Thanks. Maybe next time, use a towel or rags under the bumper when you're on bricks/cement and you are whacking away at plastic bezels...this is a direction I want to go and add fogs to my base wrx
Does SubieSpec sell just the wiring? SMY sells the OEM button for the interior fog light button and the 2020+ foglight and DRL kit looks so much better in my opinion.
Great video! Question, is this setup like the oem foglights where they turn off when the high beams are activated or do they stay on even with the high beams? I've read that oem kits are like that so I was wondering.
Where did you get the fog light lamps, wiring and switch kit? I can only find the fog lights by themselves. The DRL Bezel kit doesn't have the fog light lamps or the wiring and switch.
@@zach_lush Hi Zach, that's great news. Trouble is I am in Sydney Australia, so freight could be an issue. Really annoys me that the kits say complete plug and play fro WRX/STI, but they are not!😀
@@kxaudio oh yikes! Yes that will be a bit pricey. Unfortunately its only truly plug and play for 15-17 year, and 18-21 WRX with non LED headlights. I wish Subaru would've just had the connectors there already!
Hey Zach. Thanks for the video. Do the fogs work irregardless of whether high beams or low beams are on ? As long as car is powereed up they work ? Over time have you had any issues with the switch inside blowing fuse ? or the harness relay fuse to it ? ILM = indicator light module ? Thanks Russ
Hey, not a problem. Thanks for watching! The way I have it wired up pretty sure the fogs stay on. The only way I know of having them switch on or off depending on your high beams being on requires 2 add a fuses. I have personally never tested this but I've seen someone use this method somewhere. I've never bothered since with the high beams being on with fogs being on hasn't been a problem driving at night. Also no issues with fuses blowing at all.

Hey, I would like to install.JDM bezels and some fog light bulbs on my 2019 STI Base. What harness do you have that has the dash switch? I am trying to figure out what wiring I all need.
I have a 2020 sti base model working to get the exact set up as you curious is there a way to eliminate the switch inside and just have fog lights etc run all the time send link to purchase please
If you want fog light like that you can get them from any company, just depends on the style you want. For the bezels and signal harness message @subie_spec on Instagram and they can get you the pricing. They are based in Canada.
Price depends on what you want exactly. If you want the signals to work without splicing you'll need the extra harness that plugs into your factory signal bulbs. Price also depends on if you want fog lamps, or just the jdm bezels. If you message @subie_spec on IG we can get you a total cost. We are also based in Canada.
On a 2021 base and doing research now for a fog light kit... I think I'm going with the SS3s from Diode Dynamics and wanted to know what wiring kit to purchase?? So dumb these cars do not come with fogs and we have to go through all this! TIA!

I ordered the kit and it needs to have the connections got to both positive and negative of the battery. To be safe, what's the correct order to connect these two cables? Disconnect negative and add connection then tighten and then do the same for the positive or?? Rubber gloves??
@@GR8GUY54 I'm assuming your talking about the AirLift 3p managment kit? But to hook them up safely just disconnect negative, go ahead and hook up positive. Add your connection to negative, then put negative back on your battery terminal. Should be fine, not need for rubber gloves. Just don't touch the two terminals with a wrench or anything metal!
