I keep coming back to this video as I love it so much. I hope that a Class 319/769 can be preserved even if just one set owned by LSL trains. Preferably 769008 that is ex-319008 that went through the channel tunnel in November 1993.
They are nice units and they have a charismatic look to them. They are not ugly unlike the bland Class 700's and the Class 387's that have displaced these. I hope to see at least one preserved at some point even if it is a Class 769 unit. Preferably 769008/319008 as that was named as "Cheriton" so its a celebrity.
I,m glad you enjoyed the video. It took a long time to collect and edit. I new I had most of the liveries and variants. I have a lot of the other classes but finding the time to edit them is a problem. There is an update to this video if you have not seen it already.
One of the best class 319 videos. I am so sad they no longer operate in London anymore. But love the music and this video. Great work! This video is a masterpiece!
I used to work for BR Southern Region when these first started to be delivered. Of course the first six units were delivered painted in the wrong shade of blue and remained that way for quite some time...
Great footage. Just looking at all the liveries on 319s alone shows what a silly merry-go-round privatisation has become! NSE was much the best in my opinion, but FCC isn't too bad. Some of the other ones are real eyeburners though, especially that last one. Yuk!
What music did you use for the 4th song? It definitely isn't the song youtube has picked up. Sounds a bit like StevenTheDreamer's music? Could you please add the names / links for all the songs in this in the description?
Only thing I would say, is there any chance of a music free version? The scream from the motors would really set this video off! (this isn't having ago though, still think its a great video)
5:22 - 5:27 with the music, it just sounds like one of the engines from Thomas the Tank Engine is pulling into the station, Gordon personally in my mind lol
Connex South Central used then on the Gatwick Airport to Rugby Service. When Southern took over the service ran from various places starting with Watford Junction to Brighton then from Milton Keynes to Brighton, before what we have now.
Connex used 8 class 319s for London-Brighton fast services called Connex Express. As there was no need for The pantograph the system was isolated and removed.

It’s healthy to come back to this video every now and then

I do love how Armstrong Powerhouse saw this
Yes, the sounds and features are great. Fun for the Midland Main Line Route on TS!
I would love a copy of this on DVD :).
Ok just FYI the almighty Armstrong Powerhouse have done a TS2019 version of this video.
You have been recognised, my friend
I've seen it
Im a big fav of the 313 but this emu just so much better 319 for ever
A video like this would also be good on classes 313, 317 and 321!

I have done and okay, its a good suggestion though don't you think?

It was a bad day when the 700 took over. There are two short updates 2012 & 2014 that you may not have seen.
@@agdenyer Yes it was terrible when the Class 700's replaced the Class 319. But I have seen the updates as well.
319s run peak time for London Northwestern Railway
@@agdenyer Yeah it was a terrible day
@@agdenyer At least the 700s aren't as bland as the aventras which have a motor sound worse than the screech of chalk on a chalkboard
I used to work for BR Southern Region when these first started to be delivered. Of course the first six units were delivered painted in the wrong shade of blue and remained that way for quite some time...
The trumpet in the beginning plays the same tone than the Class 319 DC pulsing sound when they start !
The intro is lined up so well that the train horn almost sounds like it's part of the music
FCC was probably my favourite livery on it, but NSE looks amazing on it.
What happened to good livery designs
Absolute brilliance! Really captures the amazing class 319's from times we wish that we were in! R.I.P Class 319's, you were amazing trains!
These Class 319 will be sadly missed since they were replaced by the class 700 Thameslink and they were putted on the Northern and Midlands line
this is just the best thing ever
i miss the the old connex livery which went in 2007
Love the old NSE livery back in the days when railways were friendly!
12:58 that is such a lovely shade of blue, wish they used that livery down where I live :\
I don't get it if the southern 319 were passed over to fcc they should have atleast change the livery to fcc
Great footage.

Going by there past history, Don't hold your breath
I didn’t know the 319/0 were repainted into the light grey version on NSE livery.

The Lycra Livery is shown in class 319 A Coat of Many Colours 2012 Update.
Great video, you just missed the Emirates Airline livery and the Lycra Mobile livery!
Only thing I would say, is there any chance of a music free version? The scream from the motors would really set this video off! (this isn't having ago though, still think its a great video)
This music would go well with class 170 on another video
Perfect video! Thank you for putting together!
It would be nice to have a reuploaded video with the northern and new themslink liverys
I liked the Thameslink Graffiti livery
Graham Farish are going to do these units in N'gauge
Say what
I am not one hundred percent sure, but I think the popcorn track came from A Music for Pleasure LP. I don't know its number.
whos the version of popcorn by?
5:22 - 5:27 with the music, it just sounds like one of the engines from Thomas the Tank Engine is pulling into the station, Gordon personally in my mind lol

The second to last song was so sad
what is the music for the first thameslink livery
Thanks very much!
Whats the music for the Connex livery and the Blue and Yellow Theamslink livery?
TSguy0100 Connex music was Popcorn & the other was Oxygene, both played on a moog.
agdenyer Thank you.
Did anyone else boo when they saw Connex?
+alfievision I booed at First Capital Connect because they were worse.
Channel Alf No because I was only a little kid in the Connex days.
Mind you, Southern aren't any better...
Yep
I Have just posted a video "class 455 Variations on a theme". I hope you enjoy it.

The music for connex is Popcorn and the second thameslink is Oxygene
whats the music for the 2nd thameslink livery????
12:28 What on earth happened to the pantograph? It appears that they removed the pantograph equipment but why?
Could be that it is having a newer type of panto fitted, but seems to have some alterations to the windows also.
Connex used 8 class 319s for London-Brighton fast services called Connex Express. As there was no need for The pantograph the system was isolated and removed.
And now there is Great Northern Thameslink....
What’s the music around 9 minutes in?

The stations at around 5.40 were Rugby (Connex) and Harpenden (Thanslink)
what is the first song?
The opening music is "The Way We Were" by Bert Kaempfert
whats a snug?
A snug was a reference to a bar in a pub. The units had a small bar installed.
