I took my 07 to the mechanic and they charged me $225 to tell me the connection was loose and they have to order a new mounting piece for an extra $380 bc the piece was a lil broken. I took the car home, found your video, and fixed it on my own in under 25min. I can’t thank you enough! May your blessings multiply 😭😭✨✨🫂🫂🫂
Well you just got another subscriber in fixing to install new headlights on my daughters beetle funny thing the driver side light ended up missing I get a phone call “ um dad my head night is gone” what do mean I tell her “I’ll send u a picture” I was like wtf so I went ahead and ordered a new set and the holders too head lights came in today and the holders come in tomorrow. After seeing your video I’m not stressing no more. Thank you
Good job just had my headlights professionally installed they worked good for days or a couple weeks. Now I will try to use this video see if I can get my passenger light to stop being intermittent. If I ban the headlight a little on the bottom it starts working again but if it hits a bump it then stops working but intermittent on bumpy roads.
😊 Wish the title had the year of vehicle. Mine is a 2001 TDI and moving harnesses attach to headlight assembly. So this fixed connector mate to assembly doesn't exist. Now I appreciate the simpler and less problematic approach on mine! Anyway, sorting through videos is easier if the titles are more descriptive. Otherwise, great video.
thanks for the video - question, how challenging then does this make removing the headlight again? Before, the headlight would disconnect because the wire housing was clamped to the car - now that the wire housing is loose, it would seem that the headlight disconnect could prove troublesome. - thoughts?
Headlight related question: 2006 bug. I got installed both new headlights but they aim down, instead of straight. Need to have high beams on to be able to see straight. Is there a way to align the lights to make them aim straight? Can't find anything on Google search :(.
man i am going to try this on my daughter buggy she just got it and has the same thing parking lights work fuses are good but no lights, i will update tomorrow.
great video; wonderful German engineering!!! HA!!!! How about the headlight assembly not holding tight????? I finally put Gorilla clear tape on outside to hold unit in; looks like crap, but never a problem in past 3-4 years.
Have hids they say wiring harness is bad. That wont fix problem. Its all taped up but headlights use to work. All other lights work but not headlights. Bljnkers.hazard' parking n brake lights all work. Fine ty
You saved me from absolutely losing my mind putting my light in. Thank you so much!

What was the process of shining up the headlight lens? Products used?
Sand with 1000 grit then 2500 then buff. There a video of us doing it somewhere on our channel. Thanks for watching
Do you have to take the battery out to remove the drivers side headlight?
No should come out same as pass side slides out the front
the video i watch a while back had the guy just cut the bracket out to make sure nothing bound. use a razor blad to cut the plastic bracet.

No not really. Just Remove it and then just tie it back in if it ever has to come back out
Does anyone know what’s the thing called with the 3 red wires attached to the black box on the left side of the driver? What does it do?
Maybe you can send me a picture of or video.
How do you change alignment of the headlights
Should be on each unit.

My problem is more of a wiring problem the highbeam works its the low beam I replaced the bulb but the light doesn't work
Well could be the same problem. The plug might not be making a good connection
Saved the day. Thanks

You did not turn the 5mm stud back counter clockwise after putting the light in.
