In my lifetime I've known three Women who had breast cancer, one of them is related to me. Insurance would not cover their reconstructive surgery; only one of them managed to save enough money to get the breast reconstructive surgery done.
It's unfair that if their brothers had wanted breast implants insurance would have paid for it but won't do it for Women who have gone through the traumatic, physically and mentally painful disease that is Cancer.

Part of the answer is that it became a cause for supposed threats of suicide and therefore life threatening. It reads like a script used to alarm and to get a certain outcome.
Absolutely. Those who have been mutilated by disease ought to have reconstruction covered, especially considering how the loss of such body parts robs them of their self-esteem. In the same vein, it's also messed up that aging men with low testosterone have to jump through ridiculous hoops to get a TRT prescription (and it's more than just sex drive that is effected when it's low), when a 16 year old biological female can easily get a prescription just by saying "I feel like a boy".

For a start the massive increase in young people deciding they're the wrong sex is relatively recent. So saying the majority never de-transition in their lifetime doesn't mean anything as they haven't had their whole lifetime yet, and we're still currently suffering through this rather grim social experiment.
There is also a huge difference between someone who has a genuine psychological illness and someone with identity issues who has fallen prey to social contagion.
Also, as per link below, in the long term (quite apart from increased cancer risk, multiple infections, sterility etc) it doesn't work. Suicidality is 20 times as high as comparable peers.
I'm not against the surgery as an absolute last resort for people who are disturbed enough that they will likely do something drastic and dangerous if they don't get it, however a surgical intervention for a psychological problem is almost never appropriate and should always be the last resort.

I suffered for years with female issues. Paid for my insurance for years & years & about died before i was approved to have a hysterectomy. Yet tax payer funded Medicare is paying for this? What about my suffering & millions more women across America? Maybe I should have told them I wanted to transition so I could have gotten it for free. Would have saved me $10k

I have a similar story. Because most doctors don’t care about women. There’s always products for erectile dysfunction which to my knowledge is not physically painful and though there’s mental anguish, there’s also mental anguish for female issues (I have endometriosis and fibroids) along with extensive pain. Yet Medicare will pay for men to transition to being women. Again I’m sure there is mental anguish but what about women who have breast cancer and don’t get approved for implants. so again women suffer with pain AND mental anguish and nothing. It’s a man’s woman.

I got a bachelors of science in Psychology and did a rotation as an RN in the local hospital behavioral health ward. I did not hear the word Trans until 2017 when a person in the ladies room of Cross Gates Mall food court bathroom told me they were one when I was washing my hands. They were hanging out at the mirrors staring at themself and told me they were T and said they did not feel man or woman, but dressed in a shirt similar to what I wore in 7th grade. Gender confusion was treated same as body dysmorphic as both are upset with body they are in. I never met one ender confused in the mental health industry. I did hear juvenile halls are all pushing kids down that route though, even a few whistleblower healthcare workers who came out about it, and there was that case of the boy in CA forced to take estrogen in threats of being held in longer if e refused, and he grew breasts. He told his dad and they are suing. Not all families can afford to sue. What do you call focusable altering at-risk populations with widespread sterilization?

Think about that... what larger agenda has to be at play when the federal government will pay for a young man to get breast implants, but will not pay to have them removed? Never mind that Medicaid will not pay for a woman to have breast implants after a masectomy, due to breast cancer.

That is just a technological debate, the technology to fully change gender might be available within the next century. If it is gender becomes personal preference, and there is no legit reason to see it as anything else at that point.

Some people can't cope with another human having slightly more or less skin pigment than themselves, a very minor difference between two individuals. For some reason that's considered legitimate politics, madness, a person's inability to cope with slight natural variations within their own species shouldn't be a political view, it's clearly a form of mental illness when viewed through a macro lense.

Detrans woman here. I was a trans man for 14 years, detransitioned a year ago at 28. Initially it was a profound experience caused by a deep spiritual transformation that affected my whole body. It was a miracle.
Only recently am I now wracked with grief, shock and panic. I am going through a deep disillusionment with all this transgender stuff. When I started seeking medical treatment at age 14, I was desperate to save my life from the debilitating pain and horror. I had been left alone with undiagnosed health issues all my childhood. Not once did someone try to get me help. Even when I transitioned, there was no investigation into my health issues.
I'm so sorry that those who were supposed to love you, take care of you and lead you in the right direction failed you; I hope you will consider what kensears said above:

I know in my soul and my bones you are right that this is spiritual. It was a deep and total spiritual transformation that changed how I lived in my body, my whole energy and physiology, that healed me from transgenderism and sparked my detransition. I made a film about this on my channel called Touching The Source. The movie Jesus Revolution was the first spark, the catalyst to that transformation. I grew up nonreligious but after many years of developing spiritually, I now have the ability to see that God was with me the whole time and was working to free me.

So, I at 36, cannot get medicaid to approve aheart stress test, due to my CARDIOLOGIST being CONCERNED about my heart, due to my resting heart rate, up to 170's.... RESTING HEART RATE.. along with skipped beats, my blacking out after I slightly bend down....I get pressure on my chest, head and back of my neck, then blackout.... it's scary, and he said being in my mid 30's, it's not normal....

Don't know what's wrong with you, I'm not a doctor. I was having terrible arrythmia and difficulty exercising. They were talking about putting in a pacemaker. I did some research and tried taking electrolytes every day (sodium, potassium and magnesium together in the correct proportion). The symptoms started going away within two days. A month later, I could exercise.

Sad that he undertook such extreme surgery before figuring out he was on the wrong path, but it's great to hear this young man processing his emotions in a healthier direction. Sending wishes for success/happiness/fulfillment in his days ahead. At the same time, it's CRAZY there are "healthcare professionals" that do this to confused young people.
WPATH themselves say there is no way to know if an individuals gender identity is fixed or will change (WPATHSOC8 S.45) but they insist on an affirmation only model all the same. They are to blame.

It's wonderful hearing how this young man has been able to begin turning his life around. When he spoke about the opportunity he had to help his grandmother before she died, to reconnect with his grandfather, his current work (where his parents met!), as well as his hope for the future you could literally see the joy on his face. Praying for that joy and healing and strength to continue so someday he can encourage others who may have had similar experiences.
My heart breaks for this young man, and the many others that have been coerced to do something that will permanently change their very being. I’ve seen so many similar stories, and they’re devastating for these young people.
This young man has a beautiful heart and soul, and an amazing positive outlook, and that gives me joy, and I hope this propels him into the future, and he continues to be a force for good.

Yeah. Medicare covered this. But my daughter has a rare stomach disease, and they won't cover her medications. So she can't take them. This resulted in her having a heart attack at 20yrs old from malnutrition and dehydration because the bottom of her stomach closes shut and will not let food and water pass, she will just throw it up the next day. The only thing that helps is marijuana that she smokes before she eats dinner. It works most of the time, not always. She gets sick a lot. She had to give up her career in the medical field because because they test for marijuana, they understand why but still can not hire her because of it. She has a new career now. Medicare needs to Reevaluate the priorities.
