In 1998 my 14 year old son saw a commercial for the Lamb of God and asked permission to order it. The missionaries came and to make a very long interesting story short, my husband, myself and our two boys, (after we were taught the restoration by President Ronald Rasband )and the missionaries gave the lessons were all baptized. I’m the only one left in the true Church and I believe in Jesus Christ because the Spirit told me Joseph Smith was real and that Jesus would help me come back to him! You must believe in Christ for all the right reasons! Thanks Brothers Wilcox!

I just read in Brother Wilcox’s book that he changed his prepared talk at the last minute to talk about why we believe in Christ!! He found out later that 4 missionaries had been fasting and praying to know the answer to a question that one of their missionaries had, the question was “why do we even believe in Christ?” How amazing is this? #thischurchistrue :)

My friends good afternoon thank you i feel the same way as you are feeling right now. Without a real relationship with Jesus we all feel hopeless... that is why we Need Jesus not Joseph Smith...
I was raised in the church I went on a mission for the church I served in the bishopric elders quorum and different leadership positions in the church I have read the book of Mormon and I have found it to be absolutely inconsistent with the true word of God the Bible.
Here are a couple of historical facts in the actual church history of the LDS church you may want to research::
      1) Joseph Smith marrying girls under the age of 15 example: Fanny Alger (God forbids such abuse)
      2) Joseph Smith sending men on missions then while they are gone marrying their wives committing polyandry (Against Gods Will)
      3) Brigham Young teaching the theory of Adam is God our father that is false and not taught in the Bible (False Doctrine)
      4) Joseph Smith was a 33rd° Mason and he stole the Freemason temple ceremony and implemented it in the LDS temple ceremony
      5) True Christianity never fell from the earth Matt 16:17-19 Joseph Smith lied that the gospel needed to be restored it never left
These are just a few of hundreds of historical examples that disproves the divinity of the profits of the church there is only one way to heaven as it says in John chapter 14 verse six Jesus is the way and the truth and the life no man following a false religion will enter the kingdom of heaven
      Look up www.CESletters.org or com
Love you and Jesus does to, He wants you to feel his peace and he wants your family to feel that same piece the celestial kingdom is a man-made false reality as soon as you can put off yourself and your pride humble yourself and follow Jesus and accept Him into your heart you too will enter the kingdom of heaven along with your wife and family guaranteed

    God is love.
We all fall short and sin.
    Love is just and merciful.
Because God is loving He must judge sin, we all stand judged and are due to face His wrath as slaves of sin.
Because God is merciful He provided a way out from under the weight of the law and His wrath and a way for us to be regenerated.
If we trust Jesus shed His sinless blood, died and rose from the grave He forgives us of our sins and gives us a new heart that wants to look God as our Father genuinely and delight in Him, freeing us from being slaves to sin.
The rest is our mind catching up with that reality and taking hold of His teaching and truth until He returns, or we die.
We aren't saved or kept saved by obedience, intentions to submit to Jesus. We can only be lost through unbelief (trusting in our own righteousness, to be or remain saved) or blasphemy of the Holy Spirit (attributing clear works of God, healing/deliverance, to demons and Satan).

Brad, in your talk you say that the Bible isn't written by God, but interpreted by Peter, James, John, etc. In reference to that statement, I give you 2 Peter 1: 16-21 "For we did not follow cleverly devised tales when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of His majesty. For when He received honor and glory from God the Father, such an utterance as this was made to Him by the Majestic Glory, “This is My beloved Son with whom I am well-pleased”- and we ourselves heard this utterance made from heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain. So we have the prophetic word made more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts. But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God."
And in reference to following Christ because Joseph Smith saw him, I give you Revelation 22:18-19 "I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues which are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the tree of life and from the holy city, which are written in this book." The Bible is it. It is all we need. We do not only not need an additional Book...of Mormon, we shouldn't be daring to think that he, Joseph, had a prophetic message from God when God basically said, "it is finished".

@Heidi Reis, you are correct. The Book of Mormon does not have all of our doctrines in it, but it has the foundation of it. We believe that God has given us Prophets and Apostles today, just as in days of old. In this way, God is able to give us more instruction, and this is why we have Temples, organized meeting houses, and worldwide missionary work to name a few. The Articles of Faith 8&9 read:
8 We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.
9 We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.
      Have a blessed day Heidi!

    • @gambent6853
      @gambent6853 7 років тому

@Heidi Reis I am sorry that you think I was using double talk or bait and switch. I felt that I was quite open, straightforward and honest in my comment to you. Perhaps I can simplify it more.
We believe that God has always called prophets as His mouth piece on the earth (Amos 3:7). We believe that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God, and that through the power of God, translated the Book of Mormon, and restored the Church of Jesus Christ on the earth today. We believe that since then, there has been a Prophet on the earth that continues do the will of Jesus Christ. Our doctrines come from the prophets, and our prophets are given to us by Jesus Christ.
To summarize, we have the Bible and the Book of Mormon, which contains the words of the prophets of old. Also, we have modern day revelation and scripture, such as the Doctrine and Covenants, that we believe God has given us, and will continue to give us to prepare us for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
I am sorry that you have such a negative view of the Church, and that you thought I was being deceptive in any way. I was only trying to share with you my understanding of what I believe is true. Take care and God bless.

This is a misunderstanding of God’s triune nature, as it conflates the Father and the Son. The Father sent the Son (John 7:33), the Son accomplished the Father’s will (John 17:4), and the Son died for sinners (Romans 5:8). The Father did not die; the Son laid down His life as a satisfaction for sin (1 John 4:10).
God’s requirement that a sacrifice is necessary to atone for sin is not a rule that He simply “made up.” God’s Law is not something that He arbitrarily created; the Law is an extension of His holy nature. God did not invent morality; He revealed Himself to us, and that revelation of His person is what morality is.
When God said, “The wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23), He was not concocting a rule or imposing a new punishment on us; rather, He was revealing to us an unalterable, eternal reality-if you depart from the Sustainer of life, then you logically cut yourself off from the possibility of a continued existence. Those who reject Life only have one other option, and that is Death.
Saying that God made the “rules” by which sin is atoned for is somewhat like saying that Isaac Newton wrote the law of gravity. Newton described the effects and nature of gravity, but the law of gravity preceded and transcended his description. In similar fashion, the Bible describes the nature of sin and righteousness, but the universal laws concerning sin and righteousness, death and life, and justice and mercy precede and transcend the writing. God’s laws flow eternally from the nature of God Himself.

That's what that huge number of 90,000 comes from. B please know that the truth of what he's saying only comes if you have the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit or the Spirit of Christ with you.
It comes by many names but it always is a gift. Without it we can only see nonsense or fantasy in place of truth. So if his talk seems silly or based on nothing at all it's because you don't have that Spirit. You can have it if you'd like to have it. Jesus is 100% God and 100% man. As a man, Jesus ate, thirsted, slept, wept, prayed to God and died.
As God, Jesus rebuked Satan, forgave sin, performed miracles, accepted worship from the people, raised the dead and even raised himself from the dead. John 2:19

that could bring justification and life to all men. All Christ is asking with open arms is for you to lay down your religiosity and works
at the foot of the cross and allow Christ to take it.
      Salvation is quite simple.
Luke 18 And He also told this parable to some people who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and viewed others with contempt:
10 “Two men went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.
11 The Pharisee stood and was praying this to himself: ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other people: swindlers, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector.
12 I fast twice a week; I pay tithes of all that I get.’
13 But the tax collector, standing some distance away, was even unwilling to lift up his eyes to heaven, but was beating his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, the sinner!’
14 I tell you, this man went to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

Mormons do not believe in Jesus Christ.
Let me qualify that statement, the Mormon church teaches a very different low and weak Jesus compared with the Jesus revealed in the Holy Bible.
The Truth about the Messiah is only found in the pages of the Bible.
John 8:36 says it beautifuly ' And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free', Jesus is the truth.
Mormon Doctrine teaches that 'certain sins place a man beyond the reach of the atoning blood of Christ.'
(Mormon doctrine by Bruce R Mc Conkie P.93).
Church founder Joseph Smith taught that certain sins 'place the transgessors beyond the power of the atonement of Christ,'....... 'this is scriptural doctrine and is taught in all the standard works of the church '.
(Doctrines of salvation,😮 Joseph F. Smith Vol 1,P.135)
This is certainly not taught in God's word the Holy Bible.
The Bible says that the blood of Christ of Jesus Christ cleanseth us from all sin, (see Romans 5:8-9, 1John 1:7-10 etc).
The Bible also teaches that Jesus Christ is God's only Son, (John 3:16) not 'a' son.
In so many ways the faith Joseph Smith established dishonours the Lord Jesus and denies the full saving power of his blood shed on calvary for the remission of the sin of the world, all sin.
All this while claiming to be the church of Jesus Christ.
Hebrews Ch 1 is a great testimony of who Jesus Christ is and his power.
    Kind regards to all.

Muslims believe Jesus (Isa) to be a messenger of God, not the son of God. Christianity and Islam have different scriptures, with Christianity using the Bible and Islam using the Quran, though Muslims believe that both the Quran and the Christian Gospel, termed Injeel, were sent by God.
Jesus wasn't killed, God used one of Jesus' enemies as a substitute and raised Jesus to heaven, promising to send him back to Earth.
Jesus also mentioned that another prophet will come, and that is Muhammad (peace be upon him) who came with the Qur'an which was promised to never be distorted.
And the Qur'an holds many signs to it's accuracy, including ones that have been recently proven by science.
For instance, the Qur'an which was verbally revealed from God to Muhammad through the angel Gabriel gradually over a period of approximately 23 years, beginning on 22 December 609 CE, when Muhammad was 40, and concluding in 632 CE, the year of his death.
And some of the verses state scientific revelations such as the fact that the Earth is the shape of an ostritch egg, it mentions the big bang theory, the expansion and the end of the universe, bees having more than one stomach, how fold mountains project pegs into the Earth and much much more all which have been or are yet to be proven by science.
