Mazda kills the design and quality interior plus lots of specs on the base model.The best in class.
It is a fact that mazda is positioning themselves as a more premium brand, but it's a bit misleading to say that it also reflects in their pricing. The thing is buying a mazda is like getting a luxury car without paying luxury amount. Funny thing is the honda civic top of the line is more expensive than mazda but with less features. Its like paying more for less. Thats not even counting in the yojin 3.
The two AC on the back, sunroof and a 360 degree cam are already a win win for me. Altis and Civic doesnt have those things. (except for altis because altis does have ac on the back) I really wish they made the screen bigger and the rim shouldve been a two tone rim. But all in all its gorgeous.

I wish they brought over the 2.5 awd variant but then again the cx30 will fill that gap for us. Also wish they have a mt variant even for the base models, i mean yeah only a few people would get those but if you've seen the reviews on the mt round the net its awesome as well. Btw hope you're doing better na sir. If ya get a chance do test the elite sportback for us. I've seen bobby ang from evo malaysia had a blast on the 1.5 and the 2.0. Have a nice day.

HansZel But it's like you're buying an appliance, you can't brag about it at all. Imagine telling your friends that you drive a Corolla? it would mean that you're boring as fuck. Yes, hindi naman basehan ng personality ang taste sa kotse but when there's clear better alternatives than your dear Corolla, would the fuel savings be worth it in the long run?
Eventually you will succumb to the regret of opting to save fuel money instead of having a bit of "yabang" or exuding good taste by choosing Mazda. But of course, you have spent money, you will now start to tell yourself that you don't regret that decision at all. Then maybe soon you'll start swamping sedan reviews about your Corolla and how it has a better fuel economy than the competition.
But deep inside? you're dead. You know that you're not having fun at all. Your 1.6m hybrid Corolla? no better than the electric fan or a/c you use at home.

Can anyone advise a noob - is the cheaper 'Elite' version not considered a good deal? Mostly Metro Manila use only. 2 adults, 2 toddlers max - but mostly just the driver, for daily use.
It's fine, just don't wade into flooded streets and you'll be okay.

I just bought one last week. So far so good, but the doors needs work-need more weight in them because the lightness feels a bit cheap.
What do you think so far about the car? I am getting one next week! And a silly question, I know it has Apple car play but can I play music through Bluetooth? Are you happy with the infotainment system? Thanks
@@krizz25 I think the car is severely underrated, but it's one of the best compact cars I've driven thus far; great gas mileage, very luxurious feel for the price, and the infotainment system reminds me of BMW's own system-and yes, you can still connect through Bluetooth if you choose not to connect through Android auto or apple carplay; Mazda chose to not display anything media-related to the instrument panels/odometer, meaning all media is only displayed through the infotainment system to minimize distraction so keep that in mind. I do recommend getting anything above the base model and the only complaint I have is that to keep the price down, the material is quite light too light in my opinion that the doors feels rather cheap when getting in and out, but that's minimal.
Next year however, Mazda plans to add a turbo option, which I'm quite disappointed they announced it too late for me.
Hey Jin, does yours look as glossy as the one in this video, in my opinion when car shopping the metallic looks a lot more dull in person. I feel as if they used some type of gloss shine or lighting to make it look so much more metallic in this video

@@krizz25 i can answer you. i have a 2L a month by now. u can play bluetooth, u can use voice command to call and for music. and i am happy that it's not a touch screen. i will never go back to touchscreen. great car,very silent inside,very confy..

What is it's class exactly? If the AWD version goes up against the Subaru Impreza I'd say it wins hands down..seems to me the Audi A3 Quattro is a more fair comparison, especially if out the door cost is considered, and I'd only choose the A3 if the cost was near the same, but it isnt. The FWD Mazda 3 wins versus the Toyota Corolla and non-turbo (but fully loaded) versions of the Hyundai Elantra and Kia Forte, i'd call it a draw versus a similarly equipped Honda Civic simply because Mazda didnt see fit to offer a turbo version of their 2.5l engine in this gen. If Mazda had offered their turbo engine with AWD and available manual transmission in the new 3 they could have eclipsed the competition, not to mention offer a serious alternative to the Golf R and Audi S3. We can hope Mazda execs can see this as well as we do, and if they really want to move upmarket..just do it. ;)

Toyota and Mazda are both Japanese brand, but i would go for Toyota in terms of reliability. If you mean durability, Toyotas are well known for running 400K-500K miles, probably not as common in Mazdas. Toyota is known for producing reliable vehicles particularly in the US. Mazda is cheaper because it is very cheap to fix, therefore this brings its dependability up. This is mainly because Mazda made with affordable and common parts, that are easy to source and cheap to replace.
