- Hi all, I'm Jefferson, a tech-savvy former software engineer at Alibaba.
A current car owner of a Xpeng P7 and a Xpeng G3
I see Xpeng's cars more than just vehicles, and I see Xpeng more than a company.
Now that I bought their second car Xpeng P7, I'd like to introduce the good stuff from my P7.
In the next couple of videos, I'll dive deeper into more specs, overall driving experiments and of course, Xpeng's autonomous driving

This is insane, they're already so far ahead. You can say 4 or 5 commands and it hears them all now that's serious. I would say 'lets go!' and it sets my car exactly the way I enjoy it.
Can you buy one in the states if not us Americans is still getting screwed from behind from the big oil companies

@@rickeyrockett2840 it is unfortunately in the Chinese market rn. I think Scandanavia and even Australia have it currently but no plan to export to the US until later this year maybe or 2023-2024... I would so buy this tbh HAHAH

Oh right! I'd be very interested in seeing the XPeng superchargers in action and some idea what kind of charging speed it's capable of.

I'm watching out for Lucid Air too, very appealing.
Keep in mind, Xpeng P7's price is almost 10k USD cheaper compared to the Tesla Model 3 between their cheapest models getting sold in China (Produced in the Chinese factory located in Shanghai).
The performance model of P7 is almost 15k USD cheaper than Tesla's performance model. If we are solely comparing the pricing
The price is crazy affordable, are they making a profit on these vehicles?
But short on performance when comparing apples to apples! You get what you pay for!

I think it looks quite good! My concern would be how it handles in the snow and generally bad weather that we get in Scandinavia...
The older version of XPeng g3 already exists there in Scandanavia and accroding to reviewers it is doing quite well. So since this is newer maybe it has also improved

If Xpeng is buyable in Germany i will test an possible buy it...but there are so much more interesting cars to come in the near future...Aiways U5, Lucid Air, Rivian R1T (my favourit) and some more new EV´s from our European manufactures. Tesla's patents are free for anyone to use. They stated their "open source" policy starting in 2014. So a lot of companies started using Tesla innovations. Note that Tesla has and will not abandon its patents; it just allows anyone to use them "in good faith." No one else will be allowed to patent Tesla's patented innovations but Tesla will not charge for their use.
Plus they are not straight copies, Nio and Xpeng have their own moats and different needs to fulfill, they are putting in their own twists. Xpeng is not worried about competition from other EV manufacturers. Not everyone's gonna want a Tesla or a Nio or an Xpeng. It seems cars are about to get fun once again after so many years of everything being the same all accross de board.
Love the review but I live in the US and don't expect to see Xpeng here for many years. Xpeng is already in the largest EV market in the world at home and I don't see any reason for them to import to the US.
I'll probably get a Model S myself but I still wish Xpeng great success. I think they've done a fantastic job with the P7.
Yes used old Model S is becoming really cheap now. Probably in couple of years old Model S might be had even much cheaper. But is it a good deal? Why is the previous owners of Tesla dumping their car?
@@springer-qb4dv My dentist still has his first one, I believe a 2013, and he still loves it. I told him I was considering an S and he was off and running with his stories.
A friend of my neighbor has a P85 and loves it. I see it parked in the garage area once in awhile and he takes very good care of it.
Even used they're not cheap, just the small battery ones like 75's or older style models that don't have updatable hardware for FSD. When you start looking at used S models, you begin to pick up on why certain ones are for sale, mostly small battery size. If it's a desirable model with big battery and FSD, the prices stay pretty high.
I kinda gave up on buying used because of that reason. On desirable models you just don't save that much cash.
I think I'll be buying new, especially with the recent price drops.

3:02 - You need to test those doors when the car is fully covered with 4 inches of snow and those handles are all frozen cold.
They don't tend to get 4 inches of snow in china very often ;')
im from Germany and its amazing how fast the chinese car companys build good cars. Lets see in a few years with tipical problems like quality of the steel and so on. But i badly want one next to my model 3 :D

And FYI they both have copied each other in certain design elements.. the Chinese just builds a car that's 90% similar to a pre existing car (just design,not quality) and rebadged them... That's why Toyota can sell globally and these Chinese cars are not allowed to do the same. Every company copies each other to some extent but no one does it so blatantly and completely like the Chinese... I mean they don't give a shit they got 1.4 billion people so they are just fine selling to their own people. And since these companies are government funded and that commie government don't give two fucks about the safety of their people, it's all "good"

It took something like 4 decades for Japanese car brands to get to European level of quality, and the Koreans something like 2 decades. The Chinese are on a much steeper trajectory. It has the biggest home market. It is now the biggest producer. It will soon be the technology and design leader, and will leapfrog over the legacy ICE technology.

Good video, Tesla should pay attention: being minimalist in design would mean losing potential car buyers. That's Tesla's greatest threat: designing cars to suit their taste, not what the buyers want.
