Thank you for this. I was struggling with the driver side because everyone said "It's the Blue and Green one". After a few hours of connecting, disconnecting, acquiring my own T-taps, splicing and the whole nine, it is in fact the green and black. Now I just get to futz around with it being dimmer than the passenger side. Fun.
Nevermind I lied. Went back out at night and the drivers side DRL is staying on despite the car being off and doors locked. Took my door off and will hunt down a different "correct" wire to tap into tomorrow morning. 🙄
Well I hope you figure it out, I know my method has worked on a few cars in my area without a problem. The only issue I've ever incountered is what you mentions with the driver side DRL staying on with the car off. However that only happened once, the engine was off but accessories were on. With the car completely off I've never had an issue. That issue also doesn't really bother me since when my car is off it's fully off.

Just completed the install... and it looks nice. On problem though - when it come to the push to start, when you press the start once, only the driver side drl come on, when you press twice, bith of them come on... not sure if it's only me🤔
Hmm interesting. I'll be honest with you I've only ever looked at the lights when the car is running. So I'm not sure if mine acts the same way or not. Another option that should work without a problem is an add a fuse to your interior fuse panel. A bit more work but it is an option.

@@zach_lush i think I know what the issue is, on the driver side, the wire we are tapping into is the power to the mirrors folding and unfolding, which gets power when you hit the switch once.
A different wire should be used in my opinion, which I would need to investigate
@@-ink.-3948 honestly I'm not sure, my car is parked an hour from me and I'm currently in the process of rebuilding my engine. So I won't be able to check out the wiring for awhile 👎🏻 but if you figure something out please share!

I have 2021 wrx sti i installed the lights but both are only on when power on but when turn off the car and lock it the from runing lighst stay on as the driver side mirror but the passenger side is off..and then the mirror passenger side going down normal but when goes up it atop and u have to click it until goes all the way up and i cant fix tha issue
I can only suggest you try to install it the same way I did. If you already have and its still not working. Another option you can try is running the power wires through your door into your fuse box. Connect the wires to an add-a fuse to help keep the install clean. Hope that helps you out!
@@zach_lush ThanknYou my bad what i was trying to say is when the car is on both lights are on then when off my front lights stay on for a moment as the driver side like normal but passenger side mirror stay off im not sure if thats the way they have to be or i did something wrong and now my passenger window will go down from both side but went i tried to put it up it just goes like 2/3 and stop then i have to keep using the switch until it goes up i hae tried moat of the tutorial in youtube but havent be able to fix that issue
I’m installing this on my 2017 Subaru Legacy 3.6 limited I’m having trouble tapping into the window wires for the DRL option. I’ve tapped to all 8ish wires available on the plug… any other suggestion or alternatives I can use to tap into for the DRL’s
Hey, I'm not sure how similar the wiring would be for the legacy, but I'd imagine it's close. I would suggest using a miltimeter to help find which wires are getting power so you know where to tap. I also can't remember if my DRL comes on when the interior lights are on or not that might make it difficult to find which pin to tap too. If all else fails you can run your wiring through the door, under your dash and use an add-a fuse to power the DRL. Hope this helps!
@@zach_lush yeah I tapped to most the wires on the window harness and I didn’t receive any drl power. Signal was working but I’m not sure what to do now. I still have a wire or two otherwise I’d have to extend the white wire that comes with the product and tap into other light sources on the door. I’m also trying to find those pin connectors those seemed the easiest and quicker way to connect to. I’ll have to buy the exact pin at autozone, Walmart or online if I can’t find it in person

Thank you! I got the pin connectors from one of those DIY waterproof connectors from Amazon. Just stole the pins from that.

yooo wassup man .Ive had these installed for over a year and only used the seq indicators cause i haven't been bothered to connect the drl wire but your vid makes it look so easy i'm gonna do it finally i just need to order those pin connectors .It makes such a big difference i have the seq foglight bezels already so it will all tie in .Keep the content up man i'm subbed

Zach Lush just to clarify once i connect the white wire to the pin connecter do i literally just jam the pin into the same plug as the power wire so that they re sitting on top of each other going into the plug housing ? is it a tight fit
@@saigoneze4465 yes you literally jam it in there without breaking anything of course. Double check everything works before putting everything back. Also I used electrical tape to help make sure it was held in place.
