I picked up a Taurus G3 at the end of last year. I wasn’t even expecting to purchase a new carrier that day. I just needed ammo for the range. It was listed at 369 but on sale for 249. I paid like 290 out the door and it was probably one of the top 5 purchases of my life.

They also have quite a few different colour options and some custom options like sights and guide rods, ect. And for the price of $400 or lower in my opinion it's hard to beat. My own gripe on them is the grip texture, it's the only reason I didn't get one and went with something else. I could have gotten some Talon grips or something but I went with something with a bit more customization (psa dagger), one day if the dagger proves to disappoint, I will be making my stop at a p10s.

@@i_inf0din254I have a Dagger and a P10C. The P10C is better in every way other than customizable and modularity. Also, my CZ optics ready model with night sights was the exact same price as my dagger that has a threaded barrel, RMR cut and slide cuts. Just looking at them side by side and taken apart you can see that the CZ was built better with better materials. If the texture on the CZ is too rough for you you can sand it down or wrap it. I will say though in a high stress situation that texture could save your life.

I own/have owned a G3, G3C and G2C. All of mine were "good ones". I'd still follow your suggestion of testing a few hundred rounds with any carry pistol, Taurus or not.
The TX22 is just a stupid amount of fun for the money. It's a great performer, and I have a hard time having more fun for less money than I can with the TX22 and a few hundred rounds of Aguila 22. I can get positively giggly shooting steel challenge courses with a red dot-equipped TX22.
Same with the Wrangler. Yesterday morning I took mine out and spent a couple of hours dinging steel until the Iowa sun sent me packing. Mine runs flawlessly,
If we're counting used guns, I feel like you missed the S&W LEO trade in Model 64s and Model 10s you can still find. Those are solid workhorses that still hold up.
My friends are all sick of hearing me talk about how good CZ guns are, so I'll spare you that one, but I'll mention my SAR B6P, which I still see in the $300 range. It's a crude Turkish CZ75 clone, but mine shoots as straight as anything else I own.

I have one of the first Tactical Toblerone Centurion’s and have a number of different grip modules. Beretta obviously has grip modules in all the colors and then Toni Systems have a myriad of alternative performance parts. I’ve also bought a full size grip module, and cut the dust cover shorter with a bandsaw, after that polished the edge with a buffing wheel to smooth it out and now also have a full size, short barrel, long grip APX “Centurion-X”.

With the compact frame the overall size is between a Glock 26 and 19, and with the Centurion frame it's right around the Glock 19 size. Keep an eye on the front sight on the G3C. Mine suddenly loosened at the range (thankfully). Drop of Loctite on the bolt got it back in order. Maybe it was just mine... haven't heard anyone else complaining about it admittedly.

Tisas PX9-G3. I feel that this should be on your list. I have many thousands of rds through several variations of this model and they are fantastic in build quality and also reliability. MSRP is only $319.00 for the basic model.

I whole heatedly agree on the PX9 gen3! I bought a black Duty model a few months back for $289 and am still amazed at the value I got in such a great shooting pistol. It is the lowest cost pistol I own and my favorite pistol to shoot. What a combo?

Amen!! I bought the Gen 3 Night Stalker version with a Tritium front sight, removable optics plate, grey Ceracote finish, one 18 and one 20 round magazine, plus it comes with 3 sizes of grips. All this for $279.00 from J&G Sales. I’ve got about 600 rounds through it, with NO issues. I challenge anyone to show me a better deal than that. It has replaced my Ruger SR 1911 as my nightstand gun.

I bought a Taurus G3c and by far it's such a sleeper. I even 3D printed a frame for it (called the FOSS Cannon) and I haven't had one issue. I've only sent about a hundred rounds through it last time I was at the range, but it ran great and not one failure. I also 3D printed a Glock 19X frame and completed that build with a Dagger slide... do NOT sleep on the Dagger! Lastly, I also picked up a Security .380 and simply love how it feels and shoots. I never owned a .380 and I'm really happy with what I got.

Love my G3c! Best reason to carry inexpensive guns is that IF you ever need to defend yourself, your gun WILL BE TAKEN for evidence. From what I have heard from folks, you may or may not ever get it back, but it will be at least a year before you do.

the APX was my first handgun and honestly I loved so much about it, I could make it full sized or subcompact super easily by moving the firing system into a different frame so could have it be my car gun for long trips and bring my concealed carry parts for when I was out and about. The only issue was holsters were a pain to find.

Although it was mentioned in previous videos, it is worth mentioning in this one. The Walther PPS M2 9mm micro subcompact single-stack is one of the best in it's class (better than Glock 43, Shield and many other).
I purchased the M2 LE version that came with a lifetime warranty, 3 magazines (large 8-round, medium 7-round & small 6-round), a hard case and front and rear night sights for under $350.
It is a very reliable shooter with the best accuracy and least recoil in it's class as well as the best ergonomics. The 3.2 inch polygonal rifling is German forged the best.
The only drawback if you really think you need it is less capacity than the CZ P10s, but I believe in the 3s, the average personal defense gun fight is 3 rounds in 3 seconds at 3 yards. I carry the 7round because it fits my hand perfectly and the 8round as a spare, n edged weapon and a concealed carry license just in case.

I just bought my second Ruger Security-9 on sale for $300. I saw your 1K review & I know you’re not a huge fan of some of the modern Ruger handguns but the Security-9 is an exceptional value. I’ve taken it apart down to every pin & spring (it’s a very easy gun to maintain & disassemble), I’ve never had a failure with mine, & I just love the dang thing. I can see where the trigger could take some getting used to but Galloway Precision makes an easy to install upgrade kit for about $50. Kinda bummed it didn’t make the list but still love the video. Also love my TX22, that thing is amazing 💪💪💪

Great video! A few more rimfires to consider:
    1) Ruger Super Wrangler…comes with adjustable sights and both a 22LR & 22WMR cylinder, seen them on sale for under $300
    2) Heritage Rough Rider…too many different configurations to list, but same premise as above.
    3) Diamondback Sidekick…9 shot, double/single action, swing out cylinders in 22LR & 22WMR. It had a few quirks…Shoots low, spent casings can be a little sticky, and the double action pull is heavy (like most DA rimfires).
