One thing I really enjoy about this game is how seamless most of the vegetation that you can interact with is integrated into the world. In most other games, you'd have flashing bushes and berries all over the place. But here it just looks like you can pick anything up you want and have to find out what it is by doing it. Also, the fact that you need things like the stinging nettle, and that it looks like a normal plant while it is actually quite rare, really makes it so much more immersive. I love these little details that the developers put into this game.
I have been playing this game since the summer and really like it. Great to see you doing videos on it. I could really use a resource guide if you are working on it. I can never remember where anything is even when I have found it 1000 times. I think maybe I play too many games so can't keep them all straight. Great video!

Also rather than box my animals inside I opened up all walls of my barn except the back wall and erected a wall some distance away where my land ends connecting up with cliffs and such. My rabbits,sheep and chickens don’t wander very far from the barn and because there is no fencing blocking them from getting back inside the barn they are as happy as Larry lol my home is lvl 4 so home block is quite big.
Thank you for the video and the info on the cat. I tried for well over45 minutes to get that dang cat, but following your video it only took me 5 minutes or less. I’m old gamer and my hair is gray, but I swear it got a brighter shade of platinum trying to complete this quest. Thank you again. 🙂👍
Yeah I spent a good 45 minutes messing around before I figured out I was doing it just a little bit wrong. Glad I could help and that you were able to get the cat before your hair started to just fall right out.😅
i think the nettles got added with one of the updates as i scoured the reveal woods for everything there was to get before the first major update and it didn't exist. it also seems to be fairly rare as in my whole time running around up there the other day i only found two plants. luckily each one turns into 5 seedlings. now i have like 50 seedlings going.
Yeah I thought it might be new but didn't want to declare such a thing as fact, since I was not 100% on that. Yeah they are a very rare drop but they do make a good batch of seedlings.
I needed a wool, for crafting out of desperation, for the winter gears as it is a new biome and only just hunt for the yaks but little did I know how difficult it is to tame a yak? Well taming with 3 hearts, like the cat, is one thing but the biome's terrain is rough that you end up with standing automatically rather than approaching while crouched so you scare the gentle giants away...which my nerve couldn't stand and killed the damn thing...until a multiple tries...😅
OH NO! Yeah that sounds stressful. I will be trying my hand at them next. The dog was not too bad, but things kept creeping up on me. Did you finally get yourself a yak?
If all the needs are met the symbol will go away in time, the cat just has to find the food and that can take a few minutes for them. Even if the cat has no food though, you can still pet them and get the buff. They will not leave the base.
The thing i hate about farming animals in enshrouded is that reproduce very quick. Consuming the farming space, and I don't have any choice but to butchered them. The bird and goat reproduced very fast like a rabbit in real life...
I hate that I cannot keep my animals outside. Damn bees keep coming in and killing them :( wolves clip through the basic fence like you used in the video and kill them. I guess I have to build a 20ft high wall around my entire build area?
Oh no! I haven't build a wall around my base, but I do have them well in the middle of the area the flame alter allocates. I haven't had that problem yet...but I am a ways from the nearest wolf spawn. Please let me know how you work out to protect them, I would be very curious to hear your progress.
@@SilkenGames Y I have a tree with a beehive just outside my build area, animals are almost on the other side as well and bees still seem to make it over and kill them. Wolves span is pretty close as well and I cant figure out how they get through those fences but ill find them inside the pens I built.
@@jacobpope11 OH NO!! These kinds of fences do seem to not link up as seamlessly as the walls do. There seems to be an invisible gap that my baby animals slip through sometimes.
@@SilkenGamesI ended up making iron Prison gate. My home is the starting area, I had one wolf come when I had short wood fence and kill a bunch of my animals. Since I changed fencing no more deaths. But babies do get out every so often. The maid kept wanting to be with the animals so I made her a house with them and she is locked up inside the fencing. I even put animal beds inside her house.
My animals are kept pretty much central of my available lot so I never see anything wild near them. My problem is keeping them inside the area I have built. The goat goes straight through the fence and the bunnies just hop over it when they want. Maybe I shouldn't fence them in and trust they wont go far and return to the feed bowl? If it keeps up I might try that I guess.

one thing every turtorial has completely skipped, how do you make cat food?
Once you catch the cat the recipe will unlock. It's about the same stuff as in the bate, but next time I am in the game, I can check it for you.

Yeah I have discovered that one. I have also learned that you have to have extra beds to have them make babies. So lots still to take in yet.

When you put your cat down, the "No Cat Food Down" symbol came up, even though you did. Happens to me too. Any fix?
