I agree Sig Sauer P226/P229/P229 are the best of the BEST DA/SA duty grade pistols...but dont ever sleep on the HK USP this is top tier ..and an amazingly durable battle tested pistol as well...i have them all..HK USP is no joke!

My issue with Glock is that after nearly 40 years and 5 generations of producing their design, they should be the absolute best, most refined, and feature rich pistol at a fair price. The sights, the trigger, the serrations, the stippling, and the ergos should be completely sorted out and on point. The Glock should be the yardstick by which pistols are measured... but no, they're pretty much middle of the pack these days.
Sig's P-320 got the military contract for 3 reasons: 1) A modular pistol was specified and the Glock isn't a modular pistol, 2) the Sig passed the trials, and 3) Sig was low bidder,. and we all know that in today's world "military grade" means it was built by the low bidder.
    DA/SA? I prefer CZ, but it's hard to beat a P-226 or P-227.

I'm going to agree with you on the fact that I think it's strange that there is not a model that is 100% ready to go out of the box. And what I really mean by ready to go is at the very f****** least some metal sights! But then again I really do understand glock's position on this. They are known for being the most customizable sidearm on the market so I really do understand wanting to save a buck on things that you're probably going to trash and replace anyways 👍 but then again, why doesn't the price translate? They definitely float off their reliable reputation. I don't necessarily think that being the most refined gun is most necessary for a battle pistol. The serrations in the build quality of the frame in the slide itself is perfectly adequate imo. Nothing to write home about but definitely serviceable and well made. But then again it's weird that we don't have a super refined model that we have the option of purchasing. And as for the features I don't think that that's Glocks game and I do respect it's simplistic minimalist design. However I'm a double single action guy so I love my prominent controls 😊 but for a striker fired Fanboy I can definitely see why Glocks are the most popular striker fired gun. But they will never compare to a P220 series 😊...ever

I totally forgot to comment on the last bit. You're right I should have mentioned the fact that Glock was definitely floating off their own merits when they refused to introduce a modular design to the pistol trials 😂 😂 😂 what a Glock move 😂 CZ is definitely awesome. It has it's merits 👍. The CZ 75 Rami Decocker is something I have been looking for. I could buy one online but I will never ever ever ever buy another gun online. That's a whole video in and of itself. 😂. Thanks for the awesome comment bro. Definitely a well-thought-out insightful opinion.

@@brokeboytactical4397 I'm with ya. I never embraced the whole Glock culture (and it IS a culture). I've never wanted to buy a Glock and change everything about it, I'd probably go with a clone like Shadow Systems.
As far as reliability, every modern striker pistol from Smith, CZ, Beretta, Canik, FN, Sig, Walther, etc are reliable. The Beretta APX A1 for example, is a really nice pistol and $400 w/tritium and optics cut.
My grandson just got his carry permit and I didn't want him starting out with a striker pistol... so I gave him my CZ P-01 DA/SA w/de-cocker. I just think it's safer and he shoots that gun really well. It has Dawson night-sights, lock grips, and 600 lumens on the rail.

I do not own a single/double sig, but maybe i should based on your recommendations. Mike Glover really likes em. Sig and Glock are both great companies known for producing quality products that aren't crazy expensive. I keep a 17 with a light on it for the house, and a 365 appendix for when i go out. Hundreds of rounds thru each and not a single failure to fire or anything like that, not once. Both are extremely reliable. Caveat though, Glock sights suck. Thats not my opinion, thats a known fact. They're cheap... and fly off. Ive never met a LEO who hasnt replaced his 17 sights, so you might as well do that as soon as you make that purchase. But... that can add $100-200 to the total price. And now that we are talking $600-700 for a pistol... there are better options out there. My biggest beef with Glock is that they havent innovated enough over the last 2 decades while othet striker fired pistols have brought a lot to the table. Now that just my opinion, but i dont think im alone in that sentiment.

Absolutely! I still stand by the facts though. The striker fired guns from Sig have not proven themselves the way they Glocks have. But I will say they are pretty impressive so far 👍. That in no way means I would never buy one or own one I just want to make that very clear I literally mean if it was a life or death decision and you put a p320 in front of me next to a Glock 19 or a Glock 17 or really any Glock I'm just going to have to choose the Glock 😂. But as a Sig Fanboy I really hope that Sig Sauer keeps it up with producing high quality striker fired guns because I'm very impressed so far. Now if you were to give me the choice between any Glock over a hammer fired Sig especially a da sa I'm definitely going to choose a Sig. Every time, no questions, hands down.

Man my mentality of handguns most of my childhood and young adulthood was that a handgun is weaker than a long gun so better carry a big one in a big caliber the few times i felt i needed to. Ruger super blackhawk 44 magnum with a 7.5” barrel. Shot a few 357 magnums some 38’s, even a 9mm of my buddies a few times. It never really sank in till a few years ago at the range my dad put his fairly new sig p365 in my hand told me to check it out. Was the smallest pistol i had ever shot, i did not expect much out of it. I couldn’t miss with it! That was the first sig i ever touched, and i still havent got me one, it is on my list. It is still just a tad too big for me to carry every day regardless no matter what with no excuse. So once super duper macho caliber dirty harry me carries a ruger lcp2 22 everywhere i go within the confines of our messed up laws. And i catch shit from my like minded buddies with their bigger guns and bigger calibers they have in their glovebox, or their night stand, never been carried on their person ever. The world is a funny place. Does that make me a politician flip flopping like i did…. My heads a pretzel, i gotta pretzel in my head…. Vote for me!!!

Well my opinion on Glock and the truth about Glock CAN be two completely different things. Again as I said I am a Sig fanboy even though I will always stick with the facts I prefer a double single action firearm over a striker firearm so I'm sure that that will always bleed into my opinion 😂 But , I'd be more than happy to tell you though because I do have a much higher opinion of Glock as of late. My shield plus has started developing some CONCERNING problems. Been having failures to extract and failures to feed with the Shield Plus left and right even with the new magazines that Smith & Wesson made me buy 😡. AND the spring steel that they are using in the mags is absolute garbage! My springs on my "old" mags are already going out. Both mags have been the direct result of my failures to feed because of nosedives. Yes I leave them loaded but I've only had the firearm for about 4 months now maybe? And up until recently I've been shooting it quite regularly, 115 grain Winchester white box nothing crazy. Absolutely no excuse for that and Smith & Wesson left my dick swinging in the wind. They told me I was more than welcome to buy some new magazines but they weren't going to send me any new ones. and as for the extractor I couldn't really possibly have the experience needed to spot out a problem like that...yeah!!!! They said that!!!! "When I extract the last round out of the chamber it doesn't f****** extract anymore!" Who knew it took a gunsmith to point out something so complicated 😂 This makes six newer production handguns that I have bought that have developed some kind of catastrophic problem well within 2,000 rounds. Go check out my Colt king cobra video what a f****** disaster! But my glock 43x and my glock gen 5 34?...tip top 👍 it seems to me that a lot of quality firearms manufacturers quality control is dipping lately and Glock seems to be keeping in Pace with the quality they've always been delivering which is reliable as f***. So until all the other major brands can get their s*** together I'm going to be singing Glocks praises. They deserve it

Good video… I’m a S&W fanboy over anything, I love my M&P’s and I have a couple Glocks that I like too and don’t plan on getting rid of (43X and G27). I don’t really have much of a desire for any of the Sig polymer guns but I definitely would like one of their metal DA/SA like you’ve got here… I had a Ruger P95 DA/SA that I traded my brother and I miss it… I had more round’s through that pistol than I have any other, literally thousands ( from back when ammo was cheap) the only DA/SA pistol I still have is a Bersa Thunder… I wish they were more common because I like the safety feature of that first long trigger pull for carry… but back on the subject, Glock isn’t my favorite ( ergonomically) but I 100% trust them and respect their reliability and although I’m a S&W fan, if $**t did hit the fan ,I’d be torn between my G27 or my M&P9c if I had to choose only one

Congrats on getting rid of that "POS" King Cobra. However, I am a Glock fan because of "Cost". When I went to purchase my first pistol I was going to get a Sig 229, but when I saw the cost, I walked out with a Glock 26, which I had been researching and considering anyway. I now own two Gen 3 Glock 26 and a Gen 3 Glock 29. I prefer the Glock 26 over the 19 and 17 because I can use a 10-round mag (and I am not a fan of 'after-market' magazines) in certain jurisdictions. Plus, with my Glock 26, I can use a 33-round magazine if needed. But I am still torned between getting a Sig 229 and a Beretta 92A, not 92sf. 92A has an 18-round magazine, the 92sf has a 15-round magazine. Plus, and a great feature, I like the slide of the Beretta. I don't think there would ever be a case of Failure-to-Feed because of the straight-line/in-line barrel or a Fail-to-Eject because of the grind out metal on the slide. Give me your "Opinion", I'd love to hear it.

I definitely understand they are quite expensive. Well worth it I promise you but they are out of a lot of people's budgets. You definitely made a good choice with the 26 in my opinion that's going to be the best model of Glock to go with especially if you're only going to have one. I know you have more than one you obviously stated that but I still stand by my statement if you're only going to have one Glock the 26 is definitely a great option. As for going between a Beretta 92 or a 229 it's not even a question! I guess maybe it is a question because they are designed completely differently but if you're looking for the absolute best dasa pistol you have ever fired in your life you want that 229 👍. As I stated the Beretta 92 is f****** awesome there's absolutely nothing wrong with it I just far far prefer shooting the Sig over the Beretta. But your comments really lead me to believe in my experience that you have never shot anything else in your entire life other than Glock, you have never branched away. And look, you landed on a good pistol. I'm not going to lie but you cannot sit here and say that they're as good because they're not there is no way on Earth that any Glock ever made is going to be better than an all-metal double single action Sig Sauer p229 or 226 you are not going to be able to convince anybody on the planet of that 😂 Glocks are reliable and they work but I'm going to tell you this right now the only frames that I have ever seen crack or shatter in my life have been Glock frames. NOW!!! it's only because of the most common firearm on the planet. I'm not ignorant enough to believe that it doesn't happen with any other polymer firearms because it definitely does. But when you talk about firing pins breaking you're implying that only Glock is reliable and only Glock can be trusted and you're almost implying that Glock is infallible. Glock perfection my ass I've seen an extractor fly out of a Glock 42 after about 400 rounds of basic b**** American eagle 90 grain full metal jacket 380 ACP. And I'm still giving them the respect that they deserve. I'm still saying that they're the best polymer striker fired gun that you can buy especially under $800. And I say slightly because I do understand glock's position on not dropping a lot of money on something you're going to trash and replace anyway. But it does strike me as odd that they couldn't just throw some metal sites on there for us. I mean after all it is a combat ready firearm that doesn't have combat ready sites I think we can both agree on that that's kind of strange 😂 but I digress. I have a realistic view on the Glock trigger it's perfectly adequate 👍 it's not bad but it's not good either. What it is is predictably meh 😕... But predictable nonetheless which means you can train with it. I see no reason that it absolutely has to be changed.

I'm lazy like that I guess 😂 but that's just me I definitely understand why people love to build ARs and why people love to build their own Glocks

@@brokeboytactical4397 I carry a p320 xcompact and it’s a beast. I love everything about it. The trigger, sights. Accuracy. Just all around my favorite carry gun. The only other gun I could compare was my m&pC 2.0 9mm.
I did put some truglo night sights on the m&p at the time where I worked night shift and was always out during the night.
