One of my favourite movies of all time. The Opening Scene alone is absolutely iconic. The Direction, Score, Cinematography, Mystery behind the Ark and Suspense all fantastic. A timeless classic!

Couldn't agree more! Each time I watch the film I discover new things about it that I love. Strangely, growing up Raiders was the one I watched the LEAST of the trilogy. Not for any specific reason, just felt like every time there was one to watch on tv, it was either Doom or Crusade...

@@kiksta My first time hearing about Indiana Jones was when I was 11 in 2008 I believe (when Crystal Skull came out). I just remember Crystal Skull being widely criticised after its release. It wasn’t until 2018 when I actually checked out all the films. I initially wasn’t a huge fan of Raiders but having since rewatched it about 4 times it’s one of my favourite films of all time and by far my favourite Indy film..

@@deansal9222 Wow that's cool that you discovered it so late. I feel like many younger people today wouldn't even give the Indy films a chance cause the graphics are dated.

@@kiksta Yeah, Star Wars seems to get a lot more recognition. I think merchandising also plays a big role.

I adore this movie. In my opinion, the greatness of a Indiana Jones movie is strongly linked with the artefact he chases. As a kid watching it, the relic in form of the Arc of Covenant was so enchanting to me. George Lucas was smart in choosing THE most important artefact from the bible. Nothing else comes close. That is, until we arrive at The Last Crusade.

Yes! I love the intrigue surrounding the Ark, particularly when Indy is explaining it at the beginning of the film.
Hmmm which do you prefer, Raiders or Crusade? Crusade used to be my favourite but now it's Raiders.

@@kiksta Both Raiders and Crusade are the best of the franchise. But I agree, Raiders is a bit more of a fun time. From the opening scene, to the staff of Ra, and the climax with the opening of the ark is so mindblowing. As you expertly laid them all down in this video. I do love the trilogy of Indi: Raiders, Temple and Crusade. But that's it, haha.

Crusade is actually 3rd for me now behind Raiders and Doom, but I'll be re-watching it again soon so will see if that changes or not. I'm actually ok with counting Crystal Skull lol, but Dial of Destiny needs to be erased from existence!

@@kiksta Temple of Doom is so much fun. Ford is so good in it. I can see why you love it a lot.
I just learned that the reason Temple was darker in tone (child slaves and plucking out beating hearts, included) was because George was going through a divorce at the time. I look forward for your review of it. Talking about Temple made me want to watch it again tonight.

@@remsan03 It's so much fun! It's a little slow in the middle portion of the film, but then once they go down to the temple, from then onwards it's fantastic.
Oh wow, I didn't know that about George at the time. Now I understand where the "heart being ripped from your chest" comes from 😂
