In the audience member video of the song "Honey I'm Good", Austin hits (and carries) a note that's astonishing.
He blows me away with this. He hits the same high notes that I do. WOOOOOW!!!
This is the Michael Bolton version of the song, hence why it's Austin leading.

Home Free just dropped the BEST THING EVER!!!! Brothers in Arms, I thought the harmonies could not get better than they were in Helplessly Hoping, but they DID!!!
the best part of home free is the clarity of the words and how every song they do gives emotion and meaning to the lyrics it is a no mumbling zone

Tim (the basso profundo) was after Austin to do this for awhile (years) and he was right Austin just rocked this one !!!
I like how the guys switch up who sings lead. So this was obviously an Austin lead...for more check out Crazy where he sings in the same key at Patsy Cline. And yes, check out his channel by all means but with the "My Maria" with Tim, listen all the way to the end....then you can hear Tim's speaking voice.😊

Hello sir, I'm a new viewer of ur channel just watching this after ur reaction to Endlessly Hoping. I'm a big fan of Home Free as well. Ty for your analysis and spot on comments. Enjoyed seeing ur emotional connection also. I reviewed ut list of reactions. I know u get a lot of requests but are you interested in reacting to a singer that has a range of over 6 octaves? Highest recorded note of a D8? Yes one note off the piano. This singer at the age of 5 years old was found to have perfect pitch and was accepted into his country's top music academy. He now sings in 12 languages and speaks 4 fluently. He will utterly amaze you and is considering by many to be the world's most talented singer. His name is Dimash Kudaibergen. Simply search Dimash then the song titles as his videos have millions of views. Recommend u start with a live 2017 performance of S.O.S. in the largest viewed talent show in the world from China called I Am Singer which is a competition of professional Chinese singers from different genres that compete for the title of Chinese singer of the year. Dimash was a first for the show as a special invitee unknown from Kazakhstan. This was his breakout to worldwide acclaim. Thank you for your reaction. Austin did a fabulous job of this classic song. Loved Percy Sledge's version, but this was taken to another level. And remember this was done during quarantine, so the guys weren't even together. The backing harmonies are great, along with Tim's bass. And Adam's vocal percussion is outstanding. This is why these guys are my favorite a cappella group.

Austin was a little on the shy side when they were on the Sing Off and the judges commented that he was a little hesitant to really go for the high notes. All of them have a three or four octave range. Tim has a five octave range. You need to watch their version of Ring of Fire from the show to see Tim's range, and Pretty Woman which shows Austin. Make sure you watch the ones from the Sing Off, which means they were singing before a live audience with no production or layering going on in the back ground.
I did a Part 1 and 2 of the Sing Off here recently :)

Chris, just like Home Free, Pentatonix also won thier season of the Sing Off, Home Free is more country themed and Pentatonix is more to the Pop side. Pentatonix has a massive fan base of over 19 million subs, over 6 billion views on UA-cam. Pentatonix just dropped this week thier latest video of "The Prayer". The bass singer has a 5 octave range. He can sing in the clouds and down in the dirt.
Austin has one set of pipes 🥰🙃‼️🔥. One thing he does 6 days a week…..meditates & breathing exercises…..it shows in his singing 🙃🔥‼️🥰. He takes care of himself ….. & boy, it shows 🥰🔥‼️ And, it didn’t hurt that his lovely lady was in the studio while he was singing it…(Amberly). Want to see her, go to his channel & catch “TAKE THE NIGHT OFF”…. It’s too cute !!!! He wrote it…& he’s got some Great solos on his channel 🙃🥰🔥‼️
I definitely subscribed to his channel about three days ago haha. Breathing exercises are soooooooo important, and often overlooked!
It is good to hear a tenor analyze the vocal placement of another tenor. Women especially can't distinguish between chest, mix, head and falsetto. It is a matter of color that reallly gives it away and it can be subtle since a tenor can do the same note in all four different techniques. Thanks for the analysis.

LOVED your reaction Christopher. Austin (lead here) and Adam (beatboxer) killed it. This was done during Covid so I liked the tv’s, so clever. Home Free did so many songs during Covid and it really helped me endure lock down. They have some funny ones from last year. Quarantine, Sea Shanty Medley, Sunday Best, they’re fun. Or if you want incredible harmonies try Helplessly Hoping, In the Blood, How Great Thou Art, One Man Band, Folsom Prison Blues. Anything is good and they don’t mind being silly.

Great song ... a little bit of history on the band if I remember correctly Austin ( the lead singer in this one) was a singer one a cruise line, Tim ( the bass) was a substitute school teacher, Rob ( the one with the full beard ) was a bar tender) the other 2 I'm not sure about but I think they all have found their true calling 👼🤗 also Austin's girlfriend was standing off camera for inspiration 😉

Austin has always been my favorite because of what he can do with his chest voice, his breath control, etc. He can hold notes as long as anyone and does at times in live shows where the guys don't come in and he looks back and forth at them and uses his arms like come on guys! It's so funny. Have you listened to some of his solo work this year? Incredible stuff. And how about Home Free live with Austin showing off his classical training on Les Miserables, Bring Him Home? Oh man!!! Hope you've had a chance to hear him do that one. Take care!

It's easy to overlook the exceptional support given by the rest of HF, particularly when you consider that (because of Covid) everyone's part was recorded individually. Adam Rupp does some very creative work here as well.

New sub here, here for the Home Free reactions first and foremost! Austin's a beast. The genuine warmth and soul deep, unconditional love be brings forth here is due to his muse - the gorgeous, funny, smart and amazing Amberly - his girlfriend. It floors everyone.
Since I'm new here I haven't yet checked out your playlist, but just in case you haven't yet reacted to any of Austin's solo stuff he's got a whole bunch of both covers and originals on his solo channel. The covers are simply performed while the originals are more produced. All of them fantastic on their own way. His cover of Tears in Heaven or Danny Boy might just move it tears, while Signed, Sealed, Delivered will make you smile and get up and dance. I would see your reactions to some of them.
As for Home Free, you can't go wrong, and their latest release, their cover of Dire Straits' Brothers in Arms might hit you on the feels in a different way.

I can't remember if I've commented on this video before - and I'm too lazy to page through all the comments, so.... I love your reaction to this. And the technical explanations you added. Is technical even the right term? I never liked the Percy Sledge original or the Michael Bolton cover. Still don't like the song much, but I've got to admire all the talent on display. Not just Austin, but Adam's vocal percussion and the backing vocals. Kudos to all the guys for doing this fabulous job at separate sites during quarantine. Not to mention the producer and the video person who had to stitch it all together seamlessly. I think there might have to be a whole pan of biscuits awarded here. With butter and honey.
