Is XPENG P7i really got an upgrade? NO...but actually YES!

  • XPENG P7 was the 1st Chinese Smart electric sedan that tried to challenge the Tesla Model 3. Despite being questioned by some people, it sold very well in China. Now that XPENG has brought us an upgraded one: the P7i, let’s see if this new car can bring XPENG another win.

    XPeng is a victim of its own success. Despite its industry leading ADAS, voice assistant and overall tech, people expect the same luxury interior and entertainment system as upmarket brands like NIO and Li Auto, yet want it to be priced like a BYD.

    Most of the car interior is not more inline with Tesla, which is a good thing. This looks "complete".

    your channel is really good. can you measure cabin noise on the road? you can use apple watch or any app that does it or even getting a proper noise measuring device

      thank you, that's a nice method, will test it next time. We do have a decibel meter but realy use it.

      @@madev_channel thank you. Decibel meter is the only comfort feature that is measurable with data. Best measure speeds are 40mph/60mph/70mph

    how about the charging speed? I have read there was an update too. This could be important for European usage.

    Why do you compare P7 agains model 3 - the P7 is much bigger than the model 3.:
    The P7 is between model 3 and model S size ways

      size is not the major reason, it's the performance, price, specs, prduct positioning, target customers and everything else

    BUt in europa has removed the Lidars in the front.. Thats kill the car for europa sale. include europa has for many years use trailers, that means Tow hook is a STANDARD Option on all cars.. Xpeng has forgotten that. Xpeng has been so focused to copy Tesla faults.. Small trunk opening, and No Tow Hook...

      well that's interesing, Xpeng said they will bring XNGP to Europe by 2024, but how will they do that if they remove the lidar...Maybe cars in 2024/5 will have that

    How can you expect the intelligent L4 AD to be included in the starting model U$36K car? How much Tesla is asking for their FSD? U$8K!
    I would say the L4 AD is not only the best in China but also better than Tesla FSD.

      Desipte Tesla FSD's capability, it is still L2. Only Mercedes-Benz have certified L3.
      This P7i is L2 and will support future update for L3.

      @@madev_channelSaying Tesla is still an L2 is a misnomer. For all practical purposes it is a L3, verging on L4. However, Tesla *must* claim it is a L2, because otherwise they will have a huge liability.

      yes, if only talking about the capabilities, Xpeng NGP, Huawei ADS, and Tesla FSD can be seem as L3, or even L4

    In the United States of America,I'll take a Nio. I don't want to wait 15 minutes or 30 minutes for a car to charge. Give me a battery swap and I'm good to go.

      I've seen several media test driving et7 in san jose nio center recently. maybe it will be available in the US in a few years.

      yep, the seat of p7 isugly and uncomfortable. but seat of p7i is improved
