It’s interesting hearing Kiko talk about limiting to four notes as in a recent interview Paul Gilbert was talking about limiting to just one note! He was saying play one note until you can’t stand it anymore then go to a different one. Interesting to hear different variations of similar exercises.

17:46 modulation/key change was amazing ( listen at least 10 seconds prior to get the full feel). I wish there was an explanation for that transition.
Edit: Figured out part of it from listening to where part of the solo was straight forward. With the Dorian mode shape falling on A (and E clearly being Minor), this narrows the Em mode down from either Phrygian, Aeolian, Locrian & Dorian down to just E Aeolian. The hiccup is that even though the 5th (B) is supposed to be minor, it is played in a Major key as a chord. Only resolution for how it exists in this manner is the Harmonic Minor family....which explains the super friggin cool E minor against B Major inversions...friggin trippy lol. (sorry for the rant)

@@BetchaCantPlaythese I have gaps unfortunately and have to mentally piece it together. It sucks and is embarrassing. For example...finally figured out why a dom7 is what it is. I over think things and miss basics because I think everything has some super complicated relationship when it doesn't and miss the intention. Not being self-deprecating, but what luck I've had was from being as stubborn as a mule as opposed to being as sly as a fox. Wish it was reversed LoL.
@@LegionDe75 It's all related to intervals. If you can see intervals spread on the fretboard, dom7 or 11th or 13th chord , or just anything would look simple. Whatever it is - chord, or scale, or an arpeggio or a triad, diad, triad with extra notes, they all depend upon the intervals. See the intervals, you'll see the whole music theory. Good luck!
Yeah, he just moves from natural minor to harmonic minor by outlining a V chord in E harm minor. Very common harmonic trick.

Kiko, I'm not sure if you did mention it (cause it's late at night and couldn't watch it all) but rhythmic reiteration (and reinterpretation) is a good habit to get. Thought about it cause you did it while explaining the melodic approach introducing triads and scales. Also, more than 10 years ago, when I got hooked on no gravity, I noticed how beautiful the melodic and rhythmical repetition in Pau de arara solo was, to the point of abusing it and pushing it over the top.
So, yeah XD question and answer and all that

Hi Kiko. I am a member of both your guitar hacks and 7 factors but I totally agree about catching myself wanting to do a fast cool shreddy solo but notice nothing happens. It’s better to just start slow and improvise with 4 notes

It´s ok to say beginers, compared to you, that´s what we all are.
If the solo or embellishments dont add to the song then why add anything. I first listen, maybe several times. The best solo or harmony parts seem to be the ones that you hear and cant get out of your mind.

Ser negro não faz diferença, tem várias lendas que também são( Jimi Hendrix e tosin abasi por exemplo), creio que a nacionalidade também não importa, segue teu sonho, abraço.
