    While, I hear you, It is not meant for 25 yards. You should be able to hit with that at 10-15 yard max. For me in my skill level, that’s 10 yards. You also need nine rounds, why you ask? It’s simple 2 to 3 bad guys. There is a small percentage of attacks by criminals that have two or more individuals in it. Being that the LCP Max and Guns like it that are 11 ounces unloaded or less, those guns have a high percentage of being on you when something bad goes down. Therefore decent sights and a 10 yard maximum is a must. You don’t have to shoot 2 inch groups, but you do need to be able to place tea cup plate, size groups into the target consistently. I don’t trust guns without decent sights and very bad triggers. The LCP Max while it has a heavy trigger, it is not terrible, you can learn to live with that, and it does increase safety in the pocket holster. The LCP Max is thicker, however, if you’re not wearing skinny jeans and maybe wear something like 511 tactical pants with good pocket space or summer cargo shorts, again those have good pocket space, which you are going to need anyway, for keys in the other pocket, wallet, etc. I like the LCP max for the fact that it has amazing capacity, and amazing sights. While almost being too thick, is just under that threshold and contributes to being able to for such a small gun, help control recoil. the only gun that’s better is the S&W bodyguard 2.0. However, it doesn’t come with a pocket holster. Long story, short, LCP, Max and S&W bodyguard 2.0 are the pistols to beat. I prefer not wearing a boat anchor all the time. Unfortunately that’s what most 9 mm micro pistols feel like. It’s about high percentage of carry to ensure peoples safety, these guns do that in spades. Anyway, thanks for reading my contrarian opinion. As always, you do what works best for you.

    I have a sig p938 that I really like, shoot well, I already have lots of 9mm ammo. But it's like you described others, just slightly too big for the pocket carry, it's snaggy. (I learned a new word today) I have only seen 1 lcp1 and I didn't even pick it up, but I do remember noticing how small it was . Now I'm trying to decide if I should get a lcp1, or just appreciate all the things I like about the p938 and use my nice holster. I actually started carrying a NAA Earl .22 mag with 3" barrel, and not only is it very easy for pocket, but I can literally put all 5 shots in the bullseye at 5 yards. But, it's single action only, and only a .22mag. I know the lcp1 is only like $199 right now, but finding 380 ammo, practicing with it, and I know I won't shoot it as well as the p938, or the Earl. I'm worried I'll regret even getting it, but I keep seeing videos like yours, I guess I'll just have to get one.

    • @brokeboytactical4397
      @brokeboytactical4397 28 днів тому

      Stingers and mini mags to this day perform the best. I put 500 rounds through it pretty quickly. I mentioned them in the video but I believe the brands were CCI stingers, CCI Mini mags, CCI Velociter, federal punch and Augula. The only one that I would say that it doesn't really seem to like the velociters for some reason. Had a few nose dives. With 22 LR that leads to a completely busted round as you know. But other than the occasional dud all the others performed as expected. Since then I've taken it pretty easy on this pistol. It's just a carrying pistol. I pop off a magazine or two each time I go to the range now but that's about it. I'd say I'm close to 600 rounds now. I have definitely heard this when it comes to reliability. However I cannot report that experience. It's been a pleasure owning/shooting/carrying mine. If you do have a problem with yours I would just send that off to Ruger and have them replace it or repair it. Ruger is good like that

    • @brokeboytactical4397
      @brokeboytactical4397 Місяць тому

      When somebody asks me what they "need" for EDC or "where do I start?" when it comes to a knife, a configuration of victorinox is always where I recommend they start. I don't know if I get confidently say that it's the best but I will say that for being as inexpensive as it is in combination with its stainless qualities and pretty decent edge retention I would say that it is an underrated and unappreciated Steel for sure. It's definitely nothing exotic and it's definitely not a super steel. However, like Buck I'm impressed what Victorinox does with this inexpensive Steel. I get about 420HC levels of edge retention out of this steel when I've put my own edge on them. Which I think is perfectly fine for what you're paying for. For about 50 bucks you're getting a high quality little multi-tool and a decent little pocket knife that comes along with it. You also get a little piece of History. Again probably the easiest and most recommendable start for a knife enthusiast imo

Yeah you're not going to get the fancy grips and attention to detail but the internals are of the same quality and standards as the legion series. Butter smooth trigger, excellent reliability, very reliable and solid as a rock. It's a 229 for god sakes 😂

    • @brokeboytactical4397
      @brokeboytactical4397 Місяць тому

      God no man I have 2050 subs 😂😂😂. Even if I did have a sponsorship from Spyderco that wouldn't affect my opinion. The Cold Steel srk carbon V was my first big boy fixed blade. EXCELLENT KNIFE!!!! My pre GSM Cold Steel srk San my vg10 is also excellent. I love my cold steel AD10 lite as well. It's just a fact that you will have to send your Black talon back to Cold Steel if it's serrated. Cold Steel will even tell you this it's not a recommendation it's a fact you will not be able to sharpen these on your own at least not properly which is why they came out with the non serrated version. You shouldn't be using a knife like this for utility anyways and I'm sure that you don't you sound like an educated person. So I hope you can agree with me when I say that most people break this rule and use whatever knife they have on them. So for the average person I do believe that the Spyderco would be the better option in terms of maintenance. I also believe that due to its size it's going to be a better option for Carry for most. You have to understand that when I recommend something that I'm generalizing that I'm speaking to the masses. I did even clearly state in this video that the cold steel was a better bargain by far!!! There's no getting around it it's the same design, you still get a wave feature, you get S35VN steel, you get G10 scales and it's larger.... And it's less money 😬. Yet I still recommend the Spyderco... You should be training with your knives which means that they're going to dull and you need to know how to sharpen it and at the very least be able to. The fact that you absolutely have to send the cold steel in to being maintained is why the Spyderco beats it. But if those things don't matter to you, I think you have a perfectly fine knife. I still stand behind the fact that it tears your pockets to s*** but if you can live with that I say go for it bro. I know this from firsthand experience with my cold steel AK-47. I would just recommend putting it through its paces and making sure it has a proper heat treat because GSM took over Cold Steel and they are a mass conglomerate and I have been hearing all over the place that cold steels heat treats have been taking a hit in quality 😬

      Amazon is full of fakes, and some of them are good fakes, but fakes, nonetheless.

      You do have to be careful of course. But all you have to do is report those sellers to Amazon and they will remove them immediately. You can pick up some obvious fakes (clones). They have one of the blur they even call the "generic blur" 😂😂😂. I'm not even kidding, I don't know how they get away with it. Just use your eyes and be smart and buy from the actual stores themselves. WE/Civivi has got one cjrb has got one and Kizer has got one. Hell even bladehq has a store on Amazon. No joke they really do. You just have to be careful and use your brain

    Good video, There is a lot to be said for a reliable budget gun. We all have to lock our guns up in our cars from time to time because you just can't carry in some places. Even in a good hidden lockbox guns do get stolen. I've been carrying for over 40 years and have been lucky but I also drive boring cars nobody would steal or break into. My solution to reloading under pressure, and with arthritis, is a second gun. For me that means two j-frame .38 special Airweights, one in each pocket, but I would consider two LC9Ss. Or 1 j-frame and 1 LC9S or two LCP Maxs. Heck, If I knew I was headed to a gunfight I'd bring a Glock 17 and a 12 gauge (or a platoon of marines) but the reality is a 7+1 EC9S is enough gun for 99.99% of conflicts we will ever encounter.

      Good old-fashioned New York reload is definitely efficient. If you can carry them I don't see the harm and carrying too firearms. I find it hard enough to commit to one 😂😂😂. I'm an honest carrier I wish I could say I was Mister tactical all the time 😂😂😂. But you're absolutely right A j frame or an ec9s like this is going to be plenty sufficient for 99.99% of self-defense scenarios that an average civilian would find themselves in. Sounds like a good Carry bro and I appreciate your input

      Carrying two Airweights is easier than you think. When they first came out I carried two LCPs that was really easy. I may go to two LCP Max's or EC9Ss at some point. I'm a big old guy so I have big pockets. Stay safe.

    Speaking to the longevity of these, I actually wore out my Model 642 after 5 years and 7,000 rounds. The hole in the frame for the cylinder arbor egged out from recoil, until eventually the timing went to pot. I started having failed primer strikes because the primer was being hit so far off center, and the bullets were also tumbling since they were so deformed from being put into the forcing cone off center. On the contrary, my Ruger LCP has roughly the same round count, and is still going strong. I ended up replacing my 642 with a 340, for the endurance package (it has a steel bushing at that hole). Like you said, I just carry 38Spl in it though.

      Glad that you said all this because a lot of people are under the impression that these are unbreakable infallible little guns. " Never jams"... 🙄 As if that's the only thing that could ever go wrong with your firearm. They are very solid little tools but don't get it twisted they break just like everything else. If you're running a healthy diet of plus pee through your plus p rated 38 special it's going to take a s*** on you real fast. Even Colt and Smith and Wesson will tell you tonight put too much plus p through your firearm. That's why a lot of people like the 357 magnums. Just like you they like the ammo versatility and they like that it's a little more robust. But I 100% believe you these things can definitely happen. I am however baffled at your LCP is still kicking over your revolver though. That's quite like I said I haven't put that new LCP of mine or that 637 through a lifetime of shooting yet so I wasn't sure but in my mind I was confident that the revolver would definitely Outlast it. That's really interesting!!! Again thanks for for the input

    Ammo fussy!!! I bought one. I don't trust it and don't carry it. My pocket carry is a Kel tec P32. It works every time. LCP II is one of Rugers screw ups. Not reliable. Read the reviews.

      I'm sorry you had a tough time with yours. I made it through 500 rounds before making this video with only a few failures due to bad ammo. All of those were within the first 200 rounds as well. There are slew of good reviews on this gun including my review. As for me reading reviews I don't need to because as I stated before I have personal experience with this firearm. But thank you for sharing your experience regardless. Send it in to Ruger they'll fix it for you. Then it'll be utterly reliable like mine
