  • Today we show you how we transport and store our #lectric ebikes. We purchased these bins at Lowes and modified them to fit our bike. These bins will work for the new lectric 3.0 since it has the exact same dimentions as per the lectric website.
    Now we can easily move our bikes and then fit them in our car.

    We refuse to grow up. We're 70 and you inspired us. We just purchased a couple of XP 3.0s believing they should fit in our 2019 CRV. You proved it works. GREAT and very informative video. Lowes just sold two more tubs! They need to give you folks a kickback for all the tub purchases you've inspired! Thanks again... very helpful.

      A kickback would be awesome😅 but it’s even better to hear we inspire people. Thanks for the kind words. Enjoy your bikes and ride safe!!

    This is great! As a single, late 50s woman, I wanted a folding bike for the purpose of being able to transport it. But didn’t realize how not only heavy they are, but bulky. This makes lifting them so much easier. Getting myself a container right now!

    When I first watched this, I thought you were a little obsessive to go to this much trouble. Just use them the way they are. Then I watched it again, and showed my wife. Now she’s on the way to get two of these totes and I’m going to do the same as you show here. This is pretty fantastic. Nice job…happy riding. #loveLectrics

      My thoughts were exactly the same but it is actually a very good solution. I am going to duplicate this or maybe a modified version if the tote will squeeze into the back of my F-150 crew cab with the seats up.

    That’s why alternative method to bring the heavy foldable step-through e-bikes to the car trunk like $700 Aipas A2 Elite and very similar equipped $1,000 Lectric XP 3.0 - is to get a car foldable dog ramp with the appropriate width of plastic container (22”/32” size) and just slide the foldable e-bike in the container easy to your trunk for transport or storage. No lifting at all even when sliding the foldable bike into the vertically-positioned plastic bin.

    Ok, I'm a mile from Home Depot. I used the Husky 45 gallon wheeled tote, almost identical. Works great, the frame fits down inside the tote like yours. I have the Lexada quick release pedals on my bike so it's a tad skinnier than the stock fold up pedals. And my rear derailleur guard was sticking out unnecessarily far so I banged that in a touch so it wasn't bulging out the side of the tote. The wheels are great, especially in the garage and on pavement. Much easier to get the tote in the front compartment of my fifth wheel. Thanks for showing us how to get er done!😎

    Excellent video!! I followed your directions nearly identically and the result was perfect. These tubs are decent quality. I used my jigsaw for all of the cutting and didn’t have any issues with the plastic cracking or splitting. I also put a few more zip ties on the corners and handle area so the lid will not separate anywhere. Thanks again! Our XP3.0s will now travel in style!

    Hey there, just finished watching your video on electric bicycles and I must say, it was really informative! As an avid e-bike user, I was thrilled to stumble upon a new crowdfunding project called Freebeat Morph 2-in-1 e-Bike. The fact that it can be charged indoors is a game-changer and something I've never seen before. The Morph e-Bike's brushless 750W motor and impressive torque definitely caught my attention. I'm excited to see how it performs on various terrains with its front suspension and puncture-resistant tires. The Smart Saddle Detection+ feature is also intriguing, combining fitness and technology seamlessly. Count me in for supporting this project! Can't wait to experience the Morph e-Bike firsthand.

    I saw another UA-cam video using a similar method of packing up a folding eBike.
    What they did to get the bin into the car was to use a dog ramp to slide the bin up into the car rather than have to lift it.
    The dog ramp slid open to twice its length, and one person could push the bin up the ramp and into the car.
    They said they got the dog ramp on Amazon...

    Thanks, nice video! We have 2 Rad Mini 2 folding bikes and use the same bins to transport them. To reduce the weight of the bikes, we remove the Batteries, this same around 8 Lbs per bike or 12%. At 72 years old this 8 Lbs seems like 20. As you pointed out this method keeps the Bikes dry and improves security. We plan on covering our so they can't be seen from the outside. BTW, we added our Bikes to our Insurance Co and registered them on the EBike Register Index!

    Helpful, thank you - we have a XP 1.0 and an Xp Lite, this is perfect for the 1.0. I like how it drops in there like that, much better than having the battery exposed to potentially being damaged like you said

    Thanks so much for sharing this! I am moving to an apartment and will no longer have a garage to store my folding Lectric bike. I'm looking to trade my Camry for a CRV or Rav4 so I can store the bike in the back of my car. The idea of placing it in a bin is fabulous! I would add that I am also looking at a folding portable ramp to get the bike in and out of the back instead of lifting it. The portable ramps weigh only 20 lbs and can be easily stored in the back with the bike. Btw, I'm a former NY'er (Syracuse). We NY'ers figure things out and get it done!!

    • @FullTimeDreamRV
      @FullTimeDreamRV  5 місяців тому

      That awesome, pet ramps are a great solution so you don’t have to lift the bike. One of the lucky NYers that made it out😅 Thanks for checking out the video.

    • @ElaineChandler
      @ElaineChandler 5 місяців тому

      @@FullTimeDreamRV Actually, I decided to get a folding wheelchair ramp instead. They also weigh about 20 lbs and are wider than the pet ramps. The pet ramps are a few inches too narrow for the 45-gallon bin.

      Some people will use a pet ramp to roll it up and then put ramp on top. It’s not bad with two people though.
