  • In this podcast I discuss my experience selling video games at the Video Game Summit in Illinois. The booth cost $40 and I brought $5000 worth of stuff. How did I do? I go over what sold and what didn't and what I plan to do with what's left.

Thanks for putting on a great show. I've been going since it was in that hotel banquet hall.

I would love to see a laser disc collection video

It's great to see that the market is not respecting limited run games while true retro, organic collectibles are staying strong. All the scalpers and people who buy LRG to keep sealed for easy profit are losing money. Greed is being punished which is fair and good for the hobby.

A laserdisk video would be interesting.

Oh man, I hear you big time about certain videos just being boring to make. I've even had some successful formats that I've abandoned because I just couldn't find motivation to keep making the same type of video.
Really interesting to hear about your convention experience. It does sound disappointing to only sell 17/73, but it really is a big unknown, and it sounds like some of what you took just wasn't suited to the clientele unfortunately.

Yeah I thought it would make for an interesting video plus I want to buy a new computer. It's a step in the right direction though

February 2021 I have no switch games end of 2022 14k later & now 300+ switch games that I’m probably never going to play…. 😂… Collecting for the shelf

@@casualwithnick was able to slim a lot of games and collectors editions down made most of if not all my money back. Some of if went back into the collection. But still sitting on over 300+ games/collectors editions. That just the switch. The ps4/5 are ridiculous as well.

Hey, thanks for the video. I’ll be selling at a convention for the first time in a couple weeks. You definitely gave me a few things to consider. Is your podcast available in an audio only format. I couldn’t find it on iTunes.

I have a ton of games I’ve never played. I work and don’t need to sell them atm, so in my collection they stay… For now. I still have VHS tapes from my childhood, but I don’t collect.

I recommend accepting zelle. I personally don't recommend buyer to used credit unless it they are going to keep for a long time
