- Finally, I did a true-dual cold air intake for the 370z. And to add on my non-sense spending, I'm throwing in an air guide for the intakes ✌

bro i love this guys vibe lmao, my invasive thoughts in person
I enjoy your videos as you show just the right amount of detail. I would have suggested cleaning the throttle bodies while you had it apart. As you mentioned a before and after on the dyno would be nice, but nothing is free.
Thanks man! I appreciate that. And yeah I should've cleaned the TBs for sure. Another video then lol
I do know that dirt won’t slow you down, but, you need to get a soft paint brush, a shop vac, a spray bottle of mild soap, and clean/ water hose (do not pressure wash) that engine. Then hit it with some engine dressing.
May not be sightly, but I always mark any sensors that only work in one direction (but can be installed in the opposite direction) with a paint pen, such as the MAF, so that when removing it to clean, I reinstall it right. My cars are also strictly for function and not for show.
This randomly came into my feed and glad it did. Enjoyed the video and now real tempted to get that intake system. After the install, now you have to take the bumper off every time you need to change the filters? Trying to decide if I'm too lazy to do that or not.
I'm glad it found ya! And unfortunately, yes. 😥
hey, nice video but to clear the air, the stillen gen 3s don’t need a tune and your car will have a little get up when shifting gears and accelerating.’ But a tune does create a major difference in the air intakes and really puts them to its max potential
That's right! Stillen Gen 3s are 2.5" in tubing diameter and do not require a tune. However, AdminTuning are 3" and will require tuning to compensate with the increased airflow rate 👌🏼
Hey Eric, love your vids!!! So... assume when comes time to clean/replace filter have to remove bumper? How often?
@@fredwilliams3213 thank you! 🙏🏼 Unfortunately, yes. Usually you have to clean it in 30,000 - 50,000 miles but that depends on driving conditions like weather and the amount of dirt is present.
Hey Eric was wondering, does the back shroud cause less air to get to the radiator? Love your vids!
Yo! I have not noticed any major increase in temps or heat soaking for the year i've driven it with casual spirited driving including the heat wave we had in July. So, no it does not cause less air to get to the radiator.
And thanks for the positive vibes dude!
Did it throw a check engine light ? I plan on getting intakes too but don’t wanna tune my car. I know other intake require tune but I heard even Stillen and z1 throw check engine light over time without tune.…. So let me know. Don’t wanna run lean
you wont' notice anything from an intake without a tune
you will notice a tune without an intake tho.
@@seethruhead7119 didn’t answer my question 😂. I know that. But I’m asking if it throws a check engine light without a tune over time when driving
I've driven it around 200kms already, and so for no check engine light. I've been heavy with my foot so that's not a reliable source for it to be running lean.
I've put an intake on most of my vehicles, I only drive Japanese but, I've never had a check engine light come on, and never had issues with passing inspection, never had a tune, and I've always seen noticeable hp gains at full throttle. It's just about getting fresh air to the filters
Are these the 3 inch intakes?
Nope. These are the 2.5 inches Z1
Thoughts on UPT air intakes?
I'm not too sure about them. I would steer clear from them and get either Z1 or Admin for 3" but that's my opinion.
Hey Eric! Thank you for posting this! I love you video and your video is a great mix of detail on install. I just bought these too and am even more excited seeing this video.
Yo! I'm glad you enjoyed this video. Wish you the best, man! Feel free to hit me up if you've got questions. 🤙🏼
@@ItsEricVenzon Thank you so much! I subscribed! Will be looking forward to your content!!
Nice 👍. How much did you get it for?
I got the Air Guide for $99 and, regular price for the Intake unfortunately.
Awesome video
Is Alex Martini your idol?
Nooo. 😅
