The overlap between my favorite booktubers and favorite beauty UA-camrs is apparently a circle 😂
You’re my hands down, 100%, forever and always my comfort watch. I love you so much, chandler. You make every day you upload (and rewatch on the days you don’t) better for me. Thank you for being the safest place. Another banger of a video!!! 🥰🤍
this made my day! ty
I recently finished The Wrong Bride too. No matter what else I read in 2023, it has a guaranteed spot on my list of top 10 worst books of the year. Martyr heroine, cartoonishly evil sister, and useless/oblivious/passenger-in-his-own-life hero is the love triangle from hell and I'm mad at myself for not looking at the reviews on goodreads first. I think I'm especially heated because the book I read immediately before The Wrong Bride was SO GOOD (Never Sweeter by Charlotte Stein) and it destroyed my buzz. Am I now holding a grudge against this book? You betcha.
I recently cancelled my KU subscription because I just wasn't using it enough to justify the cost, but as a lover of the weekly reading vlogs (RIP) I'm here for this!
My favorite romance from last year was Love and Other words but Ignite had been on my TBR list for the longest. I just might have to read it now 😅❤
ah if you pick it up i hope you love it!
Ignite is the kinda book that reminds me why I love romance🥰
ignite sounds actually so wholesome!
I love Ignite the whole Cloverleigh farms and next generation is a great small town romances ❤I always recommend them when ppl want small town
I adored the vibe of this video, perfect blend of bookish and life. Can’t wait for more!
Love Melanie Harlow. Man Candy was one of my firsts by her and I became obsessed. She’s so good 💕
Your vlogs are always so fun! Some KU recommendations for authors I love are: Sam Hall (for why choose, PNR and fantasy), Ruby Vincent (for why choose, dark romance), and Serena Akeroyd (for dark romance, mafia, and motorcycle club). All of these authors have completed series and Serena Akeroyd's Five Points Mob series can technically be read as standalone (except for Filthy Secret) but they have a plot that spans the series.
That transition to the sponsor was so smooth 😂👌🏻
I love your KU vlogs because I always end up discovering books I had never heard about. Ignite sounds amazing 😍 I'll definitely have to check it out.
Oh, I love surfshark! So nice to see you being sponsored by them ❤
I went into Avatar the same way as you - indifferent, I guess? Like I didn’t care for it, but I wasn’t opposed to watching it. My partner works in vfx, so he was really interested and excited, so I went with him. Thing is I work with screenwriting… so while he was watching the film in awe, I was pissed off at the script and bored out of my mind 😂
Great video!!!
if chan likes a book, odds are i will too. literally have the saaaaame taste 😍
Haha Taylor and Jessica are my go to beauty UA-camrs too. They always have such great recs and they’re so relatable. Love your videos!
Everybody on the same cycle with KU videos today 🤣💗 very excited for this!
HAH! i saw the readathon on IG, i'm hyped!
I HATED the wrong bride BUT bittersweet memories from her is really good! Maybe you’d like it!
Haden's little giggle at 23:09 is so funny
I'm giggling about your review for The Wrong Bride because I felt the exact same way about her book Bittersweet Memories.
I love your reading vlogs! But I know how much work it is to edit them, so I‘m really glad we get these weekend vlogs ✨
I highly recommend The Cursed Crown by May Sage if you want a shorter, standalone fantasy romance! So good! 💕
I have an eternal grudge against McyDs nuggets, because they changed them from being made with dark meat chicken to being made with white meat, and then also decided to stop making both options available for people to choose from for themselves to boot... and I'm allergic to white meat.
Like..if I put white meat chicken in my stomach, it will not stay in my stomach for very long, because it will just come right back up within a few hours or less(unless I only eat just a teensy tiny little bit of it like one nugget or less and accompanied with 2x as much other foods but preferably bread-and even then it still tends to make my stomach a bit uncomfy and my throat/breathing/ will constrict slightly). It sounds fake, but it's true. It's so sad.
I really miss eating chicken nuggets-I used to love them so much. 😿💔😿
In short: I guess what I'm really saying here is, I'm very jealous of your ability to just treat yourself with nuggets like that; I really wish I still could! 😅🙃😁 Lolll🙂😊
I hope you enjoyed them well!! ^--^ 🤍💜 😂
I got the nars cream bronzer because of Jessica Braun too! I absolutely love it.
What might be kinda fun… I am on the book bub email list, they sent out cheap book recs a few times a week but they often have free ones and a lot of them are romance. Could be an entertaining time and way to discover new authors.
Honestly I would love to see you read more Deveny Perry books, I love her writing and her stories and I think you could find something you really love in her works!
I recently got kindle unlimited and I CANT STOP
I love that you talked about Taylor and Jessica and I saw you had Delilah merch before. Those have been my main/ fav UA-camrs for years. I’m new to your channel but love all your videos so far.❤
Glad you loved Ignite! It was my first Melanie Harlow and I really enjoyed it.
Sucks that your books weren’t all that you expected, but all in all it looked like a good weekend! Sad that we didn’t see vid of the new kitten though!
I got into Catharina Maura too. Honestly, Forever After All is the only one I really like it.
the wrong bride sounds so not good omg i'm still glad you had one great book in these books!
I enjoyed The Wrong Bride!
victoria’s secret in 2008 😆 appletini was my jam
I love these vlogs 😊
Maybe not the rec you’re looking for currently (not angsty) but if you ever want something cute and on the quicker side you could try Aurora Rose Reynolds. I really like her Adventures in Love series and as a bonus they have audio available through KU. A little insta love-y but very sweet.
Love the thumbnail 🥰🥰🥰
thank you!!
YES my cats name is also Toby so I support your sister’s choice!
I would definitely say The Wrong Bride is my least favorite Catharina Maura book. If you ever try her again, I loved Bittersweet Memories and Until You. Those are the best in my opinion!
thanks for the recs! might have to give her a second chance
Not your sister and her cat (if she named him Toby) being Spoby from PLL
Boston Underworld series by A. Zavarelli was a good time! Definitely recommend
i've read em and agree!
The Wrong Bride and Ignite are both on my tbr. I've put off reading Ignite because I really didn't like Tease.
I loved taste and ignite by Melanie! I did not like tease 🥺 but I'd still try her! And I know Cheyenne from that tall book girl has been loving some of Catharina's books lately- idk about this one tho lol
okay it was bittersweet memories by Catharina Maura that ive seen people love!
I like more serious books, Scandal by Sharlyn G. Branson is quiet amazing. I got the audio, narrated by Joe Arden 🥰and Savannah Peachwood.
Author request/rec for KU - Scarlett St. Clair.
Would love to know your thoughts.
I was glad I enjoyed Ignite and Tease (I didn't like Irresistible), and gave Melanie Harlow another chance
i'm working my way thru Taste rn and i think i might have to just read the whole series at this point haha
@@chandlerainsley Do it, I have Tempt downloaded cause I saw ex's dad and was sold🤣
The price to pay for one five-star book 🤣
omg i watch jessica braun too!
been watching her for yeaaaars
KU rec: A Guy like Him by Amanda Gambill
omg what foundation is that? it looks so good!
it's a BB cream! missha perfect cover
@@chandlerainsley thank you!❤
Have your read the dalton brothers series on KU? I just read the intern
90% of Melanie Harlow's books are so fun. The series that starts with Man Candy is the only one I didn't like.
What species are your cats??😍❤️ I am super depressed too for some personal reason. They (the cute cats) made my day!😊 The name Tony or Anthony for the cat would be even better a choice.
they're ragdolls!
Do you read on an iPad? Your case is so cute ! Mind sharing where it’s from?
i read on a Kindle Oasis :) made the case myself
I was hoping to like The Wrong Bride but I thought it was awful.
The wrong bride is one of the worst books I’ve ever read
Am I the only one who doesn't like single dads with daughters in romance, I'd rather they have a boy... I don't know why.
lmao that's random. but hey Elsie Silver's got ya covered!
@@chandlerainsley I think it feels like he already has a "princess", and there's always some kind of competition. You know it's like that in real life? It's easier to marry a man with sons than one with daughters, boys are aloof, girls are much more difficult and demanding.... usually.
@@selenacasper5691 I dated a single Dad with a daughter and that's exactly how it was. He constantly reminded me that his daughter came before anyone and anything. He was very sensitive about anything regarding her, even down *how* I said her, then he'd get SUPER offended if I referred to her as "your daughter." In the end I was afraid to even talk about her, at all. Suffice it to say, we didn't last.
But his daughter was so sweet and fun and bubbly and we got along well. We hung out, chatted, exercised and cooked together. When her dad and I broke up, I wrote her a letter to tell her I'll miss her and gave her some encouraging words as she embarked on a new joinery of her life (she was about to start high school). I found out later that he found the letter before she did and threw it away.
On the other hand, prior to that guy, I dated a single dad of two kids. A boy and a girl, with the boy being an early teenager and the girl being a toddler. And during our entire relationship he never once made me feel like second in his life. He was so GREAT at spreading out his love and balancing all three of us so we all felt special to him. It was one of the most loving and wholesome relationships I've ever been in. Too bad he had a vindictive ex-wife who stirred up way too much drama in the end.
So I guess all that to say, some single dads are good at making the women in their lives feel just as loved as their kids, and some are horrible at it. I think the former is harder to find though.
@@LoveIsKindBeNice the little girl was too young it seems, i think if your relationship lasted until she was older things may have been different. I say that even though I’m “the daughter” , and my father remarried after my mother died. 20 years later, and it’s still VERY difficult 😞
