Maddy, you have been such an inspiration to me. Heavenly Father has lead me to start headcovering full time out in public, as well as convicted me for how I dressed. The past two weeks I have only worn headcovers and modest attire. My flesh is constantly battling what I know I heard from the Lord and I feel so alone. God bless you sister!! You explained everything so well. All Christian women should aspire to be the same but in this world we are more influenced by the pagen women and want to look like them because we'll feel felt out or mocked or not accepted and we shouldn't be ashamed of that, we should be proud of how God wants for us. But months later i did it again but didn't bring changing clothes and everyone was so weird out by it, no one congratulated me, no one "hyped me up" and a remember a girl saying "it looks so weird seeing you wearing pants" and i got my periods that day and it was hurting so bad and the secretary asked if i wanted her to call my dad and I said no but she still did and i was sooo ashamed when he came and saw me like that but he didn't scold me about it surprisingly but told my mom and she didn't do anything too. But after that day, pants were absolutely gross to me. Even in gym class, i wore leggins under my shorts and long sleeves under my shirts. I felt so naked wearing leggings or pants in general which i never wore in my life (only the leggings when i was younger). To me that was God telling me that I don't need to be like the others, that I have a purpose, that I am different and that it's okay, that He approuves and I should be proud. All throughout my high school years, I dressed modesty and got shamed for it by other Christian girls to make it worse but it all it did was boost my ego and i was proud that people saw me differently because I know why i decided to follow what God intended for me. Thank you for this video sister. The more I see videos on genuine modesty, the more encouraging. It’s deeply saddening to see professing sisters with obvious immodest clothing like revealing, tight, leggings and so on. The church has conformed so much in this area. I’ve been studying and praying about going all dresses/skirts and head covering. As of right now I mostly wear dresses skirt but when pregnant or running quick errands I’ve worn large sweat pants and oversized sweater/flowy top. Keep speaking the truth ❤
I have so many testimonies to share. A long time ago I saw rapture in my dream. Jesus showed me in my dream to stop wearing pants and to wear long skirts as a lady. For the longest time I never knew wearing pants was a sin until recently (past year or so)
Wow, that’s powerful! Yes, I have grown up always wearing pants and seeing pretty much everyone wear pants so coming to the conviction not to wear them in public was a very hard pill to swallow. Fought it for a while and couldn’t wrap my brain around it so I researched and studied and prayed and this was the revelation I received ❤️

As an older, happily married man, when I first saw my wife , I was attracted to her beauty and modesty. There was such a mystery about her. Since she was a part of our Church's worship ensemble she was well known and respected. She was also a university professor. She was way above my league. That was 33 years ago. Thankfully the Lord eventually brought us together. Modesty takes into consideration who represent, and as a Christian, Who we belong to.
I have recently started wearing long skirts or pants with long shirts that cover my bottom and my 10 year old daughter wants to start dressing the same way. Unfortunately, it is very hard to find long skirts and dresses for girls. I may have to learn how to sew. What a world we live in 😢
It really is so hard to find full length clothing for girls! There are online stores where you can find them though, although they are not very cheap. Putting on a T-shirt underneath is a good trick too to make more revealing dresses modest. But you probably already know that lol. I’m going to link one online below that I just found on Google by searching “full length dresses for toddlers” (they have kid sizes too): www.milaandrose.com/collections/maxi-dresses
I know how to sew dresses because I was with the Mennonites for 5 years, and they taught me how to sew the cape dress that they wear. They gave me a pattern, and from there I sewed my dresses. I also make my mom's dresses, and my little sister's.
First time seeing your video sister. Ah yes i notice your head covering, it is good to preserve ancient christianity tradition. Orthodox christian still wore head cover in church, but not in social. Well, if Byzantine still among us, survive many wars, head covering christian women prob will be preserved, both in churches and social, well thats my opinion. You got a support from me sis👍
Very interesting and truthful. While I agree with everything said, and I do agree that pants are not the best option for women, there are ways for women to wear pants in modesty, you mentioned one of them yourself, just apply all the principles of Scripture regarding the topic, it works well. But, if we are seeking the most excellent way, certain pants would be the last option (or no option at all). We need more women who understand this. ✍🏾🙇🏾🙏🏾
Just to clarify, I think it’s okay for women to wear pants at home and underneath a full length skirt or dress in public. That’s why I titled my video specifically “How Christian Women Should Dress in Public.” (Not at home).
I really appreciate your research on this subject. Its definitely inspiring to me and helpful. Thank you Maddy for sharing truth based on what God is showing you.
Paul was voicing his opinion that is not necessarily the only right way. He also said being celebate is the ideal, but of course God said go forth and multiply, so marriage is best, not the lesser option. I'm all for dressing as modestly as is appropriate, and of course, women should dress like women, but women's pants are sometimes appropriate and are meant for women to wear only, actually being subtly styled differently than men's. Our cultural styles have changed much from the ancient days, but no you shouldn't wear bathing suits to church or tops that show the belly, but you don't have to wear a bag. Think of business attire, its attractive but not showing everything. Yes, you can have both. For me, I hate anything on my head, and I love comfortable sweat pants and loose fit sleeveless shirts due to the hot climate I live in. I will occasionally wear skirts, but its hard to find the ones I like these days...too tight and too short. I don't like the idea of my butt hanging out.
@@emonilee4787 that’s a great question! Biblically, we should still be fully covered. It’s just about wearing more lightweight and breathable material in summer, so cotton, linen and other fabrics like that, that aren’t thick. I know it sounds crazy but it’s actually cooler if you wear loose lightweight clothing in summer than exposing your skin (you don’t feel the sun beating down directly on you) and protects your skin from the sun!
Hi Maddy, I totally get this but I'm a rock climber and I go to the gym regularly - loose fitting clothes are not appropriate for these environments and make activity difficult, what do you think?
I understand, and this isn’t what I want to tell you but this is the verse that is coming to mind: In the same way, those of you who do not give up everything you have cannot be my disciples. Luke 14:33 I encourage you to pray about it and follow what the Lord tells you to do. There are many things we have to sacrifice for God, but He is always worth it. Matthew 13:44-46 The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and in his joy he went and sold all he had and bought that field. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant in search of fine pearls. When he found one very precious pearl, he went away and sold all he had and bought it.

👑 How Does Christ Make Us More Righteous Than A Pharisee? Christ died to fulfill the law, not to abolish it. He died to cover our sins in His blood & to circumcise our sin nature to keep us from sinning anymore. He imputes His righteousness upon us to mitigate us from sinning any longer, as long as we’re willing and obedient to His entire Word - He’ll help us out along the way through His grace & mercy. He didn’t die just so people could keep ordering Chinese pork takeout, God didn’t create us to eat pigs & He didn’t create them for us to eat either - from the beginning there was a distinction between clean & unclean animals God allowed for sacrifice & consumption. God & Jesus have never considered unclean animals food, nor did Paul - all of Paul’s doctrines reconcile to Christ but many people have misinterpreted his doctrines. (Peter’s sheet was talking about gentiles, Christ was talking about unwashed hands & Paul was talking about vegetarianism.) God did ratify a lot of the mosaic law through His covenant in Christ; including animal sacrifices, because Jesus is the last one true, eternal, spotless, lamb sacrifice & instead of circumcising our loins, he circumcises the sin nature out of us & He also converted all the temple service laws towards Christ, because the body of Christ is the third spiritual temple. It says in 1 John 2 & 3 that anyone who keeps breaking God’s commandments & laws are unrighteous. It says in the Bible all sin breaks one of God’s commandments or laws, anyone who keeps going against God’s creation & the way He made things to be, is unrighteous. Christ died to free us from the curse of the punishment under the law, to free us from not being able to resist breaking the law. We are supposed to be righteous law, abiding citizens in the government of the kingdom of God, through Christ’s righteousness. Jesus told us to be more righteous than the Pharisees, who provided no mercy and grace; Christ was the fulfillment of God’s mercy and grace, the Pharisees, however, were unforgiving and even added their traditions & oral laws on top of God‘s laws acting as the authority - even beyond or above God. God judges us by the heart, if we’re not truly trying to be righteous above God’s laws, He may judge us under the law, without any mercy or forgiveness. Today the church is more tolerant of sin than it has ever been. All sin, stems from the root of pride and going against the way God created things to be. God does not tolerate sin or unrighteousness but God provides grace and mercy through Christ for those who do repent or are trying to live a life of repentance by picking up their cross daily - those truly trying to understand God’s Word with godly remorse. God allows us to make righteous judgments by telling others to repent after we ourselves have repented, don’t confuse as being the judge, jury or executioner - that’s God’s job. If someone is living in sin, we must tell them to repent and if they do not listen, they should be kicked out of the church until they repent just as Paul stated about those living in adultery. Many people are tolerating others in the church willfully living in sin, justifying their behavior by preaching blind love & acceptance. After their sin has been exposed & called out, if & and when they repent - we should welcome them back in like the wayward son & not deny them like a Pharisee; this is how Christ intends us to be more righteous than the Pharisee’s. God and Jesus can* provide unlimited grace but that’s only contingent upon true intent, godly remorse & repentance. But we must not keep denying Him by grieving His Spirit of Truth, claiming things from God are from the devil, or trying to become like God or better than Him - a servant can never transcend His master, when it comes to Our Heavenly Father; but we can be like His Son! You have to understand that the spirit of lawlessness is against Christ, it is the spirit of the antichrist. God gifted us His Son, His Word & has sacrificed His key of Truth - when we copy Christ, we ourselves fit into the lock of God’s door, gaining unlimited access to The Father & His House by living like the way God & Christ always intended us to live.
KJV 1 Corinthians 11:15 But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering. Romans can do whatever they want The Lord Jesus said give ceasar what is ceasars and their full nun habit or exotic hijab is not a Christian or biblical gown for a woman. Cover up all you want but as long as you are modestly dressed and follow the teachings found in the bible, that is okay. Those that are not bald who cover their hair are misinterpreting the teaching of Paul. God bless
Really like your encouraging topic. Here's another We still should live by the _principles_ of the Torah: A woman will not wear man's clothing, nor will a man put on a woman's mantle; for whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh your God. (Deut 22:5 ) When you try to expound in Greek or Hebrew you should tread lightly. I mean be careful, because it is apparent that this is not your language. For example: שׁוֹק (shok) = thigh, lower leg, or sometimes refers to the whole leg. Here's an excerpt from Holladay's OT Hebrew Lexicon: the thigh, especially the lower part, and then, by extension, the leg in general. But I hope that you don't go over and above the Word. As many religious people have by adding to the Bible extra commands. And I don't know how you would go swimming with a swimsuit? This would seem prohibited by your understanding.
Males and females should all be wearing full robes. Women were more likely in those days to misuse their beauty, but that didn't mean that men weren't equally obligated, and in other writings men were addressed alone here and there. The matter of head coverings, to the Corinthians, if it is part of the hair length section, is actually Paul quoting the Corinthians who were influenced by Socrates and Plato, and says after quoting what they had written that the Churches of GOD have no such customs. Jewish men had always had long hair, and the Law of Moses never mentions veils or head coverings for women. But it was always the standard to avoid showing skin, wearing see-through garments, or wearing it shaped to the body or tight. And makeup was never blessed by GOD, but cosmetics to take care of skin was blessed. No holy man in ancient times knew what a female body looked like until seeing his wife naked, and no man knew what any other body looked like and thus bodies were not compared. A person's butt and chest and leg shape was known only to their spouse. Uncovering the body was seen as linked to sex, and the word for virgin meant one whose nakedness was still unknown. Male and female outer clothing was similar, thus pants were worn under robes by both genders in case the robe moved. Shirts are shrunken robes in the evolution of clothing. The law about not wearing another gender's clothing does not mean a style but something that has been owned and worn by one of the other sex. This commandment is with others about avoiding illicit intimacy with someone not your spouse, thus it means one cannot wear something of one of the opposite sex he or she is not married to, just as JESUS saying to look at a woman is adultery refers to all women but one's wife, and Job not singling out women in his mind doesn't include his own wife. Girls borrow a boyfriend's jacket to wear something with his hormones on it, and if he is not the one for her, then that is illicit intimacy, since her body absorbs those hormones. Pants were equally wrong for both genders once. It was Plato and Socrates that had a differing view that assigned illogical stereotypes and called them nature, thus their wrong idea of nature teaching against long hair that naturally grows long also leads to Men Wear Pants and Women Skirts nonsense, while Paul affirmed the Church's Teaching that trousers are an under garment for all and Robes, not skirts to be worn outwardly by all.
She is still under the law...and once again...I'll explain...if you were Jewish in the old Testament you were under the law, gentiles, were non jews, they were not under the law at all...Jesus came to abolish the old laws and covenants, when he died on the cross..the old laws were work based...and we are no longer under these old laws...we are saved by Grace through Faith...wearing makeup and jeans is not a sin...but these people are trying to guilt trip people...
yeah she has a strong spirit of religion and pharisee, it's cultist behavior. why not cover up the hands and face too while ure at it? wear a full on burka for all I care coz thats where this is going
@@gypsysoul279 there is no law about what women should wear in the Old Testament, rather there are illustrations of what is Biblically considered to be nakedness and there are instructions in the New Testament for how Christian women should dress which confirm what the Old Testament explains about Biblical modesty.

It really is so hard to find full length clothing for girls! There are online stores where you can find them though, although they are not very cheap. Putting on a T-shirt underneath is a good trick too to make more revealing dresses modest. But you probably already know that lol. I’m going to link one online below that I just found on Google by searching “full length dresses for toddlers” (they have kid sizes too):
www.milaandrose.com/collections/maxi-dresses
Thank you sir!
Thank you so much for this video sister!🤍
You’re welcome! ❤️
The best explanation about pants Thank You
Very interesting and truthful.
I think that a lot of us really need to meditate on what it means to adorn! Meditate on the word day and night and lean not to your own understanding
Great video! 😆 Thank you so much for making this! It truly clears up so much for me! ☺🤗❤
Aw you’re welcome! Glad I could help 😊

Do you think you could sometime make a video sharing your outfits or outfits you put together for inspiration?
Yes I plan on doing a video on that soon! ❤️

I have modest and non modest clothes so I combine them sometimes. I'm more aware also.
Is it a sin to use short sleeves ?, and should my skirts reach below knees or be ankle length ?
@Daniel.Roy.Bloomquist but wasn’t this specifically for the kings virgin daughters who wore this type of robe ?
The veil belongs to the Christian Church not islam. Good job sister.
What a weirdo. Modesty is modesty.

I have a question, I need tips of what is appropriate for the summer when it comes to modesty
Thank you clarifying that. :)
Hi Maddy, I totally get this but I'm a rock climber and I go to the gym regularly - loose fitting clothes are not appropriate for these environments and make activity difficult, what do you think?
I understand, and this isn’t what I want to tell you but this is the verse that is coming to mind:
In the same way, those of you who do not give up everything you have cannot be my disciples. Luke 14:33
I encourage you to pray about it and follow what the Lord tells you to do. There are many things we have to sacrifice for God, but He is always worth it.
Matthew 13:44-46
The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and in his joy he went and sold all he had and bought that field.
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant in search of fine pearls. When he found one very precious pearl, he went away and sold all he had and bought it.
Perhaps you should rethink your rock climbing and gym-frequenting.
that girl has oppressive jezebellic religious pharisee spirit. we are not under the law no more. continue with your passion for gym and climbing and stay away from these cults on youtube
Where do you shop for skirts and dresses that cover down to the ankles?
Recently I honestly have just been going to Goodwill. There’s not a lot of options, but it honestly makes shopping a lot easier lol.
(Peter’s sheet was talking about gentiles, Christ was talking about unwashed hands & Paul was talking about vegetarianism.)
God did ratify a lot of the mosaic law through His covenant in Christ; including animal sacrifices, because Jesus is the last one true, eternal, spotless, lamb sacrifice & instead of circumcising our loins, he circumcises the sin nature out of us & He also converted all the temple service laws towards Christ, because the body of Christ is the third spiritual temple.
What about the vision Simon Peter had in Acts 10?
@@hannah.in.kingston I tagged you in a community post.
The Bible has no mandate for all humans to wear clothes as opposed to being naked.
KJV 1 Corinthians 11:15
But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering. God bless
Agreed. There is a misunderstanding of scriptures.
So we don’t need head covering ?

Corintians 11:15 But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering. God bless
@@sofia754-n1r No, my friend! You don't need it.
Really like your encouraging topic. Here's another
We still should live by the _principles_ of the Torah:
A woman will not wear man's clothing, nor will a man put on a woman's mantle; for whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh your God. (Deut 22:5 )
When you try to expound in Greek or Hebrew you should tread lightly. I mean be careful, because it is apparent that this is not your language. For example:
שׁוֹק (shok) = thigh, lower leg, or sometimes refers to the whole leg.
When was the last time you wore pants in public, Maddy?
Wearing pants or makeup is NOT sin
It is immodest to do so in public.
@@gypsysoul279YAHusha did not come to abolish anything! You need to read you Bible and study to find yourself approved!
