You know I was once at a conference with Ruth Hunt, I remember her speech, she said that having just achieved full equality under the law for LGB people, Stonewall needed to pivot to winning ‘hearts and minds’ (because they’ve always known that Diversity and inclusion initiative were only ever a box ticking exercise that didn’t work). Secondly that Stonewall needed to focus on trans rights.
Well it’s over a decade later and Stonewall gave up on ‘hearts and minds entirely’ and I doubt anyone expected that those LGB rights would be rendered meaningless in stonewalls attempts to dismiss biological sex.
I don't know, perhaps the hearts and minds statement should've been taken literally since now we know what we know.

It's fine to be what you are (if it's legal) but you cannot use your position to force everyone else to be like you. Applies to sexuality, religion, political beliefs etc.
Prescribing puberty-blockers for precocious puberty is totally different. This prevents puberty occurring at, say, five years old which would stunt development. If puberty-blockers are given for that condition, the puberty is stopped at that age and occurs at the expected age - early teens.
If puberty-blockers are given to block NORMAL puberty, to ensure that it does not occur at the normal age, the development of body and brain are disrupted and this cannot be restarted where it left off. Irreversible damage will have happened.
Also can affect their reproductive system. In effect making kids sterile.

Exactly. When given for precocious puberty, it's normally a single dose, sometimes 2 or 3. It's not given regularly for long periods of time, like it is when given to "trans children."

It's my understanding that puberty blockers were originally used to treat and delay precocious puberty, ie. children experiencing puberty before age 8/9. It was a short term treatment that was then halted when the child reached the age of 11/12.

Using puberty blockers "OFF LABEL" for purposes which the drug was not designed is the first indication that there were problems. There was no feedback loop was in place to verify that the usage was correct for a situation that primarily was psychological.

Puberty blockers (lupron) has been used to treat precocious puberty and pos. I have read that there have been health problems caused in both groups and that it's now being investigated.
