Thanks, Pete! As expected from a Heavyocity library, it screams badass quality! This totally complements their other hybrid libraries. Sounds like a great library for promos too!
Hey Matt. Yes indeed! It's a very cool library, almost like applying the Damage treatment to synths and sound design. I can certainly see a lot of uses for it! Thanks for the comment!
Really nice! But if you're on a budget, you can have some fun by DIYing your own sound design for aggressive patches: Start by picking out a sound - any sound will do - and use FX plugins you probably already have to apply distortion, saturation clipping, and heavy compression. Top it off with continuous and/or step modulation/sequencing of whatever parameters you like - volume, panning, filter cutoff, etc. - then layer to taste with one or more sounds that you've crafted in a similar fashion. The Heavyocity value is that they've taken the time and applied their expertise to design and curate an amazing library of aggressive sounds for you. But truly, with time and desire you can create your own.
You're just talking about only one sound. Now, apply all these steps on another sound then another sound then another sound and so on until you reach a 300+ sounds. It's not just a normal time and desire. It's an insane amount of time and desire. Not everyone has the long time luxury.
You know what would separate you guys from other reviewers? If you put a list up of plugins that are similar so composers can start to do research to see it this type of sound id better found elsewhere. Cheers!
Thanks for the suggestion :) obviously in library specific videos we want to stay focused on the library in the spot light. However, that is a very cool idea for other themed videos! You may be on to something! :)
@@thesampleistYeah indeed. You could maybe make a video about 4 different but similar libraries. Maybe a nice example could be: Damage 2 vs UJAM Drums vs AVA DECADENCE Trailer Toms vs Cinematic Tools Tommee Profitt Percussion
Does anyone know how to re-sell serials ?Customer service told me that you cannot resell plugins . But that they can confidentially resell your serial.
Well, I couldn’t compare the two libraries as they really are completely different. Oblivion does the aggression so amazingly well. Gravity 2 is an amazing tool kit which can suit a lot of different applications. Really, I see these two libraries complement each other very well. Gravity 2 is a cinematic beast and Oblivion take the aggression up a notch. Oblivion is a huge library considering its price tag.
What Heavyocity does very often is cutting the sound in the moment key leased - I mean even the effects - so imediately cut off. Especially with their orchestra libs. Sounds than like your music was made by loop files. That is the main reason why its not an instant buy anymore. Another is the high CPU usage which seems to be introduced by new engine coming with Mosaic set. I dont know how it is here, but I am carefull now before buying their instruments.
that expand source is brilliant Thanks boss
It is. 😎
It is indeed!
Nice demo, thx!

Hmm;maybe
