Amazing! Really helpfull!🤩
Amazing
My mind was blown with the 3d effect. When you showed the svg export though, that just saved me so much time of trying to recreate icons I'd like to use. Thank you for that one
EDIT: Actually that gradient trick was great as well. I spend a lot of time trying to fine tune shades for lighting. This will makes things more flexible to try out.
Glad I could help!
That 3D efffect was awesome, especially showing the step beforehand of how to warp the type to the shape!
I'm from India,Love you sir, please get more videos from this type. ❤

@@willpatersondesign i also would use the distortion shape method to make my new logo, I wanted that for a really long time and didn't knew it was so easy
Wow you taught me a few new things thanks! I'm blackout drunk right now so will likely have forgotten again tomorrow, so good job I subscribed.
Haha, welcome to the crew! Hope your head isn't too sore today!
very helpfull video thank you
You're welcome!
If I see one more illustration of these big limbed people, I swear 😤😤😤
xD
For sure I missed something about the tut "Living in the process". I couldn't realize the 3D effect...something happens when I start the fusion. It became an unique color mess! :(
Very nice tut! Contiue please :)
When I get to the envelope distort step I get a Warp Options panel (arc, bend, Distortion: Horizontal Vertical) it doesn't do what yours does - it warps the text as it sits on the side of the shape, not in it's place.
Great video :) I learnt a lot
On a side note: you remind me of the character Ron Weasley from the Harry Potter Series 😅
Do you have any opinions on when to use hand lettering vs using a font? Aside from fonts being fast, isn't handlettering always better if you have the time? (logos, packages, covers etc where it's not a lot of text)
I find that sometimes starting with a font and them customizing aspects can make it feel custom enough. Hand lettering is hard to beat tho, if done well.
hi ,i wanted to know how
your knife tool cuts are so smooth
Fuck me that SVG Export thing could have saved me so much time over the years! 😫 Downloading it now... Thanks man 👊
You're welcome :D
3:56 - Hi, Will, can you please explain for me why to use this method instead of a simple grid + snap to grid? Is the number of columns or lines really important?
I guess it's just easier to have a precise gird layout on your shape rather than have it kind of auto generated by Illustrator.
Just helps you space things out evenly so they not skew
When you use illustrators grid across multiple art boards they end up being somewhat off and not even, which can throw off your whole piece. It takes a little more time to do it this way, but helps out a lot in the long run!
can made video on extension for chrome graphic designer
What program do u use
Hey king, got anything on high quality exporting for digital art sharing on instagram etc?
You could Just use Clouds and then liquify for the First Hack. Even faster and easier.
You could use anything :)
Where is the description link sir
What is that keyboard?
should I buy photoshop at once or get the subscription as a total beginner?
What font is that on your thumbnail? 😬
we need more like this
More coming!
Can we please link me to the retro font I can’t find it anywhere
Question : if I get the free 7 days Envato trial, can I actually download everything that I want from the site during those 7 days ?

Hopefully someone will see my comment, as a design community I really need some help.
I need to make a mail signature for a client. Here's my problem.
Most people tend to try keeping the file as small as possible around 30-50kb big max 200kb (taking server space = electricity = price and 200kb is max for the mail provider). And I made a clean design in illustrator but it's a bit blurry when used as a mail signature. First I tried 300*200px (for mobile compatibility) and now I have it at 72dpi at 600*200px, even doubling the dpi to 150 will double the height and width to 1200*400 aprox. I really can't find a good workaround.... Please help
Let's start from a fact, that PPI, have nothing to do with displaying on the screen. It won't change resolution of the image. It define amount of pixels per inch, and it is something you need to have in mind when preparing for print. Saving from illustrator to raster format, will also almost always look lower quality, unless you work with pixel perfect graphic.
So what you really want to do, is play with export settings. For example, is your design is flat, you can save on size by saving as PNG with limited colors. For jpg you need to dial in your settings, for best quality and smallest size. Less colors will give you smaller size.
And it's pointless to judge the quality in any other size, than it's meant to be.
In some cases it's better to have signature as HTML and only essential parts of it being images.
@@hatecaster are you in the discord? would love to show you my files
@@MrBananakopf I do not use discord at all. At least for some time now. I could take a look, but honestly I am not sure how to do it, without publicly sharing data.
Did Wilson sue you for using their logo yet?
lmao. No, because if you knew anything about design legality you would know there's nothing infringing on their copyright. It doesn't look similar at all.
I don't think Wilson own an entire letter of the alphabet...
its so helped me i`ll thank you so much ms.paterson🥰
Happy to help :D
