@The Gentrified Gentleman does that change the service of humanitarianism?
Wow peeps ! You don't have to donate a damn penny ! No worries your boy Biden will take care of y'all ! This guy can shoot way above my skill level. Still appreciate his input ! IMHO pick yourself a pistol that fits your hand and your budget easy to field strip , shoot it regularly and enjoy ! Simple as that

How the Stoeger edged out the Walther Creed (with its nice trigger) is beyond me
He says Ruger American, and yet the text and the gun shown are a Ruger Security 9. Nice gun, but the American is about $400-$430, the Security 9 is about $299.

Actually agree with the No. 1 pick as the [used] Glock 19/17 and M&P9, though these pistols are available at that price (especially now) only if you're fortunate or patient. I've been a fan of the M&P9 for years (I own 5 of them), and think he should have identified it as a Smith & Wesson product. 😉 Not everybody reading this might know that. If you happen to be a lefty, or like more ergonomic designs, the M&P should be your first choice.
I'm newly on social security. lost our home and not in the greatest neighborhoods now. I am looking for a gun to protect my wife and myself, your budget videos are helping me narrow down my choices. thank you so much.
Dang. What a great presentation. Fast paced, concise. Well spoken. The 17 minutes flew by. Really well done, and I learned a lot. Excellent job.

I absolutely enjoyed this video.
And he's an excellent shot
I am a former police officer and weapons trainer and I have carried for about 40 years. I carried a S&W J frames until about two years ago. I bought a Taurus G2C for $189.00 from Bud's. I was surprised by it it fed every round of junk ammo I fed it. I had two t stoppages of of about 400 rdf and it was the ammo not the Taurus G-2C. My former brother in law was a cop in Cleveland from 1968 to 2007 and he carry's a Taurus G2-C also. He was who told me about it to start with. and I can recommend it / Remember if use have to use your CCW the police will take it and you may never see it again even if you are cleared depending on what jurisdiction you are in , So you can lose a $200.00 Taurus or a $700.00 Glock it is your choice. .
Agree 100%, ..I like mine too. And they are excellent for a very reasonable price, good shooter, no problems with mine whatsoever, and if you break it..they'll fix it..or for a few bucks buy a new one!
Cleared and you don’t return the persons firearm, that’s bullshit. Return people’s property you tyrants.
Thank you old timer (and I call you that with the utmost respect) for this wonderful piece of advice.
That's my thinking I have one and it's been very reliable. You need to have a good hold on it if some limp wrists the gun it won't run right.
I’m so glad you wrote that! I have so many, always looking for that “perfect” one…I have pretty much all the most common brands, yet my favorite that I keep coming back to is the underrated g2c! It’s hands-down my favorite, most accurate and most reliable weapon…I got mine on sale several years ago, $175, lol, also Bud’s(-:…but I’ve added many upgrades to it, after realizing how fantastic it was!
I own a g2 and its funny to hear people, especially glock owners, bad mouth the taurus because its cheap.i love my taurus g2 and have fired over 2000 rounds through it without a single failure.good to see an honest review by someone who knows what he's talking about
But Glock is "perfection" only after you put several hundred dollars in a pit ol that should run $300 in the 1st place. 😂😂😂
Scott Romero amen brother!
It's not really because it's cheap - I own a lot of budget handguns from different manufacturers that are reliable and just amazing. It's because historically Taurus has had a horrible reputation for quality. I've owned two Taurus handguns and both of them had issues that required multiple returns to the factory for repairs. They may be quality guns now, but they weren't always and it's hard to overcome that stigma.
I've had two Taurus 9mm guns. The pt709 and an older full size model. They both shot very well and were both accurate. Unfortunately both of them had jamming issues within the first 500 rounds. If a gun jams more than once it's gone from my collection. Neither of my glocks (27/26) have ever jammed on me. The 27 is over 15 yrs old and I've put thousands of rounds through it. I did just order a new recoil spring as someone suggested should be replaced just because of age and use. The 26 only has a couple hundred rounds through it so far and so far so good.
@@grinningDEATH76 from what Ive heard the newer taurus semi autos have come a long way from previous versions and think that's why they still get a bad rap, that and they don't have a name like glock.my taurus g2 I got on sale for $199 and have well over 2000 rounds through it and not on ff or fe.i love how it shoots,I love the trigger and love just how it feels in my hand
I purchased a Taurus G3, based on a number of things but your review was a big part of it. I recently took it to the range after taking delivery cleaning and lubing it, and I fired several different kinds of ammo through it, CCI, Remington and Tulammo and its a pretty great gun. No failures in the first 100+ rounds. I am quite pleased with it. Thanks for doing what you do man, much appreciated.
Did u add anything to your G3 I'm leaning towards the G3 I know there is a rail to add a light or laser. But have u added sight on top
Taurus G2C for me, best price for single mom on a budget, perfect grip, easy recoil, safety makes it pretty much dummy-proof, good capacity, and came with extra magazine. No malfunctions or issues.

I have a G2C 9mm also and absolutely love it. It goes where I go. I trust my life on it
How much
@@chrissherrill790 I paid $265 out the door for mine
@@randylangton1932 how long has that been?
I bought a Taurus G3 2 months ago. I am very impressed with it. It shoots well, I have had no malfunctions, and it feeds whatever ammo I give it. It is very comparable to a Glock 19 in size.
Same here I EDC G3Turo no issues what so ever granted I paid 445$ for mine. It came with all mounting plates for different sights and 2 mags 15-17
I love Taurus. I have damn near every caliber they offer. Really like the 1911s they have. I would put any of my Taurus' up against almost any high priced "name brand" people dog Taurus but not people that have shot one. I bought my son a G2C and feel completely at peace he will be able to defend himself without failure if he needs to. It's also compact and feels good. Definitely shoots good and reliable.
Do u have a link
@@noahstrine9808 Google it. Man I just saw the g2c for 219$ today. It's a great 9mm. It's typically just under 300 but guns and ammo are dropping in price daily. I've bought 9 guns in the past 2 weeks. Just hanging onto them until the price skyrockets then gonna sell em.
Be careful, ATF is coming for you!!!
I like how you stated your qualifications to speak on this matter right away, I think that was crucial to my interest in this video. Nice work.
We bought a used Taurus G3, Never disappointed! Works great and easy to use!
My son is buying his first handgun this weekend. He said he wants a 1911. I got a little choked up. I've never been so proud of him.
Or he could buy a modern gun -- Glock, S&W M&P, or Canik -- with better engineering, much lighter weight thanks to polymer. I used to own two steel 1911s but they are a bear to carry.
I'm so glad to see a Brazilian Taurus product being reviewed and praised by highly respected gun enthusiast. Thank you Honest Outlaw
Agreed

Made in USA

If you live near Atlanta, Glock will do a "safety inspection" on a new-to-you used gun. I took mine up there, and the armorer fixed several prior "fixes" and replaced two pages' worth of parts - because it was a very early gen 4 model which still had a bunch of gen 3 parts. All for the low, low price of $0 to me. Now THAT's customer service.

Glock only or any gun?
the taurus g3 is an amazing weapon that i carry every single day, not a single malfunction and counting. they have made strides on their G series pistols. i highly recommend.
How is the recoil? I'm looking for a good everyday carry. I'm new to carrying and I don't want a lot of kick
@@braddenrowley5896 recoil is no problem with this weapon...for me personally at least, It's quite manageable.
I personally have never owned a bad Taurus pistol, and the raging bull 44 magnum is a great pistol , have owned them and smith and Wesson 44 pistols and the Taurus will shoot along side the more expensive smith all day long!

I've had my eye on the Taurus G3 for a while now. You are the third or fourth channel that lists it in a top 5 position. Thank You!
I have the Taurus G3. You won’t be disappointed. Shoots great.
I have a TP9V2. They quit making them but never had a single problem with mine. Love it.
I'm a huge Glock fan, have owned and do own several and love them...Having said that my EDC for two years is my G2C. I've put over 2k rounds through it without a single malfunction. It's "just right" for me. Glad it made your list so high.

The shooting in the first 2 minutes of this video is absolutely stellar! Great job man!
i was like wow did he hit all the targets?
I love my G2C. I bought it at Academy for $250. It had a laser put on it for that 250. No failed shots after 300 rounds. It shoots clean and I teach my son to shoot with it too. I'd buy a second one too.
So best New gun on the list is the G3...
Glad you agree. That's what I bought the wife for home defense since I work graveyard. And the double action trigger which you didn't mention in this particular video was a key selling point.
I asked her(as she's raving about the M&P 9EZ), "if a bad guy breaks in, and you pull the trigger and it goes 'click' what are you gonna do?" And when she said, "pull the trigger again," I knew it had to be a G2C or a G3. She preferred the larger grip of the G3, so that's what she has in the nightstand to protect her and the kids when I work nights.
my wife has the same.
Wish I could get one but I’m in California
Nice. I have a GP100 for home duty. No need for the wife to worry about mag failure. Big. Heavy. Pull the trigger. No tap rack drills.
Taurus G3C was my first ever gun I bought and a lot of that is due to this review. Your reviews are truly honest and to the point and I'm very glad to have found and subscribed.
I have a Taurus G3C and I love it. I was glad to see it made #2 on the list.
i love my g3 so much. the right size, the right amount of capacity and very affordable. same with the g2c
👊🤓
Big ups for supporting your local shelter. Speaks volumes.
Good information, your experience on the range is all the credentials i need. Thank you!
Another difference between the Taurus G3's and the G2's is the G3 have metal sights (which are surprisingly good). I've owned several G2's and now a G3 and these things eat the worst cheapo ammo with no problems, they almost never jam. For me, this is all the pistol I need and shoots just as good as anything else I've ever fired so I would never pay 3 or 4 times as much just for the sake of a name.
They call it the Taurus for a reason. It's because the bad guys all say "Man, he really Taurus a new one!"
Lol
😂🤣
That's a good one
Buying one today
What about a 945 Taurus and about what’s the average cost of one?
I’ve had my Taurus G2C for over a year with 500+ rounds through it and I haven’t had any issues with it! Only thing I’ve noticed is a slight rattle of the trigger system, but not that bad. I love the gun and I trust my life with it. It’s my EDC and part of my home defense set up.
Same! Paired it with a kydex iwb holster and rubber grip.
This is an absolute wonderful review. Thank-you for all that you do for the average everyday person. As a retired person I can only afford a weapon under $300. I personally carry the Taurus TH-9 and the TH-9c everyday, Love my hammer fired weapons. Once again, thank-you for all that you do for all of us.
I love my th9 it’s a great gun and will fire every type of ammo I fire in it.
What website do you go to order yours?
troysterdamus leonitis I order from bass pro or sportsman warehouse!!
Taurus has come a long way. I've always liked their styling and they seem to fit me better than most. It's good to see them on a Top 5 list.
I actually have a Taurus PT111G2, so I was impressed that it at least got a mention in your video.
Alright. Im only 60 seconds into this video, and I'm subscribing. You've already sold me on your channel. You explained why youre voicing the opinions you are, why you have sufficient experience/knowledge to do so, and all while maintaining a HUMBLE, and respectful deliverance. I usually dont subscribe to "big" channels with about half a million subscribers, but this guy deserves the support. (Not that I think I'm supporting much, I just wanted to articulate how impressed I was with that intro, really seems to set the tone.) I know the owner of this channel most likely wont see this comment, so I'm mostly just typing this to remind other viewers to subscribe/like the channel, because this guy seems chill.

Thanks Honest Outlaw! This video confirmed my decision on the Taurus G3 that is available local for $269. With the run on handguns, I think that price is still great.

@@richarddees5883 smh
I work in armed security, and I carry the Taurus G3 on my hip, and the G2c on my ankle. Awesome video, as usual!!
I own a lot of guns, and my issue with used guns isn’t that I’m really worried about reliability. It is that guns hold their value so well that I can typically get a brand new gun for less than $100 more than I can get a used gun. Why not spend the extra $100 and have something you know is new and working.
Depends on the popularity of the gun. Take the Glock 22, for example- you can find police trade ins for half the price of a new one, because so many police are trading them in, and nobody’s buying .40 guns right now.
Fmamarksman good example. Often with very low round count as well. Great buy and even with the price premium for ammo over 9mm you are basically being so discounted on the price that until you get into the 3-4,000rd count the ammo price isn’t an issue.
Some people use that extra money on holsters or sights!
I bought both a G43 and G19 used and the 19 had the $100 night sights on it that I would've had to put on it if I did buy it new.
So I got a G19 with nights and a $100 holster for the price of a new G19.
I bought my gen 3 glock 23 as a leo trade in for 280. It has some holster wear but it shoots very well. I also got my gen 1 m&p "5" barrel in 45acp for 270 as a leo trade in and its literally like no one ever shot it
Well if u have many firearms i think its good to have a few new great quality guns that will last ya
Love my M&P 40, bought it used. My biggest factor in buying was after empty mag is dropped, an a new full mag is inserted it auto chambers.

😎😎
I have to admit generally I am not impressed with Taurus at all but the G3 is a damn good gun for the money
My edc is the Tarus G2C. 1) If I drop it, damage it, lose or destroy it, I’ll just get another one with no tears shed. 3) Over 1,000 rounds with no failures. 4) One cool thing (and the way I carry), is you can disassemble, drop a round in the chamber, put the barrel back in the slide, gently press the muzzle down on a table until the extractor snaps past the rim of the round, then gently reinstall the slide just until the takedown levers engage. Now the gun is ready to go in DA mode without the striker cocked. Since this is my edc, it stays loaded 95% of the time so I’m not particularly concerned about extractor wear. 5) Should I actually have to use it in a defensive situation, it’s going to sit in an evidence locker for a year or 2 before I get it back! Instead of crying, I’ll just get another one! I have more expensive and better guns, but this is my logic. Great video!
@ I have found re G2C to shoot more accurately and much more reliably than Glock. I own two G2C's 9 and 40 I also own a Glock 19. In over a thousand rounds in the G2C 9 one ftf, one fte in the first mag of ammo after that no problems. G2C 40 no problems ever. They eat everything. Glock 19 with the right ammo no failures certain ammo repeated failures. The Glock is picky. G2C wins. Bought all guns new.

I bought a Ruger EC9S about a month ago and it shoots well, no issues, and feels comfortable in my hand. It was a toss up between the EC9S and the G2C....it looks like I will be adding the G2C to my shelf soon.
Those Taurus polymers are very good shooters, eats everything. Bought two G2Cs and a G3 new, bought another G3 used. I daily carry a G2C (and home defense + a shotgun), use the G3 as CC and range gun...very good! Gave my Dad one each of of the G2C and G3 for house guns.

Great review. I appreciate not only your depth of experience but the pace of your productions. Another advantage that the Taurus has is the restrike capability that enhances dry-fire practice. I bought one with that purpose in mind. Because it eliminates the need for re-racking every shot, it simulates range fire and is useable for rapid fire drills. Great list! I carried a 1911 for 40+ years. 2015 I bought my first polymer gun. The Taurus PT111 G2. I just bought the G2C. I hear people complain about the triggers? I love the trigger. Being old I remember decades ago no one complained about triggers? It's a gun, adapt to it. So many people would be in a world of manure if they were in a really bad situation and had to pick-up a gun they never shot before? I'm not berating anyone and yes a nice trigger is good, but you can replace it, or deal with it?
Best to ya',,,,!
@ love my G2, trigger is awesome
I owned a PT111. prior to the G2. The trigger was bad, had to send it back per the recall order at the time. When trigger depressed, nothing happened. Once you released the trigger, that's when it fired.
J O what makes a trigger bad?
@@AlphaDwgpeople complain about the long take-up in the trigger, of a "gritty" feel. The gritty feel can be ameliorated with a good cleaning and lube, plus it gets better with age, in many cases. The long take-up is pretty deliberate, for a carry pistol, it reduces the chance of an accidental discharge. But, a new aftermarket trigger is available for the G2C that keeps all of the safety features intact and makes shooting nicer. The Asmund short stroke trigger. A $24 mod.
Fully agree on the taurus G series and glock at the end. My G2c and G19 are favorites, hands down.

So happy I bought a G3c!my only issue initially was with disassembly
Every time you post a video I stop what I’m doing and click play. Thank you for what you do. 👍🏻

HONEST OUTLAW dropping a vid I'm seriously interested at 1:00am
YES!!
I got an m&p 2.0 with 3.6" barrel in .40 cal last year on black friday for 299.99.
I shot 200 rounds of steel cased as fast as I could pull the trigger with no malfunctions. I tried 200 rounds of aluminum cased and it ate those as well just as fast as I could pull the trigger. I then fired 400 rounds of brass cased ammo and it ate it with no malfunctions. So thus far 1,000 rounds with no malfunctions.
I have an apex trigger, sear, and plunger in it wth the s&w springs which made the pull 4.5 pounds.
I put night fision night sights on it with an orange front.
I have the turus g2c and I love it. Great to carry. Love shooting it. I have no problems with it. When I carry it it feels like it's not there
Never fired a gun ,from the UK where most guns are only owned by criminals, subbed to honest outlaw now frustrated I can't fire a gun.
Come to America my friend!!! When coronavirus is over of course 😆
@@thepistolguy859 yes you can shoot in uk. Contact a gun club in uk, its possible, just not advertised

Wow bro, that's so 1776 lol
The content is of these videos is so interesting! I find myself marveling at the Honest Outlaw's shooting prowess that I have to rewind the videos to better focus on the details.
“One of those weirdo states” hahahaha. Couldn’t have said it any better myself, at least in a family friendly way.
@Syd Barger what state
I absolutely love my Taurus G3 series pistols! They're extremely reliable and feel great in the hand. I made sure both had the Glock style sights, not the wedge style rear right. The G2C I had previously had the wedge style rear sight and it worked it's way loose because of the set screw. I traded it in that day for the G3C.
Just an aside, I bought a Lakeline micro comp and recoil springs from Galloway Precision and Lakeline for my G3. The G3 WOULD NOT cycle with the comp and either one of those aftermarket springs. I put the factory recoil spring back in the gun and it worked fine with the comp🤷
Taurus g2c literally the best pistol for the money can’t beat it plus all the features you get
I just recently bought a Smith and Wesson sd9ve and i got to say, for the price the gun is fantastic! I couldn't be more satisfied. They call them the "Smith and Wesson glocks" for a reason i guess, but it's super fun and easy to shoot, accurate, and reliable as hell so far.
I was glad to see that it at least got an honorable mention.
I used the SD9VE as a duty weapon, it never let me down.
I've shot my share, and been admired for being quick to center the shot... but you are good... the kind skill and practice needs.
A couple months ago, I bought a Ruger P95 made in 1998 for $225. It's a 9 mm, came with 2 10 round mags and I bought two 15 rounders for about $25 each. It's been flawless through 500 rounds. Do your research, but there are many used Gen 3 Smiths and P-series Rugers that offer high quality and great shootability at a bargain price. Others, too, but I'm familiar with the Smiths and Rugers.
Dude! Your shooting is at the level of Artist! A sight to behold!
Man I remember buying my Gen 1 M&P Shield in 2013 for $550.
I do love my Taurus G2C. Haven't had a failure yet with it.
Yea the shields are higher than he was saying they were. By quite a bit. The 1.0 is almost I think 359 plus taxes its around 400 out the door and that was about 6 months ago.
Bought my 15 year old son a Taurus G-2 and he can’t kill ThT pistol 🔫 trust me he’s put 1500 rounds thru it in a month, great gun, new $230. Personally I carry an M&P sub compact with 17 round mag, it’s never let me down. I picked it up for $350 two years ago. Great all around gun, I’m more of a rifle guy but everyone needs a side arm!!!!!
I've got this video and 2 anothers from your list and have referred back to them several times. Between the videos and the awesome comments it has helped so much in my search. I SHOULD be allowed to give you at least 1 more thumbs up!
I bought my g3 for a competition that required a g19 sized gun. I now carry it every day. I was pleasantly surprised as i usually shoot full size guns. Can't recommend it enough
The g3 is a beast for the price, I’ve had mine for about 2 months. Just bought a glock 19x yesterday 👍
Normally I shoot & carry my 5" M&P 40 2.0
I have a Taurus G2 Millenium and I love it. Gone target shooting with it many times. Never had an issue.
I've been think'in about gett'in one, thanks!!
So basically Taurus Gseries for the win 🔫💪🏻💪🏻
"Toilet Paper Apocalypse." Yes, I'm stealing that one. Perfect name for this insanity.
I'm a dummy when it comes to guns but they are great for home defense. And I'm trying to learn about guns now. That I'm living on my own.
T-MUSTAFA 33 me too !
If there’s only ONE firearm I were to own, it’d be between the Glock G19 (9mm) /the G20 (10mm) / or the G21 (45 ), depending on you preference of caliber.
Paul Harrell is great channel for beginners
I bought the G2 the other day. It's my first gun that I bought for myself. I've shot guns before but never my own. I was looking for a budget pistol around 200. Watched some reviews on several. Was kinda leaning towards the Hi point. Went to Rural King all they had was out of my price range. Found a G2 at a pawnshop for 209 after taxes 221 and some change. Haven't been able to shoot it yet took a while to find ammo. Looking forward to shooting it.
Can't believe Bersa never makes these lists! Ive owned three for years and years, and the new ones are even better and more contemporary in design.
Don't overlook them, folks!
I've had two family members purchase Bersa pistols in 9mm and .380. Neither would run right. Both got sent back and they now own S&W and Canik. No issues out of either so far.
Have to agree the s&w m&p is an outstanding unit.
Very cool of u and ur choice of sharing w Homeless shelter.
Thx for ur pistol reviews...Bless
Whoa! As a first time gun owner, I need this guy to teach me how to shoot.
If you put as many rounds down range as he does you would probably be able to shoot like him. Small instruction and a lot of rounds make a huge difference. Definitely get some basic instruction if you are new to shooting it will help your confidence with your handling on range and off.
I own the Walter PPS M2 love it great shooter.
@@jessepolston9438 Thx for the advice. I'm new to this and planning to take instructions on using a firearm. A little nervous, but excited!!
@@jessepolston9438 Thanks for the advice Jesse.

NRA and various ranges have many courses available to teach beginners to shoot safely.
Im getting my first cc and thanks to your review im going with the Taurus g3c cause im on a budget if i had more money shield plus is my first choice
I feel like the Ruger SR series shoulda got honorable mention, especially if talking about used firearms....great track record for reliability and all around versatility. Plus choice of 9/40/45.
I have the SR9E as my full-sized primary going on almost 4 years now and I contend it's the best $300 handgun in the world, period. Like mine and most, it can easily be found brand new for $299 and, at times, even less. That said, the Taurus G2 was just getting serious research time from yours truly the other day (even as I continue to clearly waffle year in and year out on a brand "upgrade" from all-Ruger to all-Beretta, itself based largely on the fact the latter offers excellent long guns too when taking the Cx4 Storm, ARX 100, and 1301 Tactical into account (noting one of those even shares clips AND ammo with their handguns and is unanimously gorgeous to boot). Continuing with my brand-alignment thinking, there's Beretta's acquisition of the historically-outstanding rifles proper from Sako and thus Tikka too. However, I now digress.
I love my Taurus G2c, but qualified for my Illinois CCW with my SCCY CPX 2. I trust that pistol more than any I own.
I love my SCCY CPX 2 as well. Its small which is great for my smaller hands and the kick isn't much. Also its great at keeping the coyotes away from my chickens lol

9:19, speaking on the M&P Shield: "The primary use of this gun is home defense." 😜
The M&P is mainly a self-defense conceal carry pistol.
3 years ago, when I was first deciding whether to buy one (I have one in 9 and one in 40 now), I asked some cops I worked with. They all carried the 9 Shield as their backup pistol for duty carry.
One guy said "He loved it". And no, they weren't department issued, they had to pay for them.
@@catlover1986 Nice I have a full size MP in 40.
I am just elated with that intro. I'll spare you my life story but I spent my teens into my early 20's (a little over a quarter of my life) with NPA (no fixed address, homeless, home bumming, whatever you want to call it) until I sobered up around 7 years ago. Then I was still homeless for a year or so. Still living month to month, money's tight, but I've been chasing and living my dream career, yadda yadda. Real rags to slightly nicer rags story. The point is, that is an excellent thing you are doing. You're giving people a chance, a choice, most of which are purely victims of circumstance, addiction, and/or mental illness. I can't afford to be a Patron, or even buy a gun (just seriously entertaining the idea for the first time). What I can do is smash that like button, subscribe, and say with conviction, you're doing a truly good thing, whether you care as a person or you do it to drive viewership, I assume the former, and many people are grateful, and will be eternally grateful for deeds like this, that goes double for those who donate. So, thank you. I personally, and sincerely, deeply appreciate that you do that. It made my night.
I was given a first year Ruger P95DC like new. Changed the sights to MeproLight Tritium and put a Talon Grips granular wrap on it. Picked up a few 15 round mags as well. Super cheap and it shoots great.
