I feel as if Brother Wilcox was talking about me. I myself had problem with porn, and everytime I relapsed I hated myself to the point where I had severe depression and thought of the darkest thoughts in my life. I've thought to myself that I had no future, if I can't even get over the lustful video and photos then how would I live my life righteously. I've hated myself, and wanted to just stop living. I thought god hated me and felt SO unworthy that I thought he probably didn't want to hear me and I prevented myself from praying. BUT THIS TALK! gave me the entire insight behind what I was going through and how my Lord thought of me truly. I've watched this talk for about 10th time and still tear up. Thank you so much Brother Wilcox, you have saved my soul from the dark.

Thank you for sharing your feelings! No one is perfect, we all fall short. You are worthy of love and belonging, no matter what you have done or where you have been. We’re never beyond the help of Jesus Christ and His Atonement. This article may provide some good information and encouragement: www.churchofjesuschrist.org/addressing-pornography/why-do-i-feel-so-bad-about-myself?lang=eng. Take care!

Dear friend! You are not alone in those feelings. I love how much Heavenly Father loves and understand us to send messengers to provide love and clarity of his doctrine and thoughts.
I think part of the plan of the adversary is to temp us to sin not only that we are not clean but specially to makes us have those terrible feelings he himself experience. His misery loves company.
But God and our Savior know that and are always there for us. They know that we have those feelings because we want to do good and be good. They don’t judge us harshly but offer love, charity and companionship as we strive to walk in the path and pick us up when we fall. ❤️ I love my Savior. I am glad this message lifted up your heart ❤️

Don't give up! Christ has his arms wide open to help you walk through this life. Our testimonies are under construction, and miracles are real through the grace and atonement of Jesus Christ! Like Elder Wilcox says, repentance is a process. Reach out to your family and church leaders for support. God loves you!

He is a great man, this is an amazing speech Ive watched it over and over as it speaks so much to me, having spent 2 months living with him in Spain after my twin brother passed, his warm welcoming heart, he and his wife basically saved my life, and brought a lot of peace to my family, I have all of his books on audio and some in physical form, he will always be a part of my heart for what him and his wife helped me through, he is truly a man of our Lord

I used to have a porn addiction and it was not healthy at all and even to this day I still get the temptations everyday to start the cycle but I try to remain strong everyday and to say no to Satin so that my mind is cleaner I don't stair at a woman's chest as much any more and I am thankful for the blessing of repentance and recovery. I hope more people see this talk because it relates to me so much with all that. For everyone reading this I wish you a wonderful day or night and that you can be blessed in your daily life.

He was my mission president in Chile, and I was a shy kid with not much confidence. He helped me change that. The man would give the biggest hugs and he would make you feel like you were the most important person in his life right then. Truly changed my life, and I always knew he'd be able to reach more people with his message of repentance and hope some day. How lucky we are that he gave this talk, and will be able to directly help members and youth now. "Hoy, en viente anos, y para siempre jamas!"

We are in extremely challenging times. 2020 was the most difficult year of my life and I just turned 45. Depression and anxiety are very tricky because they can be a chemical imbalance, environment but most of all the adversary putting thoughts of doubt and unworthiness in our heads that are not true. Thank you for sharing your story and may God continue to be with you.
I have a little motto that helps me.
I am, an attitude of gratitude with a positive perspective doing the next right thing and giving all the glory to God.
I am far from perfect and have struggled with addiction for most of my life but thanks to you the holy Ghost and the atonement I have been able to free myself from so many painful decisions and actions I've made in the past. I need to remind myself each Sunday when I take the sacrament that those mistakes are forgiven. I hope this helps and may God be with you. 🙏

This one, in combination with brother Wilcox’s other talk, is so amazing at helping us see the core mechanics of Christ’s atonement. I thought it was interesting how he compared getting spiritual power and grace by making and keeping covenants to driving a car. That same fuel is needed during the whole journey: we ourselves cannot make the car move on our own the whole distance. Only Christ can provide that fuel, that grace. We choose where we go in our lives however, sometimes going down the wrong paths. Recognizing our mistakes, striving for change - repentance - means redirecting our course and returning to the journey that will enable us to reach our ultimate destination.
