as soon as i heard Oblivion, i knew it was for me. then i saw this video and as someone who makes Industrial Metal i was utterly sold at this point. i've been playing around with this software today and i actually cant remember the last time i had so much fun with a plugin =]
great layering David ! you clearly understand not only freq ranges of components, but their rhythmic interactions also. curious about the sampled heavy guitar? sounds like a 7 string ( Shreddage Jupiter???) can't see the track listing...keep rockin!
I love how Mick Gordon was able to combine cinematic music, meshuggah and Nine Inch Nails perfectly into a AAA game soundtrack and practically wrote the book on what this kind of music should sound like. David Levy is an immense talent to be able to develop music in this style without sounding like a total copy. Although I can’t help but feel that this industrial metal sound might become quickly stagnant if used in too many projects and songs without much care as to why the initial soundtrack was so mind blowing
Really nice. I'll check it out.for sure. I'm curious how David keep all that low end in check with all the layering. All the sounds individually still had a bunch in them but the final result sounds very clean. Really impressive stuff.
The multi-sampled rhythmic pedals only make up a small portion of sources in Oblivion. In addition to the 72 Tempo-synced Rhythmic Pedals, there are 24 Basses, 24 leads, 72 Textures/pads, 72 stings, 36 Modular Noises/glitches/rips, and 36 Risers/Dives. Also, in addition to the 350 designed presets, you can mix and match three layers in the Oblivion Designer to create endless amounts of playable patches. Hope this helps!
I purposely chose to feature and highlight the pedals in this video because they’re fun and inspiring to work with. You can write a full track very quickly with them!
Hi there, we do have a softer side with instruments like Ascend: Modern Grand, Aspire: Modern Mallets, Allure: Modern Upright, our Vocalise products, Intimate Textures, Rhythmic Textures, and Solo Textures to name a few. You can explore any of these at heavyocity.com/products/ Let us know if you have any further questions. Cheers!
Let's get more of this kind of David Levy commentary! The man is a deep well of knowledge and experience - loved the vid!
🖤🖤🖤
great track! excited to check this library out
Fantastic! Love how you break it down to each of it's elements to showcase this beautiful library :)
Great library! Thanks for the detailed analysis of the project, it was very useful! And yes - Oblivion 2 ;)
sounds amazing -> heavyocity never disappoints :)
Really strong work, beautifully constructed, well done!
There isn't a movie you could put this in without it out shinning the movie itself!! You did a damn great job on this!!!

Nice! Looking forward to hearing what you write with it!
Sounds sick David!! :)

This sounds so sick! Love this guy's demo track!🤘
Thanks for checking it out! 🤘
Sick!

I’ll make a video about it. 🤓
@@davidlevymusic That would be so cool.
@@davidlevymusicI'd love that, please do and excellent work as always!
that snare sound!!! great rrack !
4 stages of compression, limiting and clipping 🙈😅
Great track! Already purchased. \m/
Mind blown - I wonder what are those guitar sounds though very heavy!
This is sick! What is that snare from??
Are the tonal and atonal things part of oblivion or were they made separately?
Part of Oblivion
Mannnnn not guna lie i was really hoping it was talking about doom 2 style tracks
really interested in this but it seems to contain a lot of loops which is sady :/ i thought there are many patches and not loops

also atomic heart soundtrack creator :)
That’s mick Gordon no? Unless David Levy also worked on that
@@r-d-v and Geoffrey day
I didn't work on Atomic Heart, but my good friend @GeoffPlaysGuitar did, and crushed it!
@@davidlevymusic thank you my friend! ❤
@@davidlevymusic i loved all these remixes of russian songs and the hedgie and other end boss music like the twins.
Very cool Demo. To clean and "political" correct for me to be a real Doom track. There can only be one Doom-Creator and thats Mick Gordon.
Yeah dude! Mick is a true pioneer and I’m a huge fan of his work!
Thanks for checking out the video!
wtf is a pedal?
A multi-sampled tonal loop
It starts to sound too similar to other heavyocity tools
Why are your products allways so dramatic?
How about making a plug-in that is piano/pianissimo?

I mean their name is Heavyocity, of course their products are gonna be dramatic 🔥
It’s good, but it’s not nearly as good as Mick Gordon’s music.
