Had my '99 supercharged Buick for a year now...
It's legit, and hilarious. Cops don't seem to be able to perceive that I'm actually speeding, it's like an optical illusion.
Stuart W ...and when you do the opposite (drive too slow), most people behind you don't really get mad as they think some elderly person is just on their way to the store or to the church. Lol.
Lmao!
i use to have a 97 lesabre and I loved that car but had to junk it for the cradle rotted away. it had a 3800 v6 and it would fly. I miss that car
The supercharged 3800 is a goddamn underrated motor
😂😂😂
Next time you drive it be sure to keep your turnsignal on.
harrismi7 lol
you look like that guy from funhaus
Came here to leave that comment. Here, have a Like.
harrismi7 and make sure to never exceed half of the posted speed limit.
like JAY LENO does all the time .... LMAO
Got a 91 park Ave with 317,000 miles. Still going.
Reliable?
I have a 1991 buick park avenue ultra it now has 92,000 miles on it...will never sell it.
Is the 4 SPEED AUTOMATIC STILL THE ORIGINAL?
Do you still have the og transmission
My mom had a 95 Park Avenue and it had the smoothest ride. The seats were softer than your favorite recliner. Loved that car.
My grandfather had that exact same car. Color and everything..... I used to detail it for him. I miss my grandfather very much.
Where's the car now?
D motherfucking he traded that in for a Cadillac years ago and drove a couple other Caddies before he passed away. He was always a Buick / Olds man though. Mostly Buick.
Tickle Fingers RIP 🌷
Im sure hes looking down and pleased you are still sharing his stories. Love is strong.

Eli Spencer Dead or alive?
does it matter?
GILF per horsepower :)
is there a difference?

Just bought a 95 regal. The old people liked me before, but now I'm a celebrity 😂
An elderly neighbor GAVE me her '94 Regal Custom sedan with the NA 3800 V6. Almost 5 years later and with 99,618 miles on it, still running strong. I now also have a 2005 LeSabre but keeping the Regal too.
I just bought a 93 regal. 95 miles body is not the best but drives good.
I just bought my 94 Park Ave with 80K on the dash and I am absolutely in love!! 🥰 I already had a 99 Lesabre right before this one, so I knew about these older Buicks and how incredible they are! But I watched your video as I was on the hunt for a Park Ave and this just solidified my need for one, especially this year! Thanks Hoovie!! I wish I could post pictures because she’s absolutely gorgeous! 😍❤️🥰
Hey there Juicy. How is holding your Park avenue after 7months later? Still going good?
@@michaelscofield2444 OH 1000%!!! I’m still very much in love and she is still just as gorgeous as the day I took her home!!! 🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️❤️ I would buy another one in a heartbeat!! Currently have my eyes on a 94 Buick Roadmaster, but a bit out of my price range at the moment 😭😂
@@ThatOneGirlWithTheFace How much did you pay for yours? I am thinking about picking up a 94 park avenue ultra with 98k for about 3500.
Anyone else wondering if Hoovie actually is going to go buy a Phantom next week?
we all need to start placing bets now! like if you think he will, and dislike if you think he doesn't.
Tell you what, rebuild one on your channel and then sell it to Hoovie. Early 2000s Phantoms are going for about $70K so I'm sure you could get a salvage one for much less
I was thinking the same thing.
not wondering, absolutely certain he will
Samcrac hi Sam!
I'm having flashbacks from the 80's and 90's when my grandfather would come up and visit from Oklahoma. The only things you are missing are a gray wool fedora, black eye glass holder in the front shirt pocket, 44 mag revolver in the glove box, a roadside watermelon, two bottles of wild turkey and a case of Pabst Blue Ribbon. Thanks Hoovie.
WE WUZ KANGZ ND SHIET
Your grandpa sounds like the shit.
Jesus, a .44 magnum revolver? Tell your grandpa if he doesn’t want to blow his elderly wrist to switch to a 9mm glock or maybe a 1911 that the military is surplusing
79 thump - Awesome grandpa you had!
Too funny. I got a great visual on that description. Bet the ol fella was a hoot and a half too.
Hoovie: this Buick is good for a young person.
Hoovie: this Buck is for grandpa
ALL BUICK haters are jealous, a 115 years old company, still making cars! WOW, I SAY GREAT FOR BUICK!!!!
I bought a Buick 92 lesabre as my first car at 17 . Was the best decision i made at that age lol.
I'm on my 4th LeSabre, it's a 2000 model. I've never liked a car more. They're like me, big, comfortable and they perform better than expected.
2005, 214,000 Miles, My first, I had no idea this car was so comfortable and seriously bullet-proof, for lack of a better term.
I got a 2005 lesabre I been trynna get me a park avenue
perform better than expected? sounds kinda sexuall...lol
reliable?
@@tednguyen2034 yes they are reliable
Making old cars great again.
When you’re old enough to say “Back in my Day, Buick was classic Luxury!!!” It sure feels weird... I’m just gonna sit in the house and watch the neighbors through the blinds.
Back in my day Buick was the fastest production car.
@@93corvettebaby with what? Cuz when you say that, i have the skylark gsx in mind
@@gtasanandreascluckinbell Grand National gnx.
@@93corvettebaby oh ok
Agreed... I wish Buick still made big floaty cars.
I have seen a GM 3.8 L engine and 4 speed transmission run for over 400K miles.
Not without new head and intake gaskets, you haven't.
@@fun_ghoul Lol seriously ? So what , You can expect some type of repairs with anything with that mileage.
@@calebniederhofer6529 It has nothing to do with mileage, dummy. The gaskets are a common fault. Don't shit on your keyboard again without getting mum's permission, sport.
@@fun_ghoul The head gaskets in these cars blew because of DexCool. Ask me how I know....
@@dorinriki Funny, because GM changed the gaskets, not the coolant.
Maybe you don't know at all.
I used to have a 1998 Pontiac Bonneville SSEi. Same chassis and engine, even had the air suspension in the back. I loved that car for all the reasons you love this one. Insanely comfortable, reliable, and quick enough to be fun at stop lights.
The 03 Park Avenue Ultra my friend had, had the absolute best ride out if any car I've ever been in. It was astonishing. Also Buick is trying to appeal to the younger crowd by making sporty cars due to the elders either being on a fixed income or dying out.
I absolutely love my Roadmaster! It’s held up well and I hope to have a Tour X some day! With new shocks and tires, it drives like a new car. Kinda...
This was my first car in high school. 1993 Buick park Avenue ultra with a supercharged V6. That premium gas was rough on them pockets tho.
I have a 93 Buick Park avenue but sadly shes not a ultra so it's a n/a 3800 but I bought it for 2100$ and drove it home ... Then the brake line blew apart
@Michael Farley II Uh, you realize wages were lower in 1993 too, right Einstein? Clean the champ tatties from between your ears, Mickey!
Paesan Control Centre You have a lot of angry replies insulting people in all the comments here
@@jamesprice2163 the brake line probably wasn't the fault of the car especially if you live in the rust belt. The car still puts out really good torque and horsepower though.
@@pianofry1138 the brake line was the issue every single one of them were rusted and I'm in Ohio but I fixed it and it was a great car I loved it
Hoovie.... you gotta go on VinWiki... Pleaseeeeee
Danny Cheeks why?
because vinwiki is life? duh
Pleaseeee!!!!
Someone please get this man more likes so hoovie sees this
Danny Cheeks factss
That car is fantastic!!! You are exactly right about all car manufacturers wanting to make sporty luxury cars. Many people don’t care about or want sporty! Comfortable and luxury is what many people want. Buick could be great again if they went back to their roots.
It is what people want or else they'd be building cars like this. You're not living in this planet apparently. In fact, people don't even want cars anymore. SUVs and crossovers is where the money is at. It's al about sales. Soft luxury cars do not sell. If people wanted fins, they'd put fins on cars. If people wanted Buick like this they'd sell them. It's a market. It's about money. For whatever reason people stopped wanting cars like this almost two decades ago. Don't you understand that? Companies don't build whatever they want they build what sells and moves off the lot
Love these cars and want to own one someday. My grandparents god rest their souls had one of these and remember riding in it as a kid.
Got one right now I’ll sell ya
Lol I have the exact same car and it's my favorite one to drive. It's like driving a couch on clouds.
Do you expect us to believe that you only got that outfit for _this_ video?
Bickety Bam
No, but that suits the car really well.
Trousers dont have enough pleats
Cant lie that outfit is sick
Sagging rear end.. and farts a lot..
Yep sounds like a grampa
so true
Lol! My car does that! A Buick LeSabre 05
OwenWalker for the win!
LMFAO 😂😂😂 Old comment but still really funny!!!
My dad bought the same one new..his last..car.he loved it! I took it after he passed away.. I felt the same as you did..a keeper...But it was rear. Ended..2 yr later.. I had to rebuild the front end and front and rear control arm bushings..due to winters..and body mounts in the front holding the engine frame.. beware best engine ever built by G.M. enjoy your ride..
Always wanted a Buick Ultra with the 3800 and supercharger. Really wanted to try the pillow top seats. Ahh.......
I actually laughed out loud at the end..."Smoked her!" Lol! Hoovie, keep doing videos like this, and I'll keep watching (and giving you "thumbs up"!)
I'm sending an offer to you right now to your AOL account
Eli Spencer too true
Eli Spencer hey, I still have an AOL account!
☹
I've had the same email account since the 90's lmao, back in the day when I had to pay the monthly sub to AOL
Gonna have to go to Wal-Mart and re-up those hours.
Karson Barnes I still have mine from 2003! 😬
I love the Buick, AND your video ... I’ve watched this SO many times!!
This has to be my most favorite video of yours, It's even got me to want the Park Avenue and I already have one highlander, one relatively new titanium ford focus, but this land yacht is a wonder to behold.

paulmaartin With a few mods..........lol
You made a big mistake.
We all expect a Rolls Royce Phantom next week, just because you said it.

I am a 61 year old great grandpa. My former father-in-law hooked my daughter up with a 95 Buick Park Avenue. The water pump failed and being incapable of having anything repaired my daughter just was going to scrap the car.
Oh no I say. Dont do that. I'll fix it. Well she says "you can have it". 🤔 "REALLY?" says I.
She signed over the title and I fixed the car. A water pump and a battery. That's all it took.
I f***in love this car. 87,900 miles. Rides and drives beautifully. A free car is always good. This one is best ever.
Man, that intro was one of the best things I've ever seen on UA-cam!
I don’t think anyone else can do a review of a Buick as well as you man. Good stuff!
With that outfit you look older than Daddy Demuro and that is difficult!
Jose Manuel he already is. Doug is 30, hoovie is 31 or 32.
Car Talk Yeah, but Doug looks like in his early 40's!
Jose Manuel don't insult us 40 year olds. Bump gramps demuro up to 50 and you'd be more accurate.
Hoovie obv needs to repair the clutch on his 355 so he "garage" it to Parker.
DADDY DOUG FIST MY ASS WITH YOUR BWC
I’m on my second park avenue. I love it
"Get off my lawn" had me actually laughing out loud, especially the unexpected one at the end.
not gonna lie.. i'm pretty jealous of that ride. I used to own a 1996 buick regal coupe with the 3.8 and it flew. It had the digital dash though and it was flakey.. my GF at the time was doing 200km/hr and didn't even notice
Mike Dancy I wouldn't want to make even a small turn (even changing lanes) at that speed in one of these things
is 200kmh like 100 in American units?
thatallredheadude 1 122mph...way too fast in a FWD bounce mobile. You could do a frontflip in this car if you brake too hard

Oh the future, I can see you at Denny's clad in white orthopedic shoes ordering soft eggs with your Grand Slam.
B Bee weighing in 350lbs and with an oxygen tank next to him, connected to his nostrils.
White shoes to match the white wall tyres.
You sir are awesome & so is this Buick. I had the 95 version of this, same color combo w/Dynaride & the aluminum wheels w/white walls. Such a classy, fun, quick & smooth ride. Miss this car still. You give me ideas to look for one after my lease is finished. Thanks!
rbielarski i had that same exact buick as you i regretted getting rid of it. currently on the hunt for a new one
The hints of Jaguar looks don't do harm for sure!
Great car and great review!
Your passion for automobiles always shines in videos about land-yachts :)
What! You have a Compact Disc player and Cassette deck in your car?! Lucky...
My 2001 Volvo S80 has both too.
My 2006 Mercury GM also has both as well....
Lucky!
HAHA!!
Philip Thomas i didn’t know you could still get that in ‘06. My ‘05 town car has both but it thought that was the last year for that
I miss my Buick so bad, it was a 1989 Park Avenue
That is an excellent car, and off the radar. Thank you for the feature tour.
Hey Hoovie I can relate how you love that Buick, I’ve had a 95 Buick Riviera for the past 13 years, same engine set up,3.8 supercharged, and I plan on keeping it for a Loooong time!! BTW I’ve almost got 200k on the engine and still running good, bought it with around 80k. Love the Buicks!!!
I inherited my grandfather's 1999 Chevy Lumina LTZ with the naturally aspirated 3800 engine. It's awesome! Another rare breed of 90's GM.
I drive a base model 2003 Century, and you're spot on. Torque for days, comfortable ride, and these things are relatively cheap, and incredibly reliable!
Had two of these in my life. So comfortable and fun to drive. Time to hit search tempest.
We just bought an 03 Park Ave ultra For $1100, and it has 250K on it, runs and drives so Smoothly, Liked the vid, Tyler check out cars in northern Iowa, much cheaper here
He is low key going to sell it in a week to buy another clapped out car
i know i said id never sell it but....
Like he did with the nsx
I can’t wait till your show comes out!!!
CivilGuy then Tyler will come out.
Who watches TV channels? What next, release an 8-Track or Atari 2600 cartridge?
I think you should ditch the Clint Eastwood impression. Your Donn Knotts impression is way better!
This guy is so knowledgeable and he's really cool. Very entertaining. Discovered dude out of the blue and now I watch is videos all the time. Park Avenues and Riviera's will always be Buicks masterpieces. By the way I currently on a 2004 Buick Park Avenue with 111000 original miles. It is not Blobby! LOL. If you ever see this I want you to know you are really fun. You make me laugh. Great videos keep up the good stuff
Of all your cars, I didn't expect to love this one so much.
I love the seats in that thing.
Dude. I love your videos! You’re almost making me think of getting one, too!
I discovered hoovie from this video bc I bought a 99 ultra (that I love) now I can't stop watching his videos 🤣
40 years later we will look up this video and compare how you look, lol.
Help! This is the third time I watch this video. The review AND the Clint Eastwood intro are both great.
THIS is exactly what I wanted! As the owner of a 2001 Buick Regal GS with the same engine I just love this! 8:13 to the end is exactly what I do
I loved the video and have always loved the way the Park Avenue looked like and sounded like. A Park Avenue sounds prestigious. A Titan of Industry would park his two-tone in front of his Mansion (circular drive drive of course) whilst his neighbours (neighbors for the US of A) drove ‘generic’ Town Cars or Devilles (or is that De Villes). Thanks for the video. Quite the (often overlooked) Iconic 90’s Luxury car and you gotta love those Whitewalls.
Uh oh he bought a Rolls didn’t he...
Harris Edenbaum No it was a Bentley
Aperson_named sorry, what was that?
Harris Edenbaum he bought a Bentley
And a rolls Royce as of 3 hours ago heheheh
You look like saabkyle grand father
haaaa he does. needs a panther.
He has a Grand Marquis, not a Park Avenue.
Clams McGee wow that’s something to know, how tf do you know what you gm vajina look like. That’s disgusting 🤢🤢🤮🤮
A high point in my life was one day on Sunset Blvd. 308 Ferarri pulled up next to me and was ready to teach me and my 2005 Supercharged Ultra a lesson. Light at La Brea changed and we were off. Guess who got smoked. The Park Avenue Ultra was and is, one fine GM product.
my uncle had a 2002 buick...and it was soooo smooth and sound insulated I was impressed
That is a great Gran Torino Eastwood impression - knew what you were doing immediately.
You were thinking of Enclave. My grandma has one lol
I love how the volume knob moves when you hit the volume up and down buttons LOL.
What a sweetheart of a car! I miss my '91 Park Avenue a lot! Love my Cadillac, but still miss my Park Avenue! I like my Buick Regal, but not as much as the Park Avenue!
Pretty sharp Buick man! Those are definitely great cars I agree. So is that going to be your Forever car?
Fast forward 6 months: I'm selling my Buick Park Avenue Ultra, here's why
Y4123 6 days*
Lmao
That's the truth. Ol Hoovie isn't happy until he buys some "treasure" that needs a loads 'o work.
Then regrets it because it was his most reliable car.
YOU are the one who did this!
😂😂 I love your vids, dude! Love how you incorporate comedy along with your car reviews. 👌🏾 ...New sub, btw.
Best thing I've watched in a very LONG time
Thus Buick will get you to the early bird special in style, comfort and on time.
Your old Man impersonation is Spot on.
Walt Kowalski lives!!
It's amazing what a fresh pair white wall tires will do! Keep them clean too, please.
My parents had one of those Buicks. It was the Ultra edition as well. Such a smooth riding car and pretty quick, for a land yacht!
People ask me all the time for used car advice around the 2k range and I always try to point them to one of these (the ultra or the regular version) and various other American luxury cars of that era. Those "grandpa cars" are tons of car for the money. Of course they hardly ever listen to me and instead end up with overpriced, ragged out Civics or Accords (around here people want way too much for a Civic with 190k and.a mismatches fender) but I do try.
james staggs i try to do the same thing when folks ask me about a reliable car. Bought a 96 4.6l Mercury cougar. Best 1100 spent. Paint still shines ac works perfect. It's good people don't care for these American barges because the prices are lower than Honda's and Toyotas with well over 100k miles.
Every newly-divorced woman around our way seems to buy a Subaru Forester, b/c they've been told the 4WD will "never leave them stranded somewhere (implied: without a man to bail them out)." They AREN'T told that those cars give worse fuel mileage AND are expensive to repair. EVERY such woman has a Forester, it's uncanny. It's apparently some kind of law; the used-car salesmen see them coming.
@MrZep420 I use to have a 1998 Grand Marquis. *BEST CAR I EVER HAD!* That car just ran like the wind!
I bought my son an '02 Buick Lesabre Custom got me so jealous everytime he drives the car off my driveway.
Love it. My brother has an '88 Lincoln Town Car. Long live the land yachts!
My first nice car was a 1999 Oldsmobile Aurora, which was 4 years old at the time. I miss that car, but didn't miss the electric gremlins she had...
She was quite quick though, which always screwed with my friends in their Hondas. Great video.
Man I love your sense of humor, there are lot of car reviewers but none of you,and you'll be surprised to have a fan from Pakistan, thumbs up for you.
I love my 2000 Buick Century! Bought it for $1900 with 63k miles! Diamond paint coated black, I get compliments at least twice a week!
These were (and still are) ahead of the curve. My 2000 Presidential Park Avenue had sentimental headlights, heads up display, heated leather seats, 2 memory settings that stored your seat position, favorite radio station and climate, dual climate control... Fuck, I think I might go buy another one.
My neighbor has a 91,000 mile 1992 Buick park avenue 1 owner that he bought from a grandma who bought it new back in the day. It’s MINT. Original everything. No stains, no nothing. It STILL HAS NEW CAR SMELL. The grandma owner rarely drove it. Unlike Hoovie’s his has Pillow interior. He has the original plates too. His also has a cassette player too. He got it for $2500
Three years later I bought a 1993 Buick Roadmaster Limited for $1500. I got a v8 he got a v6. I got leather and he got cloth. I got 58,000 Miles and he got well over 100,000 miles. Took a while but I won.
You’re so right! I’m tired of the sporty, “techy”, luxury mashups of today! Lexus IS down the tube. Used to be great.
Bryn Waddell in my eyes Cadillac hasn't made a real Cadillac since 96 for that reason
Shut the f* up, tech and modern are better.
I like simple, reliable and comfortable cars. Not these constipated angry looking but modest performing sedans, crossovers and SUV's. 2010's cars are such cancer.
"I'm Keeping My Buick Park Avenue Ultra Forever"...yeah except your latest video reveals you sold it off. What a stupid move...
Airbag suspension not so great, alternator air bags,,, he admits to 1k into the car... if he did the work himself, otherwise add another $750. Something else goes out tomorrow.
All old cars need some work, Buick parts are cheap, available, and usually easy to replace. You can replace damn near everything on these old buicks for the price of a handful of parts on a newer car (newer cars are painstakingly difficult to wrench on anyway). The only real deal-breaker for me with anything GM is that they rust faster than raw steel in a salt water lake, so you have to find one as rust free as possible and take the proper measures to keep it that way.

Can that be done with my 02 ultra ??? @TheZProtocol
I drive an old Buick as my daily. A 1989 Buick Reatta with every available option
I've been wanting a Reatta with the cathode ray CRT for years and now that I'm finally close to graduating from college and getting a decent paying job I might just have to pull the trigger and buy one. How has yours been from a reliability standpoint? It's tough to find info online being that it's so old and had such low volume production.
Max Sandy Max Sandy reliability engine wise is impeccable. Despite it being a sporty car it still is a Buick and therefore has a detuned engine. It has a pre series I 3800. The problem to look out for is the transmission. And the CRT displays are prone to failing. As far as my car goes, the only things wrong with it are an bad ABS sensor, a bad passenger side window motor, and the cassette deck doesn't work
Hamilton Dashcammer same here I have a 98 Buick pa Ultra it runs amazing jus my windows tweak some times and my abs light is on . Maybe be my front wheel bearing
Christopher M it's funny cause my passenger window has issues and my ABS light is on too XD
RetroGuy76 that's the case with my ABS light. The sensor needs replacing
I have a 98 non ultra but I LOVE it. getting some rust now and has no muffler but it chooches just fine. Fully loaded and is very comfortable with red leather. 198000km
This reminds me of my 1992 Olds 88 Royal. That thing was a cloud on wheels and even though it was beat to all hell it would still run very well.
"A giant beige grandpa car that hauls" 🤣
My step dad had many buicks he loved. When him and my mom got together she had a white Buick la sabre. And they ended up with many buicks after that. Even refering to the last la sabre as 'the pappy car'. I had to drive the pappy car for a week while my dodge dakota was down it was awful. But kieth LOVED that pappy car. He actually passed away this year. Hit by someone drunk and high going way to fast. They were going so fast even the old boat(the pappy car) he drove couldn't save him.. his 1995 Buick la sabre looked like a crushed soda can..its been over 4 months. And it just isn't real yet.
sad very sad
@SDD525 According to the original poster, he was drunk and high. Your argument doesn't really work too well with what she was saying.
