Correct. Institutional churches are not Biblical either.
You're right.
Mike Winger is a paid pastor, therefore a HIRELING.
Thanks for sharing Maddy. I cover my head, sometimes full cover, sometimes not. After I lost a pregnancy recently, and going through a generally difficult time in my life, I stopped covering my head. When you mentioned the part about grief, it brought me some comfort because I was feeling very shameful at times for not covering my head during my time of grief. I'm still struggle to keep up the practice of veiling but I know it is something God is calling me too.
Maddy, what translation was that? Thanks! Bless you ;-)
An attempt to paraphrase 2Cor11 with as little ambiguity & equivocation as possible. “I praise you because you always remember me and follow the teachings that I have handed on to you. But I want you to understand that Christ is supreme over every man, the husband is supreme over his wife, and God is supreme over Christ. So a man who prays or proclaims God's message in public worship with his skull covered disgraces Christ. And any woman who prays or proclaims God's message in public worship with nothing on her skull disgraces her husband; there is no difference between her and a woman whose head hair has been shaved. If the woman does not cover her hair, she might as well shave clean her head hair. And since it is a shameful thing for a woman to shave clean her head hair or cut her hair like a man should, she should cover her skull cap. A man has no need to cover his skull cap, because he reflects the image and glory of God. But woman reflects the glory of man; for man was not created from woman, but woman from man. Nor was man created for woman's sake, but woman was created for man's sake. On account of the angels, then, a woman should have a covering over her skull cap to show that she is under her husband's authority. In our life in the Lord, however, woman is not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman. For as woman was made from man, in the same way man is born of woman; and it is God who brings everything into existence. Judge for yourselves whether it is proper for a woman to pray to God in public worship with nothing on her skull cap. Why, nature itself teaches you that long hair on a man is a disgrace, but on a woman it is a thing of beauty. Her long hair has been given her to serve as a sexually appealing hood for her husband. But if anyone wants to argue about it, all I have to say is that neither we nor the churches of God have any other custom in worship.” (1 Corinthians 11:2-16)
Sister, you're radiant with your covering on. I started covering about 3/4 years ago but it's been a very rocky road for me. I want to continue covering full time and I feel personally convicted to conceal all or most of my hair but it's been difficult to keep up. Thank you for sharing who you are because I need more support from women like you ❤️🙏🏻
May I ask the best place to find a head covering
@@kassideejohnson7473 I’ve gotten all mine on Amazon ❤️ you want to make sure to buy an under cap too! You can just search on Amazon or on Google “under cap” and “headscarf.” I hope that helps!
Just noticed a spiritual fruit 🍉 here might be wrong though
That chapter talks to wives and husbands
I have a question, I need tips of what is appropriate for the summer when it comes to modesty
@@emonilee4787 that’s a great question! Biblically, we should still be fully covered. It’s just about wearing more lightweight and breathable material in summer, so cotton, linen and other fabrics like that, that aren’t thick. I know it sounds crazy but it’s actually cooler if you wear loose lightweight clothing in summer than exposing your skin (you don’t feel the sun beating down directly on you) and protects your skin from the sun!
Thank you clarifying that. :)
Hi! 1 Cor 11 says to cover when praying or prophesying. Why do you believe it means to always cover? I’m genuinely asking because I would say we pray all the time but it seems you believe it says it’s for modesty. I’ve actually been thinking that the act of covering your head to pray or prophesy is a form of modesty because it is covering up man’s glory. I havent fully thought it through though. Other than the Old Testament scriptures referring to taking off a covering, is there any other reason? Thank you 😊
@@TiffanySmith-tv4hj yes I actually talk a lot about all of this in my veiling for modesty part 2 video which I’ll link below! But I talk in that video about when we should I cover our heads :) ua-cam.com/video/tD6YPJf2SEc/v-deo.htmlsi=L0nh0CE11A70FUAV
Do you have problems in society? Like are you been accept on work?
Is this not only during prophesy and praying?
I thought every hart/mouth that says and believes christ is kind is saved
My parents will disown me
Im depressed. I dont want to give up make-up, jewelry, pants and covering head. Im afraid if i age i feel not beautiful anymore. As a youngster it looks still beautiful. I feel i will never make it.
You’re an inspiration to many women believers including myself and i really appreciate the time and effort you given us in sharing your experience in how you set yourself apart from this world that is full of vanity and immortality. Much love to you my dear sister in the faith and may Ya Bless you in your walk with him. You have my support as i’ve even started covering my head not because someone told me but i was convicted to do so. Obedient is better than sacrifice HalleluYa!
That's so true. Imagine what would have happened to Israel history if king David couldn't have seen the nakedness of Bathsheba!
You are such a softly spoken, self aware woman with a lovely demeanour! I am agnostic but I find you so inspiring 🤗
Thank you my dear sister for your encouragement and for your prayer! 🙏❤😊🌹
You’re welcome ❤️
I'm about to drop my video also about make up . Like you even though I made the video a couple of weeks ago I have procrastinated. And I have a strong feeling that I need to put it up today. I normally don't wear it when I used to wear a lot so the Lord has brought me this far. But now he's been telling me to ditch it completely. I don't want to put up my video and then fall back to it and start being a hypocrite. But I also feel like it's way more important than we think. That it's idol worship like you said it's self idol worship. Also the worship of others. And if we're supposed to disown ourselves completely and die to self then it's something I think many Christian women come to realize is something beneficial. But before I put it up today I wanted to look at some more testimonials of other women and men who have been led by the Holy Spirit concerning this topic. Thank you for your testimony. I enjoyed hearing it. ❤🙏🙂 God bless you sister in Jesus mighty name!
God bless you too! Let me know when you upload it, I’d love to watch it!
@@MadddyKayy It's uploaded yesterday but isn't doing very well. It is rather long though and lots of scriptures. 😊 I've subscribed to your channel and praying for its success and it's reached to those who are in need of hearing it. Again God bless you! Have an awesome day! ❤️🌹
Thank you God and thank you sister for God was leading me to watch this video...listening with you and reading comments of your video brings me tears😥.. I was thinking I am alone with this burden of wearing headcovering... God wanted me to do this over and over... I was trying to justify but here He goes again giving me this video😭😢.. I will obey now Lord🙏... Such a little thing to disobey?... I'm sorry Lord🙏😢
In my absolutely secular country no woman - that is not a foreigner - wears head coverings. I recently began going to a congregation, that practice it during service. And so I'm educating myself about it. If it is biblical or a misunderstanding etc. But I happen to like it, actually. If it is honest. It has been that way forever, since I was a kid. Nuns or my grandmother, who was a nurse, wore these, elderly women. In contrast to the misguided life I lived, at my core I have always been extremely conservative and since I was born again, it shows again, more and more.
Wow, Maddy! 🤯 That is crazy that “you”, didn’t think you’re pretty without makeup; because honestly, you are absolutely beautiful!! Never doubt that! 😃💕🌺
That’s sweet, thank you :)
Thank you, Maddy, you have no idea how much this pertains to me, personally, I need prayer for this deeply and continually. It is rare for me to come across encouraging content by other serious christian women online. Bless your walk today and the coming days.
Amen, Also a covering sister here, so much freedom in not having to fit into the world's standards of beauty. Wish I would have known earlier In life. 🙏
This was a big topic for me coming out of nearly 10 years of legalistic fundamentalism where head coverings and having long hair were mandatory for the women of our church. After many years of prayer about these verses God was gracious and showed me that this teaching on long hair and head coverings has no parallel under the OT type and shadow of Christian doctrine. Sound Christian doctrine is found in the OT blueprint such as sacrificial lamb, baptisms and out of servitude into a place of liberty and provision. This answer to these verses while utterly thrilling and liberating left me with a major headache. If they are not to be acted upon why are they there. After a couple of weeks of prayer ( so quick ) I had a verse coming to me 1 Cor 7 1..... now concerning the things whereof you wrote unto me !!!!!!! NOW....concerning the things YOU WROTE UNTO ME...... Paul covered these things because the corinthians had written to him about them. And then at the end of his discourse on their questions he finishes with his statement .....nevertheless we have no such customs neither do the churches of God. 1 Cor 11 16 WOW!!!

Wow. Thank you for teaching, sharing, and confirming! God bless you, Sister.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I’ve been leaning towards head covering and having similar reservations. But it seems the Lord is making it more clear. Again, thank you. And God continue to bless you! Thank you for praying for me so effectively! Thank you, Jesus.
Thank you for the enɔouraging testimony.
The makeup/hair product industry is going to hate you Maddy 😮 “and he began to teach them: "Happy are those who know they are spiritually poor; the Kingdom of heaven belongs to them! "Happy are those who mourn; God will comfort them! "Happy are those who are humble; they will receive what God has promised! "Happy are those whose greatest desire is to do what God requires; God will satisfy them fully! "Happy are those who are merciful to others; God will be merciful to them! "Happy are the pure in heart; they will see God! "Happy are those who work for peace; God will call them his children! "Happy are those who are persecuted because they do what God requires; the Kingdom of heaven belongs to them! "Happy are you when people insult you and persecute you and tell all kinds of evil lies against you because you are my followers. Be happy and glad, for a great reward is kept for you in heaven. This is how the prophets who lived before you were persecuted.” (Matthew 5:2-12, GNB)
The word “Legalism” is a pejorative. We can make a pejorative of anything we don’t like even if it happens to be good for us.
This is exactly what The Lord did for me also. I was in prayer and I heard "Cover your hair." I immediately grabbed a scarf and put it over my hair to pray. I did that at home for a while, but then I forgot and stopped. A while later, again I was reminded in my spirit to cover my hair. I began to seek the Lord on this and read the scriptures concerning head coverings. The Holy Spirit also brought to my mind such verses as "Pray unceasingly" and "Be instant in prayer". My flesh panicked when I thought of covering at work. The Lord really was dealing with so many things in me including pride, modesty and so much more. When I finally decided to obey Him and cover my head always, then He showed me that my divorce and remarriage of 19 years was adultery. I was an adulteress and didn't even realize it!! He was able to lead me out of remarriage adultery and preserve me from changing my "jean" "et" "ics" with the swab and shot. I feel strongly it is because I was obedient in this "little" thing. May Jesus bless anyone who hears His words and obeys Him.
Thank you for this clarification. God bless you 🙏
There is a woman here on youtube who is going around spreading lies about this topic of Gods word. Her name is SoldierofJesus. I confronted her about it and she just doubled-down on her stance. She is a liar 😡 which is why i had to do research on what the truth was. Thanks for your efforts.
HalleluYah
HalleluYah ❤ What a good word, Thank you. I stopped wearing make up years before I started head covering, I couldn’t imagine going through that identity shift at the same time. But look at what that refinement produced in you! Thank you for sharing. Shalom, Stephanie
Please help, i want to start covering my head and really like how your veil looks. Can i ask what fabric it is please and if you wear an undercap
Yes I wear an under cap! And in this video I was wearing an “all season” headscarf that I got off Amazon. It’s made out of polyester. I hope that helps :)
Sister thank you for sharing. I have been convicted to dressing modestly for a few years and I had ran away from Gods word to me. I recently was convinced AGAIN and I threw out all of my leggings and reveling dresses. I have a beautiful collection of scarves and bandannas I loved to use to cover my hair. But now God has told me to cover my hair in public places and while praying. I have been off and on with covering for about a month now and I’m struggling spiritually. This gives me hope. I literally relate to everything you said. Thank you.
You’re welcome ❤️ We never grow in our comfort zones. As Christians we have to get comfortable with being uncomfortable. Easier said than done, that’s for sure! But I’m glad my story could relate to you ❤️

Maybe I missed some videos but what about facial and body hair and eyebrows?Could You do video on that?Thank you, sister, for caring for us, women.
@@re.d.3576 Not all forms of appearance alteration are sinful. It is not wrong to remove facial/body hair, clip nails, get braces or Invisalign, etc. The Greek word used for adorn in 1 Peter 3:3 is referring to ornaments/ decoration. Maybe I will do a short video about it in the future :) and you are so welcome! ❤️
@@MadddyKayy Thanks a lot I will be waiting:))and this is so good to hear actually that I can do it :))
She may need to be placed in a pillory and shorn, because if she is bold enough to refuse to cover, she will likely not cut her own hair either. The other option is to shun her.
Wonderful msg!!!
Thank you for this good word! Keep up the work you are doing for His Kingdom!
Hi Maddy, did you know there is a connection between the circumcision and hair, as well as the head covering. This comes from a new understandings about the female anatomy and I explain these connections in my community page. The anatomy understanding taken with Scripture makes a strong case for not only the head covering and modest dress, but for all of a female’s head hair to completely hidden from public site.
Can you please share the connection if you don’t mind thank you in advance. Ya Bless!
You're a gem Maddy. Please keep spreading God's ways
Maddy, this is my new favorite channel, thank you 🙏🏾 I’m just started covering my head, it makes me feel more obedient.
