Glad you got to try one out dude.... I will say I was impressed by what it had to offer out of the box.....but diving into some settings first then getting exactly what you want on it from the app...it becomes pretty incredible 💯
This pedal has brought me to a much happier place tone-wise. While I do love my digital modelers I still prefer the tone of real pearls and a tube amp. However, my band wants a guitar feed into the PA. This pedal allows me to simply put it on my pedalboard and not have to mic the amp. Loving it!
I’ve found the pedal very good as well. The “feel” is def better IMO albeit I’m getting better tones with the Stomp-but I’m still learning the Tonex One. The noise gate is OK.
Yes, I'm in the same boat. What drew me to the Tonex One is its small footprint. A real space saver that packs such a punch, and provides many options.
I have one on my pedalboard and love it. A lot of people are using two which will make even more sense when IK comes out with the new update this month. It did take me some time to find amp captures that worked for me and those were NOT the factory presets. But there are a lot of great captures to be had out there. I am using two Tone Junkie captures. A 68 Fender Twin Reverb and a 66 Vox. I am using it in the loop of my HX Stomp.
Yeah, I'm on the fence right now. I think the BOSS IR-2 is definitely simpler to use and dial in tones. However, the Tonex One has much more features and capabilities. I just need to spend a lot more time with the Tonex One and its editor application. I think it'll provide what I need...just a couple of amp/cab sim rigs to feed to a PA or FOH while I use either a tube amp or FRFR on stage.
I put my Tonex pedal in FX loop of my Podgo, turn off Amp/cab and use Podgo as stomp only. Not sure if all my settings are correct but seems to work well. Could you do a video on that experiment?
I may try that out some day. Right now my Tonex One is on a new pedalboard I built. This way I don't need to mic my tube amp and can get a simulated amp/cab signal sent to the band's PA. Don't need to mic my tube amp this way :)

Nice set up! Glad it's working for you. The Tonex One sure is a little beast of a pedal :)
I think the boss ir-2 and that pedal board sounded much better. Not even close but I’m not in the same room to hear them.

I run the eq on my fr12 flat except the cut which I run at around 11oclock. Volume about halfway up....sounds huge with any modeller to me
The Cut knob sure as heck makes a difference!
@@JoshGordonGuitar sure does...
