Home Free is the best a cappella group on the planet. This is just a small taste….it’s one heck of a rabbit hole, but so much fun. Check out Unchained Melody, Ring of Fire, In the Blood, How Great Thou Art, Brothers in Arms, Mayday, The Butts Remix, Man of Constant Sorrow. That should get you started. There is so much more.
You will never go wrong with Home Free. I believe their fans refer to themselves as home fries.🤷🏻♀️ Anyway, I love everything about them from their obvious, amazing talent, to their sense of humor to their ability to do any genre\style of music. They make it there own, and it’s always FIRE!
Home free is absolutely amazing. They don't do covers, they do upgrades. And that is one very, very deep rabbit hole my friend. But so entertaining and enjoyable. They do everything from "Do you hear what I hear" for Christmas, to Boyz to Men "End of the Road" and they never disappoint.
The lead singer here, Austin Brown, has a powerful solo version of “Unchained Melody” with just guitar accompaniment. The video is just the two guys in a living room. The whole Home Free group also recorded a version, harkening back to it’s origin in a 1950’s film called ‘Unchained’. And the video tells more of a story. Thanks for reacting.
You might appreciate Austin’s recent song “Hers Ain’t Mine”, though there is no video yet. Or Home Free’s “Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget” which has a fun video from several years back. They have lots of very romantic songs. These two are tongue-in-cheek.
I love Home Free. Percy Sledge did the original. Michael Bolton's version was a cover too. I've been telling you to check out Home Free. 😂 The kids should always come first in a relationship. For both people. Until they're grown.
Caution: Home Free is highly addictive! Three of them are song writers so there are lots of originals as well as covers. They sing (and write) everything from gospel to goofy. I loved the late Percy Sledge's 1966 original and I think Home Free does it more than justice. BTW, they don't have a lead singer - it depends on the song which one of them sings lead on it. Fall down the Home Free rabbit hole - it's a great trip!
This video was done during lockdown, so they couldn't perform together. The lead singer Austin Brown performed this with his lady (now his wife) in the room with him- that's who he is singing to. I hope that you will react to more Home Free. I think that you would make a good Home Fry!
There are a couple of recent tik tok videos where Austin & Amberly talk about being married. That's what I'm going by. Before going to Europe?@@sherryarflin726
This was filmed during the Quarantine. The Guys in the back round were in studios they made in their homes. The Guy you are saying is looking so sexy. That is Austin and he was the only one in a regular studio and his woman, Amberly was there with him and he was singing to her. He is so crazy in love with her.
Austin did sing lead in this but he’s not the lead singer. They all take the lead depending on who’s best for it or if it’s something they personally want to do. Meet Austin Brown 1st Tenor, Rob Lundquist 2nd Tenor, Tim Foust Bass/ Baritone who has a five octave range that will blow you away, Adam Chance also known as “Chance” Baritone, also what he considers as low tenor and last but certainly not least. Adam Rupp major bad ass beatboxer plus vocals.
My favorite A cappella group! Next one by them cover of Listen to the Music, all their covers are fire! Originals are too, check out newest one Playing with Fire and live anything!
You are a young man, I am an old woman, I remember when Percy Sledge came out with this song and good night nurse did we dance and fall in "semi" love to this song. You should hear Tim Foust hit it on Marvin Gayes "Let's get it on" mash up with Ed Sheerans till we're 70. Oh and WELCOME to the world of the HOME FRIES.
Think this was made even better by him….he had his lovely lady …Amberly, in the studio when he was singing this…..to Her….of course 💗🔥💗❣️💗🔥💗…&, she’s a darling for sure, & he’s so in love with her 💗🔥💗
New subscriber. Great reaction, too! I love it when people discover Home Free. They are a freakishly talented group of fellas that excel in all music genres. They can make you laugh sometimes, they can make you cry sometimes but they always impress. Here's a cheat sheet on the group: Adam Rupp, co-founder of HF and the awesome beatboxer. Tim Foust, bass. He has a five-octave range. Rob Lundquist (glasses and beard) Tenor Harmony. Austin Brown, Lead Tenor. Adam Chance, Baritone ( goes by Chance). Chance replaced Chris Rupp (co-founder) who left in 2016. Take Me Home Country Roads is phenomenal but you might also want to check out Dreamer, End Of The Road, One Man Band, American Pie featuring Don McLean, I Swear, Blue Ain't Your Color, Dive Bar Saints, The Driver, Crazy and Folsom Prison Blues. For some funny ones: Butts Medley, All About That Bass, Champagne Taste, Hillbilly Bone and Ray Stevens' Mississippi Squirrel Revival. For some serious ones: How Great Thou Art, Go Rest High On That Mountain. When you are familiar with all the boys and their vocal roles, do Mayday. And last but not least, Brothers In Arms. It is haunting and beautiful. They have recently released several new songs that you will want to check out. Unchained Melody, Listen to the Music, Brother and Stargazer Lilies trilogy: Give Me A Sign, Stargazer Lilies and Mr. ...Their latest releases are Might As Well Be Me, Playing With Fire and Remember My Name. To switch it up..try Two Country Singers try singing Opera. Adam Chance just wrote the theme song to Ubisoft's new Pirate themed video game, Skull and Bones and Home Free performs it. Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole!
Michael covered this song. Percy Sledge was the original singer and writer of this song. The Home Free rabbit hole is deep. Withthese guys its either perfection or nothing.
You're bang on with married couple life being with my wife 20years you just respect each other that it how hard is that too many egos that what it it shame
Austin (lead here) and Adam (beatboxer) killed it. This was during Covid so I thought the use of tvs was clever. Good reaction! Home Free is the real deal. Try Boyz II Men version of End of the Road.
Austin did a fabulous job of this classic song. Loved Percy Sledge's version, but this was taken to another level. I think it is also better than Michael Bolton's version. And remember this was done during quarantine, so the guys weren't even together. The backing harmonies are great, along with Tim's bass. And Adam's vocal percussion is outstanding. Drummers have often commented on just how realistic his sound is. This is why these guys are my favorite a cappella group.
Welcome to the rabbit hole, my friend. I love this version - and I'm old enough to remember Percy Sledge's version (I was 11). I love this song, but my personal favorite is "Go Rest High Upon That Mountain." Sueby 1962 in the comments has given a very good list, although there is so much more. HOME FRIES - tell your friends about Ray - pass the word! Something you've never heard? Adam Rupp's 10 minute beatbox drum solo. The man is phenomenal - and probably an alien. LOL
Austin so overflowed Michael Bolton's shoes, he needed them 4 sizes bigger. Bolton does some good music, but this was never a good song for him, IMHO. He always sounded strained and angry. Percy's version was a lament about how love treated a man, but Austin's is a song of joy. I'm sure that it helped that he had found the love of his life not too long before this was recorded. The background vocals and the percussion just lift it even higher.
Percey Sledge was the original singer. They way Home Free upgraded this would have made him proud. Home Free is just that good. New sub because of Home Free. Welcome to the "rabbit hole" known as Home Free. Hold on & enjoy the ride. Keep reacting to HF & us "home fries" will swarm.
Since you're a fan of Elvis & now Home Free, you might want to check out Tim Foust's (bass for Home Free) cover of "Can't Help Falling in Love". It's from an old album of his and the video is just an image of his album cover, but it's my favorite version of the song. Tim has a 5 octave range. He also has a few songs from his solo doo wop album on his YT channel that you might like. As far as Home Free, I think you'll enjoy their covers of "End of the Road", "Unchained Melody", and "Man of Constant Sorrow".
Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole. They are so very awesome. Yes, all the sounds you hear come out of their mouths. They do different genres. Check out their cover of End of The Road by Boyz II Men, Listen to The Music by the Doobies Brothers and so many more they also have a lot of original songs. Us fans are called Home Fries. You will be too very soon. Love your reaction!
Welcome to Home Free. We that like them are known as Home Fries. Listen to any and all of their songs. just listen to Mayday later on down the road. Get to know them well before Mayday. I would suggest Man of Constant Sorrow.
Yes, Austin Brown nailed it. He gives himself completely here and also plays very well with the cameras. The great harmonies, deep bass and the unbelievably freaking good beatboxing/vocal percussion/vocal sounds finish it all off for me. I think it sounds perfect because of all the different beautiful voices. I grew up performing Percy Sledge which I already loved. Then came Michael Bolton's performance where I couldn't say for sure if it was better or not. But this one from Home Free certainly is. Home Free is amazing! All five have different but great voices. The best beatboxer and the best harmony Suggestion: Man Of Constant Sorrow End Of The Road Ring Of Fire Listen To The Music Butts Remix Castle Of The Hill A Home Fry from the Netherlands❤
What is truly amazing is that this was done during lockdown and they were scattered across the country when this was recorded. That’s why they’re on the video screens. How do they sound so good
I left home for my children's dad....and they didn't speak to me for many years. Didn't come around until I was about to have my 3rd child. While Austin was singing this, his lady was in the studio....so he was looking at her when he was singing. They just got married.
Austin killed this song with his magnificent voice and Adam killed it with the beat. Austin is singing to his woman during recording. Guys were in their recording due to covid. Great harmonies. Percy Sledge made this song famous in 1966. You definitely must react to End Of The Road, Rob kills it. Home Free won the sing off in 2013 and have been moving on up every since. They even recorded songs with Kenny Roger's, Oak Ridge Boys and performed at the Grand Old Opry. Just returned from European total was canceled when covid pandemic occurred. They have even performed in Canada, and Australia.
Yes, welcome to Home Free, all acapella, no instruments at all. Masters of all musical genres. They won the 4th season of the Sing Off in 2013. Their covers are upgrades, their medleys are brilliant, their collaborations with the original artists are inspirational, and their original songs are masterpieces. Within this 5 man vocal band you have 5 tenors, 5 beat boxers, and 2 bass-baritones. All of them can sing lead and they choose depending on whose voice best fits the song. They can do just about anything and they continue to grow and improve, yet they remain so humble. When they have featured guest artist, they support and allow their featured artists to shine. Several of them have their own channels and do some solo work. And just for fun Rob and Austin sing Opera. What else can I say? Their catalogue of work is quite large and continues to grow. You are in for an exciting journey and the Home Fries will be there for you all the way.
Great Reaction !! The group started in 2001 by brothers Chris and Adam Rupp They are the only country A Capella ( all vocals no instruments)group but they are honestly do much more than just country music they can sing any genre and they do They won The Sing Off season 4 2013 that's where they became very popular. Fans of Home Free are known as Home Fries and are very loyal to the guys. Adam Rupp: Beatboxer Extraordinaire -Tenor can make any sound imaginable (A whole drum kit, harmonica (his Nomonica we call it )plane flyovers, trains, castanets, bugs ,birds etc).Co founder from Mankato Minnesota. Rob Lundquist :Lead tenor(beard and glasses) very soulful voice and master whistler from Minneapolis,Minnesota Tim Foust :Bass (had long dark hair now short with grey ) 5+ octave range can go so low he blows speakers or sky high from Nederland,Texas Austin.Brown:High Tenor ( Long wavy hair ) voice of an angel from Tifton Georgia. Adam Chance(Aka Chance):Baritone/Bass deep, rich voice(Does the juice harp sound in Man Of Constant Sorrow) has short dark hair short beard from Baldwin County,Alabama.Replaced Chris Rupp ( Adams Brother and co founder in 2016) They have collaborated with many singers and legends Don McLean:American Pie Oak Ridge Boys:Elvira Kenny Rodgers:Children Go Where I Send Thee (Please watch the end message) Billy Gilman:One Voice Alabama:Christmas In Dixie Mark Wills:Don’t Laugh At Me ( important message at the end ) Lee Greenwood & US Airforce Band:God Bless The USA Brooke Eden:Delta Dawn Travis Collins & Amy Sheppard: The Horses Any many more. They have 3 amazing songwriters in the group Tim,Austin and Chance So they have a very large playlist of covers and Original songs Go Rest High On That Mountain End of the Road: Boyz 2 Men cover Helplessly Hoping (5 part harmony) Unchained Melody Listen To The Music Can’t Outrun You One Man Band Brothers In Arms Stargazer Trilogy( All Originals written by Austin) Give Me A Sign ( Chapter 1) Stargazer Lilies( Chapter 2) MR (Chapter 3) Skull And Bones ( original written by Chance for Ubisoft new video game Skull And Bones) Might As Well Be Me ( Original) Playing With Fire ( Original) Remember My Name (Original) Mayday(DON’T WATCH TILL YOU ARE VERY FAMILIAR WITH THE GROUP AND THEIR RANGES ) There's not a song that you pick from their 300+ catalog that is bad I haven't found one yet. They are just funny, down to earth, humble nice guys. They are the best A Cappella group there is Sorry for the long read 🍟😊
I highly suggest reacting to their cover of 'End of the Road' by Boys || Men,as well as their 'Butts Remix ' melody!! Those 2 are my ABSOLUTE favs 😍 The next two songs,is #3 & 4 on my favs list, but I feel a lot of reactors usually sleep on em;simply because they're generally overlooked&rarely considered as a"fans favorite" etc etc 😆 #3- 'Everybody Walkn' this Land' #4- 'Hillbilly Bone' (cover) WELCOME to the rabbit hole of HOME FREE😂😂😊
Great reaction the original song was written and composed by Calvin Lewis and Andrew Wright and first recorded by Percy Sledge in 1966. Many people have covered this song but Home Free upgrades it just keep checking out these guys not a loser in their entire catalog.
I love your reactions the best reactor in the world you make my day you turn a bad day in to a good day keep doing what you do because are the best ❤❤❤❤
Sang it Austin and yes I said sang not sing lol. I got to see Home Free live back in 2019. Truly amazing. Loved the reaction Ray. Keep the Home Free reactions coming. My favorites, The Butt's Remix, Love Train, Unchained Melody, well crap let's just put it this way, Home Free doesn't have a bad song. Oh and I almost forgot, Home Free End Of the Road (Boy's To Men Cover)
So glad you got to these guys. Loved your Elvis journey, your honesty and insights. Get ready. This is another rabbit hole that will be so satisfying. I'd suggest starting with their cover of End of the Road, (yep believe it.), best arrangement: Do you hear what i hear. (the xmas song), best cover: Mayday (save for later), funniest" Butts remix. My faves: one man band, man of constant sorrow & Bless this broken road . Then there is their solo work. Do enjoy. Oh and my vote it their cover over michael bolton's cover of the song. (original by Percy Sledge a close second.)
Welcome to the most amazing a capella group out there.. well thats my opinion! You will soon be a Home Fry.. thats what they call us fans. Cant wait to see you do more. I luv " let the music play" "Mayday" and "End of the road" oh who am I kidding I luv everything they do!
AMEN!!! Love how you explained the feeling of true love from both perspectives. It's definitely a respect thing, me and my husband have been together for 7 yrs now and we both have a mutual understanding that our children always come first though. New sub here, love the reactions. ❤❤❤❤❤
Home Free is the best and your reaction was great ("Liked" and I'm subscribed). Here are a few suggestions: "End of the Road" (Boyz2Men cover); "Hillbilly Bone" (hilarious, country funk cover of a Blake Shelton song), "Man of Constant Sorrows" (incredible swamp/blues cover from the film "Brother, Where Art Thou"), "Blue Ain't Your Color" (doo-wop Temptations vibe); "Butts Remix" (hilarious medley of pop butt songs). Looking forward to more of your reactions to this amazingly versatile group.
hi ray you need to check out the original singer of this song he is the legendary PERCY SLEDGE , react to the live version, he had several hits that i know you will love, he old school, please dont let him pass you by, love your channel mr. relvis
I respect Percy Sledge's version as the original; nice presentation but lacks warmth (IMHO). Michael Bolton's is the version I've had on my playlist for decades. But--Home Free's version? Austin's high notes are every bit as amazing as the others. And ALL completely acapella?!? With their harmonies and Adam's vocal percussion too?!? No solo act is ever going to best their version as far as I'm concerned. Theirs is now what plays on my regular playlist. In my opinion, Home Free OWNS this song for me now❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️
Austin selling the weed on this one! He has a big credible voice!! Percy sledge sang this one before Michael Bolton… Everyone has an awesome job seeing this! Nice reaction
Never really liked this song. Still don't care for it, but Home Free absolutely killed it. Amazing backing vocals, percussion perfection and Austin just flying off into the stratosphere like it was nothing. Hope you venture further into their amazingly varied catalog.
Dear Friend - you are welcome! I discovered Home Free myself only a few months ago, and have found soooo much good music - some new, some covers, all fire. I'd suggested Home Free to Ray a month to 6 weeks ago, and I hope he'll join us for the ride.
@@Kathryne0816 thank you so much my friend for replying, I'm grateful to you and Ray for this amazing reaction. I'm here for it!!!! #vibegang for life.
And BTW - you've never heard of Home Free, because for some stupid shit reason, radio won't play acapella groups. And Home Free bought themselves out of their recording contract, and is an indie group.
So happy you've fallen into this rabbit hole! I mean, I never knew how dark this song actually was until I heard HF's version. Still a love song but....
My man comes before my family but not before my child and is equal to my pet. We are going on 17 years. We know and are comfortable with where we stand with each other. He has done some really dumb stuff but I will go down burning to defend my husband even when I completely disagree with him.
Home Free is the best a cappella group on the planet. This is just a small taste….it’s one heck of a rabbit hole, but so much fun. They have lots of very romantic songs. These two are tongue-in-cheek.
I love Home Free. Percy Sledge did the original. Michael Bolton's version was a cover too. I've been telling you to check out Home Free. 😂

you check Folsom prison, blues covered by home free, but it’s by Johnny Cash

U gotta do man of constant sorrow brother. It will blow your mind
This song was made for Austin. Love all the back up harmonies and the beatboxing.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
♥ Home Fries in the house! I hope you do more Home Free. Man of Constant Sorrow is a popular one and In the Blood is my personal favorite.
In the Blood is wonderful. So is their cover of Ed Sheerans' "Castle on the Hill." You really can't go wrong with Home Free!

Home Free is amazing!! You can’t go wrong with any song you react to. Please react to more Home Free.
Their covers of "Man in constant sorrow" and "The Gambler" are definitely worth checking out too!
This is the only remake that I love. Percy Sledge would definitely approve of this remake, I believe.

Oh and ADAM RUPP the beat boxer is incredible
It's ok, alot of reactors have a man crush on Austin after seeing this 😂😂❤ loved your reaction ❤ Subscribed for Home Free ❤

Their video Man of constant sorrow, absolutely amazing
A woman is just like a job, if you lose either one you find another a keep on keepin on 😊
He was looking like that because his girlfriend was in the studio with him. Percy Sledge was the first to record this in 1966,

They even recorded songs with Kenny Roger's, Oak Ridge Boys and performed at the Grand Old Opry. Just returned from European total was canceled when covid pandemic occurred. They have even performed in Canada, and Australia.
Glad u tried these guys Ray they harmonies like no other and do another of styles enjoyed
New subscriber , Are you ready for this rabbit hole⁉️ it's amazing ‼️
You are comical! Can’t wait to see ya react to the Butts Remix :) Who are you talking to off-camera?
Michael Bolton covered the original which was done by Percy Sledge in the mid 1960's I lovr Homefree's version.

Sorry for the long read 🍟😊
OMG! 😂😂😂 You absolutely make my day! Love your reactions!
Love Home Free ❤
I highly suggest reacting to their cover of 'End of the Road' by Boys || Men,as well as their 'Butts Remix ' melody!! Those 2 are my ABSOLUTE favs 😍 The next two songs,is #3 & 4 on my favs list, but I feel a lot of reactors usually sleep on em;simply because they're generally overlooked&rarely considered as a"fans favorite" etc etc 😆
#3- 'Everybody Walkn' this Land'
#4- 'Hillbilly Bone' (cover)
WELCOME to the rabbit hole of HOME FREE😂😂😊
Love your reaction to this song! Home Free has a very deep and wide rabbit hole to fall in. Enjoy my brother, you are the best and my favorite!
Oh, this is going to be fun!!!! Definitely gotta do more Home Free! 😂❤😊
Thank so much for the Home Free reaction, it is so appreciated! I hit subscribe and really look forward your Home Free journey!🤗❤️
BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!! Great request!!!!......always love your great words of wisdom..thank you Ray ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Im so glad i found you through REN. You sir are truly entertaining and i thank you😂🎉. This was great 👍
Home Free is always great.
Just because I'm that person, Michael Bolton covered this song , the original singer was Percy Sledge.
In my opinion, Home Free OWNS this song for me now❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️
Love your vibes and your comments! And this Home Fry loves Home Free! New sub. Thank you for reacting to our guys!
You will be going down the rabbit hole with Home Free.
Home free - end of the road, boys 2 Men cover 🔥🔥🔥🔥
You have me dying laughing here in bed at almost 2am! 😂😂😂 Love your channel! ❤️
Great wonderful fantastic reaction. ❤❤❤❤
Thank you sir
I am straight but I’m right with you big man. Pretty mf
Subbed for more Home Free. Great reaction! ❤
Women we have to step up after that! Love it
I think its a Percy Sledge song. Beautifully sang by alot, but Austin/Homefree he just tops it ALL THE WAY OFF lol ❤❤❤
Someone tell Ms Pope that I said thank you for this, Ray this was great, much love and appreciation from Kentucky ❤️🙏❤️🇺🇸
Lmao “he got me moist”. Brother i feel ya in that
I believe Percy Sledge sung this years before Michael Bolton
Actually, Micheal Bolton covered the original, by Percy Sledge. You need to listen to that. It is phenomenal.
Check out Percy
Sledge singing this. Pure melt
Thank you
Two songs for you....End of the Road....and The Butts Medley.😊
You are there best my brother , always got me rolling on the floor
So happy you've fallen into this rabbit hole! I mean, I never knew how dark this song actually was until I heard HF's version. Still a love song but....
You mentioned Michael Bolton, but did you know it was Percy Sledge that sang it first.....another great not known
My man comes before my family but not before my child and is equal to my pet. We are going on 17 years. We know and are comfortable with where we stand with each other. He has done some really dumb stuff but I will go down burning to defend my husband even when I completely disagree with him.
