Tastefully disrespectful

As an English person the fee has through history have never really liked us ... uhhh... English
Thats a very french thing to do^^ i can testify
@Boomba Bun dude calm down its inspired from sheakspeare's play wich is definately pro british propaganda. If we were to do a movie on joan of Arc, we would definately depict the rosbifs as stereotypical villains. This movie is more about entertainment than historic accuracy. That said, fair enough, its through the lens of movies like this one we are seen by some. But those who would consider this movie truth without questionning are simply not worth us french giving a damn.
Edit: pas fait attention aux emojis... Tu peux oublier la partie sur "calm down" 😂
i understand what Robert Pattinson meant when he said that he signed on this movie basically to bully Timothee Chalamet lmao
😂

This is how Edward would have been had he stayed with the volturi.

He does look like Caius 😂
Haha lol
BAHAHAH
Speak American dammit! lol.
You can tell that Robert Pattinson was enjoying himself during filming.
I think that is the key to many successful movies.
Letting the actors do their job, and able to improv where they see fit.
Did you know that the entire movie of 'Joker' was improv-ed and continually rewritten/reacted? When they began filming they didn't have any ending or set storyline in place. They just filmed.
@@TypicallyUniqueOfficial wdym no set storyline they had a story and a full script, it's just that joaquin phoenix improved a lot of scenes and consulted with the director. It would've been a disastrous movie if it had no set storyline
@@mishasubin that's not true. The director has an interview on a UA-cam video where he broke down the opening scene of the movie. He elaborated on the creative process, and in there he said they didn't have a script and they lightly followed what they did write down.
I think you are mistake friend.
@BONESAW IS READY what bonesaw is trying to say is that youre both stupid.

He definitely deserved more screen time. He was a real scene stealer
Lisha Govender 100% agree
Rewatched this scene at least 6 times today

He was so good I didn't even know he is the Twilight dude! (not a fan) Until I watched vids in UA-cam and then it hit me how amazing he is. Hahaha
I agree. His scenes were amazing to watch in an already captivating film.
So an Englishman is playing the French guy and the Frenchman is playing an English king 😂
Pattinson should have played Henry V since hes known to have been 6' 3" and decently built. Makes no sense
exactly my thought! :')))
A couple dozen other comments across these videos saying the same thing. Fishing for likes
For Henry V it's not a problem because Henry V was around 87% french blooded, and is the first English King to use English as native and official language, all the other "English" Kings before him spoke only French and used only French as the official language in England. Even Henry V created England's motto in French ("Dieu et mon droit" wich means 'God and my right').

Further proof that the problem with Twilight was the direction, not the actors.

I’m just amazed at all the fanboys saying he’s going to suck at Batman. This guy is a masterful actor.
This role doesn't make me think he will make a good Batman. If you're gonna be the next Batman you demand the leading role which was The King which he should have been cast in. Instead he settled for this weak ass character who ended up getting his ass beaten and killed. Not a good look for someone about to play fucking Batman. PEACE
LOL, it's called acting range? Timothee Chalamet has played a host of characters, protagonist and otherwise. So has Robert Pattinson and literally every actor ever. I don't want to shock and horrify you, but every Batman actor from Keaton to Bale have played roles other than the lead one. Playing Batman isn't the holy grail of parts that has to get its dick sucked by all other parts ffs. Calm all the way down.
@@SiriuslyPotty Bale or Keaton never played weak characters before they were cast as Batman. That's why they were the perfect choices. You don't know jack shit. Pattinson deserved the lead and you think I'm wrong because you're in love with Timothee Chalamet you fucking creepy weirdo.
he really is
Insane One Bro Just because you’re a big star and a great actor doesn’t mean you’re right for the role. Chalamet fits the part better regardless of skill or star power. Denzel Washington is a fantastic actor, but he wouldn’t be right to play Hitler.
The crazy laughter literally gives me chills. He is such an underrated actor, simply because he starred in a teen franchise 10 years ago. He deserves more recognition for his work

Robert Pattinson is a honestly becoming greater and greater as he gets older. I think by the time he reaches the age of Pheonix or Di Caprio he will be lauded as one of the all time greats.
He really is a talented guy.
He will definently be one of the greats.

Oh, Phoenix. 🔥❤️ He’s my fave. I can’t wait to see Pattinson in Lighthouse.
As a French person, I really don't understand the bashing behind his accent. It's actually pretty good to me.
He is playing an arrogant French Prince who speaks english for making fun of both the King of England and his language.
I wouldnt have done a better job myself.
his accent was awful and i'm french. You're completely delusionnal if you think otherwise, no one, LITERALLY no one would talk like that, it feels super forced and unnatural. His overall performance was garbage, but the rest of the cast did a fantastic job.
Sincèrement, la manière qu'il a prononcé France, j'ai du regarder en ligne pour voir s'il parlais vraiment français car je trouve qu'il a un bon accent.
J'ai trouvé son accent très réaliste aussi

Damn the look in Pattinsons eyes after sir John yawned with the music gave me the chills
I love how the dauphin is trying to get a rise out of Henry, but he's not giving any indication that he's annoyed. Then when Sir John yawns (done brilliantly), the dauphin is totally rattled. Awesome scene!
Somehow stole the show with only a few scenes, brilliant performance.
Becki P It was the same with Aaron Taylor-Johnson in Outlaw King. Chris Pine is awesome in the film playing The Bruce but Aaron Taylor-Johnson brought 'The Good Sir James' to life and if you’re English you might know him as 'The Black Douglas'. I’m so happy that David Mackenzie included the Douglas war cry!
I know right watched his scenes 10 times

Lol I'm French. His accent is so spot on. But funny too. 😂
Ça va encore franchement
Son acteur est plutôt comique effectivement. 😂
En vrai ca se sent que c'est un anglais qui imite un accent français, mais c'est vraiment proche de la perfection. Un vrai français aurait eu des tonalités différentes en parlant anglais, mais Pattison fait très fort surtout en étant un pur anglais lui-même.
At 1:44 the way he says "mind" was totally English though and it broke me!😂😂
His accent is so not French it hurts.
"I have. It was stirring."
The most polite burn I have ever heard
I still think many people don’t get his performance. His accent was not supposed to be a good one. He wasn’t speaking French, he was mocking the English language in a French accent. And the context was that the Dauphin was taunting the King. Should there be a scene that needs him to speak perfect french or in a perfect french accent, he’d probably do a more accurate French accent. But the scene is about him looking so lowly at the King of England, mocking the language, thus why Pattinson decided on that accent. Also, the Dauphin’s sister and father have once or twice mentioned how much of a fool the Dauphin was so Pattinson creating a foolish character is spot on.
Bumblebee lol. No. It’s a terrible accent. Probably up there with the worst French accent of all time, You hear his natural English accent slip in on more than one occasion. His accent *is* suppose to good. This idea of him purposely doing a bad accent is ridiculous. His accent has nothing to do with the language. I’ve seen people on here excusing Pattinson’s poor performance for the very reason you are giving. But you’re grasping at straws. It’s just a bad performance by an actor out of his depth. It happens. It sounds like he is trying to imitate Inspector Clouseau or Pepe LePew. It’s awful lol.
J Howard IF he said that about Pepe LePew I think that’s just strategy on his part so he can get away with giving a terrible performance and no one can criticize him on without someone going “aha! But that’s what he was trying to do”. And if he said Pepe LePew was his inspiration then he should be ashamed of himself as an actor. Acting is about immersion and giving a performance that helps the audience suspend their disbelief so that what they are watching doesn’t feel fake & like a movie production. I don’t see a character here in this sequence, with dimension or any sense of realism. I see an actor giving a terrible performance & ruining the scene for both the audience AND the others actors. I don’t think “oh here’s (insert character name here) meeting this royal pain in the ass French monarch”. I think “oh here’s (insert character name here) meeting with Robert Pattinson who ruins the scene he’s in with an awful French accent, looking like he’d rather be any other place in the world but here, making this movie”.
GuyX 1 His character is a fool, and his accent is not supposed to be a good one. Did you even watch the movie?
GuyX 1 there are 2 scenes where the dauphin was said to be a fool, one by his sister, and one by his father, the king of france. You definitely didn’t watch the movie if you think the dauphin is supposed to be this great french prince that audience is supposed to like. Funny, because film critics actually likes his take on the dauphin’s character, saying he’s very immersed to the character that its weird that such bad accent is very believable from a fool like dauphin.
Bumblebee I don’t think you understand how acting works. Would the real character, who is suppose to be a fool, have a terrible imitation of a French accent? No. Playing a fool doesn’t mean you give a poor accent, it means playing a fool in other ways. With gestures, with your eyes. Look at Jack Sparrow. Depp doesn’t have an English accent. He plays a foolish character. But you buy the performance partly because the accent sounds legitimate. This idea that because Pattinson plays a foolish character so therefore the poor accent is part of the performance, and therefore good, is utter BS. This is a terrible performance. You know why? I don’t see a character. I see Robert Pattinson in a costume trying, and failing, at delivering a French accent. No actor, no actor who takes their craft seriously and respects their audience, would ever, and I mean EVER, purposely give a bad performance.
This movie just solidifies the fact that Robert Pattinson is a true chameleon as an actor. Not only does he transform physically in his roles, but the guy can learn various accents aside from his natural British one (Southern, American, French, New York, etc.). He is going to KILL IT as Batman.
There are two qualities that are important as an actor- presence (or charisma) and being chameleonic. Brad Pitt being an example of charisma (but you always know it's him), and Gary Oldman being the epitome of chameleonic. Honestly RP can be an 8/10 in both scores, which is a really goddamn elite score in my book.
And this is why he made me interested in the lighthouse and his upcoming batman film
Agree. I think he's going to do just fine.
Daniel L. Please! He doesn’t even come close to Gary Oldman. That guy’s freaking awesome with accent and he can be really intense with his scenes. I’m not seeing it with this guy
@@MsInsomniac1 I agree.
People who kept commenting how that’s not a french accent forget that he is playing a character that is taunting the King of uh... England. Do note that the dauphin spoke very simple words just to mock Henry. Pattinson have said his research for the accent is basically Pepe Le Pew, the looney toons characters. The dauphin’s father and sister spoke English fluently meaning the dauphin can actually speak English well, but he doesn’t want to speak it with grace, because even when he speaks English, he wants to mock the language. There are layers beneath the accent that Pattinson chose. It wasn’t suppose to be a perfect french accent, it was supposed to show a person that is taunting the King of uh.... England.
Yes this is...uhh spot on analesees

And this was when I realized the movie should’ve been about the dauphin of France.

Blablabla Joker blablabla Joker
i think he could play the batman who laughs..if there is any future adaptations
Indeed, when I thought about it, Pattinson would make a great joker. And I think who ever cast him as Batman, knew this. Because I do believe that the new Batman movie will break a lot of rules, and won't be a hero exactly, but an evenly bad person who happens to do good things overall, but by bending rules to do so. Basically, a "less evil Joker". And I think that's why Pattinson was casted. The decision was the correct one, if I'm right about the new Batman character they're going for.
He stole the show (in this case, movie). After finishing, I went back and rewatched his scenes.
