I don't care what anyone says this is an iconic 90s song
Even the Brits Agree. 😃
Well, anyone who doesn't agree with that is braindead.
💯
All time iconic
The whole album is iconic. My favorites are Morphine And Chocolate, and Mr. President.
This song was a one hit wonder for 4 Non Blondes, but the singer Linda Perry has gone on to be a hugely successful song writer, and written songs for Pink, Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani, and more. Tasha, she probably wrote a lot of songs you love.
She was inducted into the songwriters hall of fame in 2015.
True a one hit, but the whole album is actually pretty good. I mean they definitely had a song writer
And God bless her for that, we're all beneficiaries.
And a better voice than all those ladies, too bad she didn’t sing them herself.
I always liked that song, her vocals were awesome. The he-man parody was hilarious.
Dude couldn’t take it seriously after thinking about HeMan…😂
I said the same thing. He couldn't think of anything else but He-Man the entire time.
Unfortunately He-man got him first. So he can't enjoy the original song
T you are the first person i know of that doesn't like this song.
Lol, really?
She's a great singer, they have much better songs than this one. I don't rely care for it either
Same. First person I've seen not like this song.
Being a teenager in the 90s was a whole other world lol. Listened to this a lot then and now❤
This young lady here is so perceptive. She really listens and instantly homes in on the meaning of the lyrics.
Sasha,I agree with you actually I'm listening to music over 60 yrs I rate her as one of having the greatest vocals ever. Everyone digs what they dig. Linda Perry is a great songwriter wrote for Pink and others. I love the song!
As a musician this is one of those songs that, at first listen on the radio, I knew would be a hit. Great acoustic guitar and KILLER vocals. Tee is in a small minority opinion on this one. Having said that personal taste is a freedom :).
Still grinning watching your split decision on this one. I liked the song. It was overplayed on the radio. (Aren’t all good songs at some point?). A point to each of you. 😀
The lead singer, Linda Perry, is a gifted vocalist, lyricist and music producer. In 1996 she released a solo CD called In Flight and I was evidently one of the few that bought it. Music critics liked it better than sales indicated and I side with the music critics on this one. Per Wikipedia she was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2015.
Mythic 90 s song..... all people from that period knows it 🎉
Us gen xers would just like to tell everyone....you're welcome for our music.
Oh nice!!! Love this song. It’s been a long time!!
That is a great song her vocals are spot on
Her vocals were outstanding in this.
Wow, liked HeMan but not 4 Non Blondes? That song rocks, that’s the first time I have ever heard someone say they didn’t like it
And more great tunes on that album!
I don’t like this song…
@@tiffanytosh1569 you're weird...
I fell in love with this song the first time I heard it! And after 100+ Times of hearing it, I STILL Love it!!!!!
Awesome song!! Unique and one of my favorites
I saw this band open for Aerosmith in 1993. I knew this song and that was it, but they blew the roof off of the Charlotte Coliseum. Definitely had the crowd warmed up for the main act.
I sing this at the top of my lungs every time I hear it. 😁
Out of respect for Marvin Gaye, they didn't call it What's Goin On. That's why it's What's Up.
Never knew that! Thanks, man!
Linda Perry's voice is amazing. So much power.
Vocals and lyrics are amazing!
I'm with you, Tasha👍
I enjoyed this song. She is awesome!
Too bad you didn't get the total mastery of this performance. To each their own I guess.
She's Sara Gilbert's wife. The song was a footnote in the early 90's. It actually became more popular over time then it was at the time.
What!?! I f@ing love learning shit on youtube!!
Linda Perry is one of the best songwriter out there. She written big songs for many artists
I still get up occasionally in the morning, step outside & scream from the top of my lungs "whats goin on", just makes you feel good {good thing I live in the sticks in Georgia - GO DAWGS GO BRAVES} ✌💖☮
I’ve come to like this song more and more over the years. The vocalists dose have a heck of a voice. I’m a 70s- 80s drummer that thought it was a bit too silly when it came out but it’s growing on me. Haha
If you were of age during the 90s you would have heared this song everywhere on the radio and in the clubs. Still a great song
I ran a karaoke show for many years and when this song came out it was super popular and many people loved to sing it.
I don’t even want to see the He Man clip
This song... this f'n song... timeless. A genuine classic.
Linda Perry has an awesome voice and shes and incredible song writer...
Classic song and meme lol
This song is especially relevant with culture and this Biden administration! "What's going on"?
I honestly don't know why he didn't like this song. 🤷🏼♀️ This song is iconic and timeless!
An all time great song
Great song. Chick song, but great tune!
I am a Heavy Metal fan but this is awesome! How can you not love this woman’s talent?
4 Non Blondes frontwoman Linda Perry said when she wrote this song "It's like why does it always seem like either I'm struggling or there's some f--king political mess happening? Why is this all happening in the world?"
This is what comes to my mind too when I listen to it and it's so relevant especially now. The song was influenced by the political climate of the time when George H. W. Bush was president but she left out all political references leaving it to stand on its own to give it staying power and let it be a song everyone can relate to and feel that connection to humanity.
A really profound and beautiful song. We all should be continually asking what is going on in this world because we all know it's not right. Thanks for reacting to this song ❤
I loved this song as a 10 year old in the 90s and still do as a 42 year old man .
Smoke something beforehand to get the full effect.
Wow that took me back!! Haven't heard this song in years!! Love it, thanks for the great reaction!!
im with you its a great song! i did like the Heman version though
Great reaction. Men just don’t get this one!
I like the song, I remember when it came out I was literally thinking and saying, "what's up?" With this song? Everyone seems to love it. Back when I was going to kareoke alot,it was still kinda popular. Linda Perry is a very talented song writer and producer she's worked with many other artists. This song has kind of a anthem feel to it, I think.
Finally a reactor that doesn't like a song and says it. Ty
This song is great, don’t worry about the haters.
Ohmigod this was so much fun. Tasha was lovin it and T, your expressions were priceless brother.
This was a massive hit, btw.
Let's just go listen to some fuckin righteous metal, man. Like God intended us to.
I never saw the he-man version.
thats not her brother
@drobichaud1000 I was calling T brother, not suggesting he is Tasha's brother.
I've actually been a close follower of this channel for a long time.
I can't hang with anyone that doesn't like this song. 😅
Linda Perry is now the top song writers and producers going.
Bruh you Bogus! Classic tune
She stills wears ridiculous hats to this day so people will recognize her.
It's her business. She doesn't need a hat that's a ridiculous comment. Her voice is everything one of the greatest I heard in my 60 yrs of listening to music
@@amb6899 No, THAT is a ridiculous comment.
Her smile is soooooo beautiful!
I vividly remember hearing this for the first time at a bar in Zimbabwe, her vocals blew me away. This song and All That She Wants seemed to on a constant loop in the two years I was over there.
I am with you Tasha-all the way.
go live!!!! chillin time
You could be the first person I ever heard that didn't like this song. And I heard this song from the day was released.
Linda Perry can sing almost anything. She had Zepplin cover band. Look up Linda Perry zepplin, or 4 non blondes Misty Mountain Hop. You will be amazed.
I love the way you address music...extremely open-minded
Mister got no taste in music man...lol
Lol
Her voice might be the best...listen to more of the album!!
Noone ever knows name of band or song and they "first time" react and then chorus hits and OOOOOOOOOOOH. She says "I have heard the chorus. UMMM. who hasn't. lol. nearly the entire world has. 1 Billion + views, I think that gives a picture of the extent this song is known.
Tasha is very insightful! IMO, the song was about women trying to break-out in the music industry which at the time was dominated by men.
Outstanding song ! Outstanding vocal range ! Linda Perry wrote this song, what's an incredible melody. She has the 1969 Woodstock look with a refined Joplinesque clear voice style. Love the goggles on the top hat look.
You RUINED this song for me. Absolutely ruined it. I watched the He Man version and i cant listen to this anymore with out busting up laughing.
The vocals are definitely amazing! How can you not hear that? The inflections and passion and lyrics are top notch. I think the He-man thing got in your head and ruined it...
Fun Fact:
Singer, Linda Perry was married to Sara Gilbert. The woman who played Darlene on Roseanne, and Leslie Winkle on Big Bang Theory
In my day, it was cheesy, commercial, overplayed, and all of that. But still can't bring myself to hate it. It still brings me back to that time. People might disagree, but was it actually that bad?... Maybe overdone, but it's how things were done then.
Gotta listen to, fill me up, mr. Spaceman, can't get you outta my mind, and in my dreams. All awesome.
She's married to Sara Gilbert , she had Christine Agulara and pink living with her. That was a weird relationship thing that went bad, then she started writing some crazy break up songs like, it fn hurts. I can't get you out of my mind.
Hi, y'all. Love your reactions, as usual. You might like to try, "For the Turnstiles" by Neil Young. Best of the best to you.
I love this song! I don’t get your husband’s reaction at all!! It’s so powerful! It’s almost insulting
bro PROPS for first mentioning the he-man parody. This song rules but you nailed it, that's what first comes to mind.
This is a little embarrassing, but I always thought the singer was a guy with really good pipes like Geddy Lee, Geoff Tate, Robin Zander ish.
I had only heard them on radio so I had no idea who they were.
It's better to know she's a hot broad.😍
I like the song, but let's be real. 4 Non Blondes is a poor man's Concrete Blonde. I hear Linda Perry is doing great things now, so I'll check that out, but as far as this band goes (and I have the album, so I've heard the whole thing), all I can say is meh.
In my experience women/girls always love this song and guys don't. I'm not surprised by this reaction.
Absolutely great song!!!
Need another Winery Dogs reaction....🤷♂️
Who hasn't felt at least once in their life that "I'm screaming from the top of my lungs what's going on"?
My daughter introduced me to this song love it!
You're the first reaction channel I've seen make the connection from this song to the He-Man meme.
But this song is more relevant today than ever. Not a day goes by that I don't think, "What the hell is going on?"
I know this song is hugely popular but for me, it’s like nails on a chalkboard. I immediately hit skip if it comes on whatever station I am streaming.
The entire album is great. No one ever reacts to any of the other songs.
🤣🤣 your intro!! Imo, this nothing short of a freaking anthem!! ❤️❤️✌️
She should do music reactions by herself. He should to cartoon reactions.
That cartoon is ridiculous- I’ll never get that 45 seconds back 😢
1:58 The best performence ever. I'm waiting for full cover ❤😆
He Man version...🤣
Lol my wife said I ruined the video. I beg to differ.
My guy was literally trying not to laugh the whole time cause he had the He Man version stuck in his head 😂😂😂😂😂
Liked the fact that you enjoyed the song but would have preferred a more thoughtful response to the lyrics. You missed out, but had a good time .
My friend Nicole does a cover of this song on karaokee night and she sings this song way better than the original person
i AGREE. Too much bimbo angst on overkill.
I wanted a reaction to this classic song and got a massive diversion to He Man era... left at 2:00. sad.
Of course it's a feminist song and the lyrics is ahead of the time when it was released on the 80's. Great song and great vocals.
I liked this song when I was a teenager. Greetings from Finland.
This song was very popular back in the day.
I appreciate the message, but the vocals are as astrocious today, as they were way back when.
Women love this song and we know what she means. A anthem for all women and he is the only man's reaction I have seen who didnt love it.
I love both versions. Only HeMan could come close to the original masterpiece 🤘😄🔥
this one is great but ita was overplayed in the 90s juts like deaspacito and marcarena
