Shakmat is amazing! I have several modules from them (including the battering ram) and all of them are amazing - awesome build quality and really well thought out. Nice detail is that they offer nearly all modules also as DIY kits - with support, if anything goes wrong. Worth a look is also the Archer’s Rig, if you’re interested in hihats/metal percussion. I will definitely get one asap when my bank account is on the sunny side again =)
Duuuude! You are SO Excited.. That's so amazing. You lit up so much in this video.. So adorable!! Hahahaha!.. Seems like you're having so much fun.. Thanks for sharing this man
Coincidentally, I've just spent just under a grand on Modular this afternoon. Then I come across your bloody video. Oh, thank you very much. If I had children they would starve this winter.
My favourite thing about modular is that "just spent under a grand" can mean anything from 3 full systems with case and power to maybe a couple of individual modules, depending on the actual selection of gear :D
Nice one man, glad to see more live performance orientated material from your channel, ableton is good but some of us want to spend more time twisting knobs and to use our drum machines, sequencers and Modular toys 🦾🦾
Ended up buying this and archers rig because of your video after watching a couple of weeks ago. Only had it since yesterday and made two tracks already. I have a feeling this kick will be my kick many many releases
That littly ditty you made really gave me huge Leftfield vibes! That kick/bass sounds like their track Phat planet almost, just sped up and changed to a techno rhythem instead of a more breaky rythem!!!

great, now i want at least one battering ram, and i neither make techno nor do i have the space in my rack. in your video it really seems to be a module lots of sweet spots and superb heavy sound.

Absolutely lovely demo of the Battering Ram! It's more expensive than any module in my (roughly) 6 Eurorack systems, but damn does it sound the part. I originally got the Befaco Kickall a few years ago to achieve a similar thing and while it absolutely can give the Battering Ram a run for its money in some scenarios, I've found it way more useful as an "808 bass" in the rack rather than an actual kickdrum. I really do wish Shakmat did a DIY version of the Battering Ram; maybe I just need to start saving up! Also, shoutout to the AFA Baron Samedi I see in your rack! @@OscarUnderdog it really does! I bought the V1 Godeater pedal 5 years ago and I wanted to get the Eurorack version but that was just too far out of my budget, so I ended up simply 3D printing a Eurorack panel for the pedal and made a custom power cable, and it literally worked first try; the entire circuit being made to handle Eurorack +12V power and Eurorack level audio just proved to me how much care and thought goes into AFA's designs (well that and getting to talk to the actual people working there lol)
