Thank you so much for these series on the 1972 Beetle. As a relative new owner of a 1972 Super Beetle, it’s great having a resource for the one-off wiring for a ‘72. Having just reinstalled my engine after doing a top-end overhaul and new clutch, I’m going to be sorting out the wiring next.
Thanks Chris. I've been with ya since the Chevelle alt. time frame. Thanks for taking the time out of an already full day. Outstanding content, very helpful.
Low beam lights went out today, but high beam and sidelights still working. This video is gonna save me so much time troubleshooting. Thank you so much!
@@chriscraft77022 tested the relay with the multimeter and was all good, then found a loose connection in the wiring in the headlight cavity on one side and on the other side just a normal blown bulb. Couldn't see anything wrong with the filament but was showing 'open circuit' when I tested the resistance.
Thanks Chris ...very helpful information. How about a video on Alt/Gen not charging? Had orginal one rebuilt only to work temporarily & now I'm TOTALLY CONFUSED. You always make videos I can actually UNDERSTAND. Anyways Keep Up The Great Work 👍💯👍💯💪💪💪💪
mine was not charging at first.. I have to REV the engine up ( like the exciter wire isn’t working) but once I rev it up the fields excite and it charges
Thanks, Chris, For the hard work and dedication. This definitely was a Eye opener that we needed to see. And you made it very easy to understand. Now my brother, Denny Can you get a Good Night rest Thanks to you.😂🙏🏾.
So are you saying that 71 Super Beetle is wired differently and having a problem with my headlights everything works they work the first weekend and now they don't I change the bulbs they still don't check all the fuses and replaced all the fuses still though I got a new relay today but you're telling me that it's wired differently so I want to make sure it looks exactly like my 72 now I'm doubting it any insight
@@chriscraft77022 Awesome brother I am i vegas i get it love you no nonsense tutorials and i have applied some of it to my Chevelle build i should probably do a video and shout out on that now that i know your still kickin bro catch you when its cooler
Hello question I have a 1967 vw bug and I got new headlightswith the blinkers built inside the headlight. I can't get the blinkers to work and I think it's because there l.e.d. instead of bulb . Is there something I need to add to the blinkers to get then to turn on and work because hooking them straight up is not working.

it’s too hot at the shop right now… I’ve been getting everything for the Datsun and C30 ready to start making videos when it cools down over there.
