Years back, I bought a 1990 Lesabre for $75 with a "bad transmission". Figured out it had leaked all the fluid out of the CV axle seal, replaced the seal and drove it for 6 months then sold it on ebay.
There are like 4 of these in my family, lol. Beautiful cars and you can buy them cheap and in really nice shape. Most were originally bought by older folks, are optioned to the max, have relativity low mileage and were garage kept. Get one cheap at an estate sale because the Telsa-driving grandkids want nothing to do with this lovely beast. :) Oh, and Terro liquid for the ants. Put some around, wait a day or so...no more ants.

That is actually a '97 LeSabre despite the early build date. GM really deviated from the new model year starting in September at times. I had a 2005 Park Avenue that was actually made in March or April of 2004 and all '05 production ended in May or June of '04 and the 1996 B-Bodies had an extended model year up until December of '96.
I would have cycled it a few times to be sure the air was out of the system. He's taking his life in his hands crawling under a car with a untested lift. Usually the hydraulics hold the car with the locks as backup, with his he better hope he has the locks engaged
I still say one of your future projects would be to design and build a custom car trailer with everything you need (eg a winch etc). Either way, cheers for the great content.
Loved driving my 98 Grand Prix GT. HAd every option but the sunroof and GTP supercharger. Too bad the engine leaked like a sieve. By 75k miles it had the oil pan gasket replaced 3xs, rear main twice, and intake and valve covers.
Lucky for me I've got a 1989 oldsmobile delta 88 royale brougham with only 89k original miles. Great grandma's church goer in her final years. Sadly the paint is worse for wear and the crankshaft position sensor has gone out along with various other issues like the starter spinning but only engaging for half a second. The interior is mint though so I think I'm gonna try to fix it up.

The '98-'04 Supercharged Regal & Olds LSS (L67) are the best GM sleepers. Also, the plastic intake is junk. The seal leaks coolant and it gets sucked into the cylinders. Change it
I have the QuickJack 7000, and I absolutley love it! I've had cars, trucks, and SUV's on it, and I've never felt more comfortable working under a vehicle. It's definitely worth it to buy some of the accessories too. The Truck/SUV kit, the pinch weld blocks, and the wall hangers for the two lifts.
I swear I ever buy another Battery charger I'm going with one you that lets you crank the car right off instead of having to wait for the charge. I have to go through the same deal. Lol
I bought one years ago when Jump packs were really expensive. Still going 20 years later great if you can reach a power socket for jump starts. Picked up a free good jump pack last week from tip with dodgy battery meter so all bases covered if can't reach socket now.
I had one of these Buicks with the 3800 great car mine was a 99 the engine module went bad and also had to replace the neutral safety switch but it had 330k on it but ran great and very good mpg
My bro-in-law exclusively drives late 1990s Buick LeSabres on his mail route. With minimal care, they just go and go. I still see a lot of them on the streets around town.
Had a 89 model that endured my kids 2 last years of school. Best car I ever had. And I paid 600 for it cause it needed a new magnet on the cam gear. Used it for so many trips to six flags with 4 kids and luggage. Was almost indestructible
Also he has parts on order and needs to wait for those to come in. Depending on where he is at with a build, I would say most delays will always be parts and availability of others that might be needed to work on his projects.
This is so awesome! I’ve got a ‘94 LeSabre, and it’s actually the only ‘94 in The Netherlands. There were two ‘95s but one got scrapped and I’ve no clue where the other one went. Looking forward to next episode!

I had a Buick La Sabre Limited styling a bit out of the eighties but the 3.8 was a workhorse. The seats were the most comfortable I had ever sat in along with the stock air ride suspension made for a super comfortable ride.
Don’t understand this purchase, 90’s model Buick with 170k, hail dents all over, be lucky to get your money back, but at least you can make a couple video’s to cover the loss.

The only cars you can find for $500 in Arizona (there's none for $300) are cars that need a new engine or a new transmission, or cars that have major body damage. When you pressure wash a car, you might want to have someone inside the car checking for leaks, otherwise you could easily ruin that nice velour interior.
Get a new or better battery, that old one probably has shorted cells, preventing the starter from cranking. I'd never screw around with a battery that has sat totally flat for many years, yes, you MIGHT get it to come back a little, but it will just be for a short time and then it will fail.
Always use jack stands, no matter how solid the lift seems. A bit of precaution may save your life in case of a failure. I'm sure you don't want to be featured in "1000 ways to die"....
I bought a 98 leather 2017.craigslist.so many problems. Wanted $1,000 talked him too $900. I've put thousands of dollars into it now,labor.new struts,radiator, thermostat, I did the upper manifold gaskets,changed the Dec oil to green coolant(dexcool eats the plastic gaskets up). Oil changes myself, intake cleaner, off valce,verything.but Ned to do subframe bushings.rears are discontinued. Engine will survive ALOT. You he v63800 . did alternator too. AC Delco professional.as the only GM alternatives are rebuilts.
Those buicks where great cars i put over 350,000 miles bought it new at the time all regular maintenance was performed the only things i had to replace was cats which became clogged up and either water pump or alternator i forget which one otherwise great car

Exactly you can get an electric one for at lowe's for about $82, and Harbor Freight has them for under $80 if you really want to go even cheaper.

I take it the car wash didn't have the brush option. That would have done a much better job at cleaning the gunk off.

Drove a 91 LeSabre 3.8 as a work car for 18 years 518k on it has it to my kid he drove it another 120k before he hit a deer in it and finished it off

They’ve got safety catches built into them. Even if the hydraulics failed completely it wouldn’t collapse.

Its a GM thing the Pontiac grand am uses them too.

That's a late 90's buick. Since they changed the headlights, Tailamps, And they moved the glovebox to fit a passenger airbag. Nice buy.
