It was all about the 319s! Three years on and I miss them more than ever... Class 700s might be newer, cleaner and quieter but it’s just not got the charm of the 319s. Nice video, liked! :)
Man I really miss these times I remember when I was a little kid I would go on the first capital connect class 319 at Hendon station and I remember I went to London St Pancras international and London Blackfriars ah man I miss those times so much also in the east coast main line I went on the 313 and 365 with my Dad and went to New Southgate and Finsbury Park also went to Stevenage and Peterborough and when I was young I always hear the trains screaming when I was in New Southgate and Gran park
I miss the good old days when I took the comfy 319s and a 377 from Gatwick airport back from a foreign country. I hated the 319s but they ultimately made my childhood. The class 377 fascinated me as a child. First capital connect will live in our hearts
Yes I know I don't know when class 315 got withdrawn if you know that here is another train is class 319 it was operated by Thameslink and First Capital Connect And also was operated by First Capital Connect Thameslink Greater Anglia TFL Rail and London Overground
iMac Studios As far as I am aware, none of the Class 319's are being scrapped as there is plans to send them to Northern Rail and First Great Western in 2017 when the electrification of other sections of lines is complete. The units that are on borrowed time is the Class 142-144 Railbuses mate. Ash.
iMac Studios It will be Class 700, Class 377 and Class 365's from 2017 for the whole operator as the 317's and 321's are also going up north too. To be honest its better than scrap because those Class 142-144 units were meant to be replaced in the early 2000's. But sadly nothing lasts forever mate.
It was a strange operation, two (at the time) totally unconnected routes under one umbrella. I remember tourists around Kings Cross/St Pancras area used to get confused wondering which First Capital Connect services were at which station and I would try to put them straight
@@Antthecool1 at least now there is a way to tell one from the other. Side note, considering the majority of ex Thameslink Class 319's are now with Northern, when I started University in Bolton, it could be said that I followed them north (by the way I traveled on a 319 on the newly electrified route from Manchester to Preston via Bolton). Back home, my nearest station is/was Sutton, another station on the Thameslink route
1:11 How the hell does this train even runs so fast?! It’s nose is not even shaped like a bullet train, it is shaped like a normal train instead! Imagine seeing one running this fast, it must be quite scary
well the 319s are to be moved onto other routes as time goes on, then there will a brief period of new 377s and then the new Thameslink stock will come in
Antthecool1 I will be legitimately pissed if they start disappearing, I love the 319's, they're some of the most entertaining trains to actually travel on, and they sound epic.
bleep bloop Sadly no longer get to experience them on DC and AC power, especially at the switchover points. But the fact they're still around is really good.
all current stock 319 377 387 are leaving thameslink the 377 are going to great northern 319 up to northern and few to GWR as are 387 it will be 700 class only from 2016/17
Because they operated many services around the capital and through it, running services from Moorgate and King's Cross up towards Peterborough and Cambridge as well as from Bedford to Brighton (and other branches) via St Pancras and Blackfriars, so they connected a lot of places outside London to London, but not very well!

Yep, one of my favourites, though I think the 700s are not bad units. Thanks a lot!

3:46 I love you my beloved 313's 😍
Yes I know I don't know when class 315 got withdrawn if you know that here is another train is class 319 it was operated by Thameslink and First Capital Connect

Class 317 were Amazing on FCC Livery
When I take Thameslink's efforts into account, I kinda miss FCC lol
@mattaddison19 agreed
Gotta love those Class 319's :).
My friend told me they're getting scrapped. :( I really want to preserve 319 432 but I think it costs a lot of money.
iMac Studios Nope there being moved to other parts of the country

Ash.
I hope they run some on thameslink too. It's a shame all the 319s won't be together anymore. :(

Still the same under GTR, just have different branding
@@Antthecool1 at least now there is a way to tell one from the other.

I get nostalgia from first capital connect lol
Why did they get rid of First Capital Connect (also who loves the sound of the train when it moves off)
They didn’t get rid of it i think, I don’t know much but im pretty sure it was re-branded to Thameslink or Great Northern.
Because FCC was poor (not like thameslink or GN is any better tbf, the class 700s 717s and electro stars are not comfortable)
The 319 really is an amazing train
Bad acceleration of 0.55 m/s2
@@Tobu9105F That's right! But the acceleration is quite bad for stop start stop start running
Felt like a true railway under FCC. Under thameslink/gn everything just feels so... metro. And sterile.
1:11 How the hell does this train even runs so fast?!
It’s nose is not even shaped like a bullet train, it is shaped like a normal train instead!
Imagine seeing one running this fast, it must be quite scary
It was rather exciyfor me
Ah, the 313 use to be my local train, it can go at extreme speeds.
these trains have a top speed of 100mph, it’s common for commuter/regional trains to have 100mlh top speeds.
Trains don’t need to have bullet train shaped noses to be fast
So were they doing double dutu as a Lending Institution?
So the hole tain company fcc just stoped working or went under as a business?
Uh, the lost the franchise to run it, first group still run AWC, GWR, TPE and SWR
The 319s were amazing on FCC livery and now we have thameslink(I like thameslink trains but not as much fcc)
I love Thameslink Class 319
Thankfully they're still keeping the older units ... I imagine they'll be getting a light refresh of some kind soon following the takeover?
well the 319s are to be moved onto other routes as time goes on, then there will a brief period of new 377s and then the new Thameslink stock will come in

I agree but they are moving up to Northern and Ox-Pad so at leat they will still be in service
+deafyboy86 go to Liverpool lime street you will hit the jackpot
bleep bloop Sadly no longer get to experience them on DC and AC power, especially at the switchover points.
But the fact they're still around is really good.
Goodbye virgin trains
I love this video, are the FCC your Favourite's? :-)
Thanks, FCC aren't my favourite I think Scotrail are
+Antthecool1 northern rail
Foxy313 southern my favourite jk Chiltern railways are my fave
all current stock 319 377 387 are leaving thameslink the 377 are going to great northern 319 up to northern and few to GWR as are 387 it will be 700 class only from 2016/17
Worst Crapital Disconnect.
Good riddance to bad rubbish!
In-FlightVideosTM fcc is rubbish but not the trains
Goodbye Southern
will be in a few months but will still be run by Govia
Farewell First Capital Connect
Why do they look like First Great Westerns?
+TINYC100/TSHR's1965 Fan Ned Cook/ Beefeater Because they were both operated under First Group
Because they operated many services around the capital and through it, running services from Moorgate and King's Cross up towards Peterborough and Cambridge as well as from Bedford to Brighton (and other branches) via St Pancras and Blackfriars, so they connected a lot of places outside London to London, but not very well!
FCC was great
More like GOOD RIDDANCE! :D
Hello Govia Thameslink!
Indeed :)
FCC Ran on The Chatham Mainline?!?!?!
Yeah, they run to Orpington and Severnoaks via Bat&Ball from the Catford loop
These trains are all disgusting compared to the Class 700 wow what a difference.
The seats on the class 700s are, basically ironing boards
yes northern get class 319s
I agree the class 700 has good air conditioning and it's not loud and I like the information on the monitors and more carriages
Plane Sailing come up north and try a pacer 😂
AAO 786 your disgusting. Thameslink is literally the worst train company in England right now. Because there being late
