What do you think of the trajectory of improvements to Xpeng and Nio software? If someone buys this or a Nio et5t today (v Tesla) and locks into owning the 2023 hardware, how much better will autonomous driving and other software-powered features be in another year? 2 years? leveraging the 2023 hardware?

The nio hardware is more than capable of handling the future software, lidars, 1016tops chips. And now companies are moving to the BEV methodology that does not heavily rely on Lidars, so the HD map will nolonger needed. Plus NIO is making their way to city piloy, chatching up to Xpeng (currently leading the ADAS in China).
But where you located? ADAS from China are restricted in Europe and US, just like FSD is in China.

but it seem Xpeng dosn´t get it for Europa marked. WE want hatchback not tesla sedan with small trunk opning, we don´t care about the trnk size. but the opening need to be big. also All sedan and hatch need to be able to have Tow bar, if it don´t the car will NOT sell in europa

P7 does has tow hooks😯, you can attach a trailer.
But the reletively low power of P7 and high wind resistance of trailer can make this a bit hard.
