I never knew how to cook frozen vegetables without making them soggy before. Today I tried your method and my vegetables came out AMAZING. I used a bit of ghee instead of butter (more heat stable) and it was simple and so delicious!
I just made shrimp stir-fry last night. I put the frozen vegetables on high heat, and don't cover because I want some of that crunch. I marinated the shrimp for 30minutes in a ginger/teriyaki sauce beforehand, and then cooked them in a fry pan until pink. Remove, and seperate them. Then I cooked the vegies, and added the shrimp back in. Add a little more sauce to the whole thing, and throw that over rice, or ramen. It was my first time cooking asian, and it turned out great. I'll have to try your way sometime. Happy cooking everyone!
I have severe stomach issues and been trying to find healthy ways to eat vegetables and other foods. I ended up coming across this video and believe it or not first try and they came out perfect I can honestly say this is a true beginners video for people that don’t know anything about cooking.
Yep. I did it differently, but still the same. Water, boil off. I used olive oil instead of butter. And I used 1/4 teaspoon of cracked red pepper instead of ground pepper. I also minced my own garlic, because it is cheaper that way(I am stingy with money). I also doubled the portions. Note, for as much as she did in this video, if you choose to use cracked red pepper, use only 1/8 a teaspoon of cracked red pepper.
Thank You! I did it just as you said. They were perfect for us. Dried out the water and fried up Great. The garlic wasn't over powering, just adding good flavor. Didn't need the salt or pepper. Best way I have found for this.
I can't believe you put the bowl on the burner like that! Lol. I accidently did that once and the plate exploded! Anyway the veggies looked delicious. My hubby bought a huge bag of frozen veggies. I prefer fresh bc I find frozen kinda blah. I'll definitely try this method of cooking them. Thanks!
Yum! Thanks for keeping it real! You didn't drench the veggies in anything crazy just added a lil' flavor to make them more appealing and delicious. This is better than eating no veggies at all and avoiding them because they kinda taste gross when they are steamed :P Thanks for the vid!
@VPM7 ginnie keeping them covered (glass lid or aluminum foil, both are fine) allows the steam to stay in there to defrost and slightly cook the vegetables before you saute them. She didn't specifically say that in the video but thats what she meant by waiting until the water evaporates before adding the fats(oil spray & butter).
Well,i have to thank you a lot my dear,as after many years of eating tasteless frozen vegetables and trying to add to it all possible spices I found the way how to make it tasty! Thanks🙂☝️🧚♂️♥️
Smart lady. I love your methods. Their ingenious. I love garlic and butter, salt and pepper on veggies. I never thought about the aluminum foil. Question: Could the lid help with the water evaporation? I’m a new cook.
I suggest maybe turn down the heat so you don't burn the butter. I know they're a little pricey but shallots are a great thing to bring some flavor to your dish.
Thank you for putting frozen veggies back on my grocery list. I got to the point I wasn't eating many veggies anymore due to getting tired of buying fresh every couple days. I loved how these turned out crispy and charred for a great flavor. I think some fried mexican street corn is on the menu tomorrow ;)
I would order the vegetables. Its weird that im the opposite of people because most people like fruits but I dont. I like vegetables but I do like 2 fruit which is bananas and apples.
This is so Gr8888888t. Once I tried the butter, it sublimes the veg to a whole another level. But still wondering, is the frozen veg from supermarket is as nutritious as the fresh one?

Thanks for sharing! The vegetables tonight were very good! I made them just like you, because I didn’t want mushy frozen vegetables.
Can I use a glass lid instead of the aluminum foil to steam the vegetables?
I would like to know why you have to cover them if the reason is to evaporate the water should you not keep lid off.

That glow in your skin just wow
I love this .. it was so helpful, I tried it and they were delish..!
Can you steam them first and then put them in the skillet to sauté? Like if you paper towel them off first?
Hey, great video just inswad of garlic I put dill. So good. I hate vegetables but this was amazing! Thanks again!
She made me smile. I’ve gotta see what she’s up to!

Add some salt to the vegetables while you are cooking them and some Chili spice.
I do that.
Great and easy, thank you ms
Good job! very well done.
hey I just love your vidoes why arent you doing any more .....I just join in
I have a couple of pans I love cooking with but they don't have lids. When ever I need one for something like this, I use my pizza pan.
Great video
Steamed foil.
Add butter flip
Sauteed flip
Thanks a lot. Cheers from Spain
I love vegetables... all kinds XD the red ones, the green ones, the yellow ones ... all of them
may i ask what garlic paste you use? i am trying to get the same...
Did she just say "f****** delicious" @ 3:34 lol?
Omg i haven’t tried it yet, but you saved my suppers
Can you use garlic seasoning, like powdered garlic?
Do I need to use foil.. or can I use the lid
Gorgeous and I ain’t talkin about the veggies.
can i just use a regular lid that has a vent hole in it?
Your super cool and sweet like a cupcake in the breeze
We call that a frying pan, would it not be better go uses saucepan
I agree, I'm tired of throwing away vegetables that went bad.
Thank you - this so helpful⭐️
thank you, for the cooking lesson.
I bought a lot of frozen Veggies during the COVID-19. But came out soggy. Thanks for this video.
why do you put foil over the pan rather than a
lid?
I think some people just find it easier to throw away the foil when your done. I prefer a lid as well lol
im guessing her pan didnt came with one .lol
This was a very friendly family video until I heard this is "fuckin delicious" lol I loved it though
Why would you use a piece of tin foil instead of a lid
becky farmer maybe that’s all she had, maybe that pan didn’t have a lid??
She was steaming so the steam needs an escape. It won't escape as well with a fitted lid.
For us poor folk that have a million pans but no lids.
Lol I do this bc no lid
This was 5 years ago
good tip(s)🍴
Where did you go???
I will try this but You lost me at the canned garlic.. that stuff is awful😮.. fresh garlic + garlic masher
Thank you! And you are very cute
nice job..
