I think my problem is static electricity, I was on my pc when I was moving my drawing tablet on my desk which is right in front of my monitor and somehow my monitor just shut off and it doesn’t want to turn back on, I tried a different outlet and just moving some cables , I did not do anything to the wires or the power button before it happened, but I really don’t remember if I heard any static or anything, I wanna say I did but I just simply don’t remember. Hopefully it goes back to normal because this is my second monitor because my other one fell on its face on my desk and it cracked about 1 month ago and it was a good one, 31in 2k res 144hz 1ms, whereas this one is 27 in 1080, 165hz 1ms I’ll update if it gets fixed.

I have a problem. When I turn on the case and monitor, my case works but nothing appears on my monitor. It just says LG and then "power saving mode" so it's a black screen and that's it. Acer Predator XB271HU gaming monitor not working I've had this monitor for a little over 3 years, it worked fine with one exception - rebooting the monitor by pressing the power button twice would make it "hang" with a power LED on, but no picture on the screen (not even a logo / splash screen). I've found that leaving the monitor unplugged overnight fixed the problem and it would start up and work again normally the following morning. This solution worked fine until recently, now the monitor won't turn on even after a week of being unplugged. The LED still turns on whenever I plug the monitor in, I've attempted a factory reset by holding down a combination of menu buttons (as per Acer manual) but I didn't get any response from the monitor (no LED changing colour, or flashing, monitor didn't reboot, etc...), so there is a possibility that this problem is caused by a faulty motherboard. I imagine that the panel should still be working, but some other part might need to be replaced to get the image on the screen again. Please help me with how to fix it

My S23B300B SAMSUNG monitor had been working for 13 years, but suddenly it would no longer turn on. Back then, 13 years ago, It only cost me $64, and so I did not want to spend more money today if possible. They seem much more expensive these days. But thankfully I found a cure. I used 2 diodes to drop the 14VDC power supply down to 12.6VDC, and that did the trick. The main processor was over heating, and when the monitor was turned off, the power supply voltage would rise slightly, and for what ever reason, these two conditions combined locked things up. So it worked great when it was on, but if you turned it off, it stayed off, unless you unplugged the monitor for some time, and then plugged it back in again. But this no longer happened after dropping the power supply voltage by 1.4 volts, and on top of that, the main processor no longer heats up.

Is it possible to check the monitor on another PC? Maybe the problem is in the PC itself! It is even possible that the north bridge on the motherboard has failed.
That's why my monitor wasn't turning on because I had a splitter that turns the 3 thing into the 2 thing and that one was it in properly so I got a new one and I can use my computer
One more thing you can try is turn off the monitor first, wait for a few seconds then turn on the computer. Just after you turn on the computer, turn on the monitor.
my monitor at first it will turn on and off. after a few hours of waiting. the monitor becomes okay. but the hassle is, you should wait an hour to use it. what seem to be the problem? thanks
If your monitor is turning on and off intermittently and takes a few hours to stabilize, there could be a few potential causes for this issue: Power supply issues: Check the power cable and connections to ensure they are secure. It's possible that there may be a loose connection or a faulty power cable, causing the intermittent power supply to the monitor. Overheating: Monitor components can overheat, leading to issues like flickering or turning on and off. Ensure that the monitor's ventilation is not blocked, and that it has sufficient airflow around it. If the monitor has built-in fans, check if they are working properly. Faulty capacitors: Capacitors on the monitor's circuit board can degrade over time, causing power-related issues. Inspect the capacitors visually for signs of bulging or leakage. If any capacitors appear damaged, they may need to be replaced by a professional technician. Display driver or firmware issues: Outdated or incompatible display drivers or firmware can cause instability and erratic behavior. Check the manufacturer's website for any available driver or firmware updates for your specific monitor model. Hardware malfunction: In some cases, the issue may be due to a hardware malfunction within the monitor itself. Components such as the backlight, inverter, or control board may be failing. In such cases, contacting the manufacturer's support or a professional technician for further assistance or repairs may be necessary. It's recommended to try basic troubleshooting steps, such as checking connections and updating drivers, to rule out any simple issues. If the problem persists, contacting the manufacturer's support or seeking assistance from a qualified technician would be the best course of action to diagnose and resolve the issue.

But this no longer happened after dropping the power supply voltage by 1.4 volts, and on top of that, the main processor no longer heats up.

All good stuff but what about this:
My DVI monitor "B" works on computer "A". My computer "B" works on DVI monitor "A". Monitor "B" does not work on computer "B". The same video cable is used for both tests. Computer "B" has on board DVI socket. Fitting separate video card to computer "B" has no effect. Where to from here?
this guy is a legend, the cable was out 😂😂

How about when the monitor button intermittently flashes each time you push the "on" button but the display won't light up.
Problem with the cable or power supply. Have you plugged in spare HDMI VGA cables?
@@HetmanRecovery No this monitor is on my camera system. For the past few days when I press the illuminated "on" switch it briefly turns red which is normal and then switches off. I have to persist maybe 5 minutes and at time there is a flash on the screen lasting milli seconds until finally it seems to "catch" and the screen appears and the switch is solid red. Is the backlight failing?
@@HetmanRecovery No! The monitor is connected to my video camera system. When I hit the "on" button it briefly flashes red then off. I persist for several minutes pressing a red flash and nothing. At times I see a flash on the screen. Reminds me of a fluroescent light when the ballast goes. Finally after enough attempts the light on the switch goes solid red and the display comes on.
When I turn on my desktop, it shows a yellow/orange light what do I do?
Have you found a fix yet ?
The video is SUPER GOOD IM SUBBING!!!!
Hello, I'm using a dual monitor and everything seems to be working. However If I disconnect one of them, doesn't matter which, the other one still conncted will go black and wont turn on. When trying to only use monitor wont work, it will go black after login. The screen will only work if both monitors are connected to the GPU. Even when both of them are connected. if I change things such as adaptive sync on the monitor settings, turning on HDR or choosing which monitor to be only displayed, both monitors will turn black. I've tried to clean install windows, placing gpu into second slot with no help. Any idea what on earth is going on? Thanks
I tried changing display port cable, but seems to be the same.
Hey thanks alot! It was the second one for me! I really appreciate you making this video
Always glad to help )
Thank you for putting this video together :)
Thank you very much sir 😊
This was very helpful to me.
What happens to me what’s there is a switch an my house that turns on and off an oiler in my house and the outlet was turned off during an inspection at my house
I got a scepter monitor a few months ago and there was an issue that began like 3 months ago. I would turn on my pc, my pc would run properly. But my monitor while being connected wouldn't display power at all. Then I just left my monitor disconnected for a few weeks trying to forget it and like 2 weeks ago I conected it and switched it on and it worked and displayed my pc homescreen but then it would just turn the monitor completely off randomly. Please help I have no idea how to fix it and there arent any videos about this
Is it possible to check the monitor on another PC? Maybe the problem is in the PC itself! It is even possible that the north bridge on the motherboard has failed.
Guys if your monitor won’t turn on unplug the thing at the back of it
I didn’t press the powerbutton, and I’m an electrician🤣 but in all fairness, I thought I did though, but it was the wrong button.
That's why my monitor wasn't turning on because I had a splitter that turns the 3 thing into the 2 thing and that one was it in properly so I got a new one and I can use my computer
I held the shift key down it turned on also rapidly hit f2 when turning it on
I have test every components of my pc but it still does not works
thank you this helped alot make sure to keep uploading helpful content
You are welcome)
One more thing you can try is turn off the monitor first, wait for a few seconds then turn on the computer. Just after you turn on the computer, turn on the monitor.
Thank you for the addition
my monitor at first it will turn on and off. after a few hours of waiting. the monitor becomes okay. but the hassle is, you should wait an hour to use it. what seem to be the problem? thanks
If your monitor is turning on and off intermittently and takes a few hours to stabilize, there could be a few potential causes for this issue:
Power supply issues: Check the power cable and connections to ensure they are secure.
