I'm a professional graphic designer for 5 years and this video helps a lot to remind me the importance of design principles! Thanks for this refreshing video!
Im an editor in process, currently I'm studying audiovisual communication and graphic design catches my attention. See Jack In The Box by Jhope at 3:23 min was something spectacular, thank you for taking it as an example. In our fandom, a lot of talented editors work so hard to do this kind of work for the community. Thank you for the video, is very useful, and now I know the basics about something that caught my attention! tysm
Thank you so much! I’m a musician, and I love learning about design. Your channel is so informative that I feel like I don’t even need to go to university! 😅
I DON'T JUST LIKE THIS, I LOVE LOVE THIS AND IT'S HELPING ME A LOT AS A BEGINNER. THANKS A LOT SIR! I don't just like this, I love love this and it's helping me a lot as a Beginner. Thanks a lot Sir!😀👍✌
My friend recommends this channel. The video was really helpful and you got a new subscriber. I have a request, Tom can you plz make a video on a modern type poster design from designing a concept to choosing elements and all the things so we can go and understand in more depth like the resistance poster you showed us in this video. I don't know i this comment matters to you or not but plz accept this request just once. Thanks!
I took screenshot and made notes on the principle of design used on each poster. Thanks a lot for the video. As a begginer designer would you please suggest sources for inspiration other than Pinterest and Behance for posters and website design.
Great to see people serious about design. Literally just have a few searches on Pinterest like 'modern graphic design' and you will go on a journey by clicking things
Satori: Behold the majestic, analytical thinking of a professional desiner! 😎 The designer: Hmmm.... what if I put this image here and text there..... yay, it suddenly looks nice! 🥳 I love this :D. Either way, whether they did think about it the way you say, or didn't, doesn't really matter. Now we know why it works better this way and can learn from it :-)
As a Creative Director that works for many major international companies I have to say I actually think the Inky branding is terrible. The lasting thing you want to associate with tattooing is a smudgy look as shown in the font and icons.
Thank you for this video. You explained in a clear and direct way design details which may be complex to decode if you're a beginner as I am. May I ask you where did you find the image on the left side of the thumbnail. The yellow tape one with the guy on the container It's stunning to me, I would like to print it as a poster. Thank you!
When you do a design for digital use, how do you find a balance that works for different devices that the audience may be viewing on? I design on a desktop, but a good amount of people will be viewing on a laptop or mobile devices. The difference on my iPad or Android phone are jarring. Thanks 😊
in the principle 2 section where u changed the the website innterface and put an image there so..the top right corner with ctas login and sign up gets lost in the image maybe we can make them stand out too
The design used as a example has been seen everywhere, there is nothing unique about it. Even though the 'rookie' design in the thumb lacks in some of the design principles it is more interesting and attracts the eyes.
"Resitance head" is too much on the left side, actually much too much. Head is looking in to the "small space" of the design, that feels awkward... actually a photographic rule that should also be respected in design. Give room (white space) in the direction the head, car, horse, people are looking. My view only?
Social media desperately wants you to believe that your graphic design career will be an endless string of trendy RGB posters with 2 words and zero logos at $10,000 bucks a pop. lol.

regarding the principle number 3 "repetition". isn't also like coming up with a main key visual so the rest of the designer use it for other artwork?
Great ❤
cheers
Great video as usual
who made that poster in the first principle? the one in the right in the thumbnail
Top quality content 🤩
