As an actor and stage arts student I can confirm that most of us are awkward in real life haha, roles gives us the ability to speak or think in a way we'd never dare to do ourselves, (because we're not ourselves when we're playing!)

@@escapedcops08 it really doesn't. This one and outlaw king are cinematic beauties, something we rarely see on Netflix because most of their stuff is pretty dull and boring. The way the camera perfectly captures the vast landscape and the historical accuracy already sold me. This is what you call a movie, this is truly a hidden gem and it's a tragedy that it will go unknown because the majority of Netflix's audience are teenagers who don't know what a real movie looks like (not referring to you).

I just finished rewatching this movie. That moment when king Henry realized that William betrayed him, and all the events that unfolded were a mere illusion, a manipulative sick game, and a plot conjured by evil man to seek more power, more land, and more wealth. I really felt that pain. However, to be aware that every action you did was carefully designed to make you believe you have free will, and to reach the conclusion that the actions you made were NOT guided by your own volition but someone else's deceit, which led to the loss of your dearest trusted friend, thousands of innocent people... To see the truth unvails itself and that you are KING who has become a pawn, a pupit waging and leading someone else's war... I can't bear to imagine the heavy toll and depth of the darkness that brings to one's own life.
I keep watching this film. It hits so different than most historical films. The ending is riveting. His loneliness as a king is expressive and it’s become one of my favorite films.

I'd say Timothée Chalamet is more of a classical actor in the vein of Daniel Day-Lewis. Hopefully his career is that good, but it's a lot to ask for this early on. He's off to a good start though!

Timothee isn't really the typical pretty boy, he's more of a boy next door, someone you can see anywhere but people see him as "attractive" because he's sweet and awkward, Leonardo Dicaprio when he was younger was gorgeous, pretty boy, same with Brad Pitt and such, same as Ian Somerhalder.
Kanade Lapis Everyone has different tastes. I used to think Decaprio wasn’t good looking at all. But now that I’m older and looking back he was handsome. He may not be handsome to you but he’s a talented actor that’s meant to be timeless like Leo.
Do I like this kind of movie? No, not particularly. But am I gonna watch it for Timmy and Robert? Absolutely

Edit: seems like a lot of people misunderstood this. By "real movie" I just mean the way that they're marketing. Because Netflix has such a oversatured market it's rare that they ever put a lot into the marketing.
