Hi Christina. The reason I decided to learn English six years ago is because I've always wanted to do it. I had always studied French (side note; your accent is flawless) but when I could retire, I started to learn your mother tongue. Let me to say that for me French is easier than English. To understand native speakers is beyond my wildest dreams. Thanks for your lovely videos.

Hi, Christina! Thank you so much for your lessons. Besides been an awesome teacher with a perfect pronunciation you have a special charisma which attracts attention and admiration. Also, it is clear that you really know how to summarize your lessons. Portuguese (Brazil) is my native language and your videos are clear and complete with subtitles allowing us to download them to repeat the lessons at any moment. Congratulations and please, keep up the excellent work!

Hi Christina, I appreciate very much your lessons. They help me a lot to learn more about different topics. However, I fell like I need to go abroad with my family for different reasons and one of those is to practice.
I have tried for several years to move out of my place and go in a very nice town where there is an international high school. I even tried to have them registered in an high school by sending documents showing that they were good students. All my attempts until now failed.

hi, Christina, thanks a lot, this video proved to one of my private pupils that between his school English teacher and me, I wasn't the wrong one when explaining the -ing verbs, specifically verb to like, that was a real war between she and i, because she argued that she had studied a master degree on English Teaching and I don't even have a degree, but 43 years learning and 38 sharing knowledge, warm regards from Mexico!!

Hi Vicky! Hah, I'm glad that I could prove you right with your student ;-) I always say that it's not the diploma that counts, but the experience and the real-world proof that something works! Experience is the best teacher as we say! Or, also "I graduated from the school of life" to mean that you learned a lot of things through experience and doing things, and learning from that! I'd love to visit Mexico one day!! Such a beautiful culture and people!! All the best!

Besides watching your video, I used to read books. My sight is not that good and until now I have done a lot of medical exams but did not want to have glasses anymore(I bought some but I am waiting for another solution). I enjoy walking outside (for medical reasons, I can no longer run) and people who have glasses know how it is when it's cold outside and you go into the bus, for example, your glasses are covered with condensation).
It's really a pity not to be able to read because it was one of my favourite activity. Books were not always available at libraries. Some people kept them for a while and to buy them, you have to have the budget and enough room.

There is a difference in using the ing form or the infinitive with the words like, love, hate and start. For example I like boxing and I like to box. The second one is more personal, the person is doing the activity himself, rather than just watching boxing on television or etc.

Don't forget with Remember, forget, sorry the meaning is so different....even though you can use either ING or infinitive.
i remember eating Pizza. ( before)
i remember to eat spaghetti ( after)
i forget eating rice and rice. ( before)
i forget to eat chicken ( after)
