(wish i had this video for my install would have been such a time saver.) you can put a sims card in there, aftermarket tire pressure system and add more cameras. its lit.... Great video man.

So Eric, I ordered one of these yesterday from overseas, should arrive in a couple weeks, but I have a question....What about the rear defrost option on our Z's? I don't see any controls for that feature with this setup. Any answer for that?
I have no issues with Bluetooth so far and it's stable. There are many ways you can do this; you can use your phone for Android Auto/Apple Carplay and you can get maps there; you can use the Google maps app and use your phone as a wifi hotspot; or you can pay for a sim card for data.

@@ackmedzambosama5327 theoretically, it is possible but it's not going to be easy. You'll need a new ECU, new gauge cluster, rev match button, and gear positioning sensor then you'll have to drop the transmission and do all of this.

Hey man, at frame @4:51 there's a grey female plug from the harness (3rd plug from the right) and there's a blue wire coming from it. I don't remember entirely what harnesses I had in the car but I had the male plug and I tapped my amp remote wire to that. That grey plug is a Radio To Antenna Adapter.
@@race5050R1 nope. That's the beauty of it. They're plug and play. If you have a base audio, just buy the unit. If you have a Bose system, you'll need an audio box.

If you're looking for Apple CarPlay, it has one. Since Apple only works on proprietary hardware and software, there won't be an apple version. Android is an open source mobile operating system which makes it easier to make aftermarket tablets like this exist.
I have an aftermarket sound system with a broken channel so I can't really give you a definite answer. It has a built in digital equalizer so you can tune it.
I laid the gps first then i literally just pushed and sandwiched the cable to the crevice between the windshield and dash. Just keep pushing the cable in between the trims to hide it on the passenger side then down the dash and A pillar, then down to the side of the glovebox and then feed the cable behind the glovebox to the center dash. I regret not recording that part.
Damn. I already have a 13inch screen in my 370, but it ain't as cool as this. I grabbed one off Alibaba, it doesn't sit inside it is simply a double din with a screen that is outside of it on a swivel. As you can imagine, the massive screen is blocking everything. The cubby is there but I obviously can't get to it, and the AC dials are hard to get to. I have to just kind of memorize them because I can turn them, just can't see them lol... I wish I'd seen this before I did all that! Some pluses are that I can swivel it from portrait to landscape, has a backup camera, I can watch videos anytime, it has an HDMI input so I "could" put a PlayStation in there if I wanted... But still.. I dont think the Android software has been updated once, some of the settings don't even work, and it has an ugly home screen interface with pointless information. Yours looks much cooler 👍🏼

Hey man! We have a "370z AuCar Tesla Style Screen" Facebook group and with did a poll: 42% does NOT have any issues, 32% HAVE issues, and 26% have MINOR issues. We talk about issues and fixes in the group and we're pretty responsive. For the most part, AuCar is responsive with customer support when you need a swap IF there's an issue that the group can't fix.
Yes sir! Everything works perfectly fine. I haven't had any issues yet with my current setup. I'm just excited to do the dashboard theme and the things I control in the future with bluetooth
They have their pros and cons. Bottom line, with Brainiac, you can take out the tablet. With this, you can't since it's integrated. This has a bigger screen and a new climate control design.
I installed the rear camera last year and ran the wires to the front of the car and used the supplied harness from Aucar. Basically plug and play (except wiring the reverse wire signal to the back camera)
@@ItsEricVenzon i replaced all my factory speakers and trust what an upgrade to the car! Because the factory speaker are perfectly placed in the cabin of the car 👍🏾.
Oh forgot to mention you can attach to radio for affordability. But i recommend adding another amp for Best results! Nothing crazy a 4 channel works Good! Let me know how you make out 👍🏾
@@justfun8253 i tried and failed at it, the screen/unit is not aftermarket amp firnedly at all. it will clip the audio. Im returning mine because of it smh. Its more of the stock bose amp friendly but not aftermarket friendly. The signal from the stock rca's isnt good like a traditional headunit imo
I've had it for two years and it hasn't drained my battery. It sounds like it's a ground issue. I've replaced my battery last year but that's a winter issue and the screen did not play factor to that.
@@limitlessgaming6210 Try wired to do WIRED Apple Carplay and see if that fixes the problem. You can also check wireless Apple CarPlay dongles. I've been using wired ever since just because It's cleaner and more efficient.
Eric, ive had nothing but hvac problems with this unit since I purchased it 3 weeks ago. They've tried numerous updates etc that do nothing, they don't even mitigate the issue. Once I turn on ANY ac or heat, or vent function, it works for maybe 5 minutes then goes off into a mind of its own and sticks on one setting, whatever setting it wants too, then there's no controlling it, with either the screen or hard buttons. It's a MEGA letdown, and aucar wants me to send the unit back before they send me a replacement. To which means, I'll have a massive hole in my dash, and no sound until prolly the month it'll take in transition for the defective unit to arrive back in China amd they get the new one to me. I dunno man, these things have sporadic bugs in them I've seen all over online. Any ideas to have them send a replacement unit out and then I will send theirs back, only to keep from having said hole in my dash and no sound for about a month? I dunno what to do and thought I'd ask for any ideas from ya, cuz this is ridiculous how they wanna handle this. They won't send me a new unit until they have the old one back, to which, WHYYYY would I wanna keep this non working pos and not send it back??? Doesn't make sense to me cuz they've even seen the vids I sent of the problem and it not working. Why on earth would they not have faith in knowing I wouldn't send it back? 🙄
Hey man, i feel sorry that it crapped out on you. There's.very limited options in your case if they want it back until you get a replacement. It would be like a "core" swap by the looks of it (example would be you sending your ecu out to get the tune, or sending out the intake plenum and get the bored plenum) My suggestion, if you want to risk it, you could buy one now before you do a return so that there's no downtime. The only problem is you'd have to pay out again before they do a refund if you catch my drift. I hope it works out in your favour man.
@It's Eric Venzon Well they have been kinda shitty to me in this situation, they've avoided answering when I attempt to talk to them recently, they kinda have been "sweeping my issue under the rug" so to speak. However, finally this morning they said "we send you new a/c board", to which I'm fine with that, because the hvac issue I'm having obviously stems from there, but damn man, 1000 bucks for something like this, no one should have to go thru this bs. And they do not speak or understand English well at all, making it much more difficult to mitigate via an AI translator. Well hopefully this fixes the issue, if not, I have no choice but to dismantle it all and send it back and wait for an eternity for the replacement to arrive. I hate throwing parts at stuff in hopes it will work, but in this case, it's all there is, cuz they REALLY think I have some devious plan to have them send me a complete new unit and not send their defective one back. Dunno who in their sane mind would want to keep a unit to where the hvac controls are inop🙄. Anyhow, I think the unit is pretty damn sweet as you do, but buyers beware, if your unit is defective, your gonna go thru hell trying to get it replaced IF it's an internal hardware issue. I'll keep ya posted bro. And I thank you for your response & concern.
@ItsEricVenzon Eric, just sending you an update on my hvac sitch we've been yapping about a few months ago. FINALLY it's fixed, and hopefully this will help others who had the same problem as I had. The issue was a simple update file. Aucar swung and missed several times in their attempt to fix or even mitigate my issue. They threw numerous updates at it before that yielded nothing at all, but FINALLY they did some more homework on my problem and fixed it with an update. Ac now works well and recirculation function does not shut off at random anymore. Now then, I think they were able to finally produce a valid update for it because of a clue I gave them pertaining to its symptoms. Main symptom was after weeks of monitoring was when the ambient cabin heat in the car was excessive, meaning when car was outside and ambient temperatures during summer were in excess of 90 degrees, the recirc feature would shut off on its own within seconds of starting the car and running ac, and when Temps outside were cooler, the recirculation function would rarely shut off. Anyhow, that clue I believe helped Aucar in culminating the correct update to remedy the problem. So, in suffix, if yall have an ac recirculation function problem with these units, have Eric at Aucar send u the appropriate update, cuz it worked for mine. Also if yall have that buzzing feedback sound thru your speakers when you turn on your headlights, simply goto screen brightness function in the display setup menu, and turn the auto dimmer to a little above half. That cured the buzzing problem I was having when buzzing feedback was emitted every time I turned on my headlights. Hope this helps any folks out there who have had one or both of these issues 👍
@@LazyVicthere's a sim card slot & harness for a 4G network (assuming) so you don't have to do a hotspot from your phone. OR you can do a wifi hotspot from the head unit. Pretty neat

Yes but it's embedded in the launcher settings (under General/Dimmer), and not the device settings (android).

Damn. I already have a 13inch screen in my 370, but it ain't as cool as this. I grabbed one off Alibaba, it doesn't sit inside it is simply a double din with a screen that is outside of it on a swivel. As you can imagine, the massive screen is blocking everything. The cubby is there but I obviously can't get to it, and the AC dials are hard to get to. I have to just kind of memorize them because I can turn them, just can't see them lol... I wish I'd seen this before I did all that! Some pluses are that I can swivel it from portrait to landscape, has a backup camera, I can watch videos anytime, it has an HDMI input so I "could" put a PlayStation in there if I wanted... But still.. I dont think the Android software has been updated once, some of the settings don't even work, and it has an ugly home screen interface with pointless information. Yours looks much cooler 👍🏼
OMG... Another thing is mine doesn't support the steering wheel buttons... Which is probably one of the most annoying features it DOESN'T have
@@SwazNasty I've seen those before and considered them. I just wasn't into the aesthetic of it poking out of the dash. I got lucky seeing this from a buddy. Not to be sale-sy but if you ever reconsidered changing your headunit, you can check out the link in the description and use "EV370z" to save $50 😉

Hey man! We have a "370z AuCar Tesla Style Screen" Facebook group and with did a poll: 42% does NOT have any issues, 32% HAVE issues, and 26% have MINOR issues. We talk about issues and fixes in the group and we're pretty responsive.
For the most part, AuCar is responsive with customer support when you need a swap IF there's an issue that the group can't fix.
How is the audio quality with that screen?
I mean I have an aftermarket sound system, so a little better than stock.

Yes sir! Everything works perfectly fine. I haven't had any issues yet with my current setup. I'm just excited to do the dashboard theme and the things I control in the future with bluetooth

Is this one better than the brainiac one for the 370z?
They have their pros and cons. Bottom line, with Brainiac, you can take out the tablet. With this, you can't since it's integrated. This has a bigger screen and a new climate control design.
how does the back camara work?
I installed the rear camera last year and ran the wires to the front of the car and used the supplied harness from Aucar. Basically plug and play (except wiring the reverse wire signal to the back camera)

It's meh. The 370z acoustics isn't the best to begin with. It has an equalizer if that helps

@@justfun8253 here's the thing. I'm the second owner and they put an aftermarket amp and sub. I haven't checked if they replaced the speakers.
@@ItsEricVenzon i replaced all my factory speakers and trust what an upgrade to the car! Because the factory speaker are perfectly placed in the cabin of the car 👍🏾.
Oh forgot to mention you can attach to radio for affordability. But i recommend adding another amp for Best results! Nothing crazy a 4 channel works Good! Let me know how you make out 👍🏾

Good question. For reference, the aftermarket amp harness only has RCA-SUB, RearRight, RearLeft, FrontRight, FrontLeft.

@@justfun8253 i tried and failed at it, the screen/unit is not aftermarket amp firnedly at all. it will clip the audio. Im returning mine because of it smh. Its more of the stock bose amp friendly but not aftermarket friendly. The signal from the stock rca's isnt good like a traditional headunit imo

Has the screen been draining your battery? I have one too and i think its been draining my battery?
I've had it for two years and it hasn't drained my battery. It sounds like it's a ground issue. I've replaced my battery last year but that's a winter issue and the screen did not play factor to that.

@@limitlessgaming6210 Try wired to do WIRED Apple Carplay and see if that fixes the problem. You can also check wireless Apple CarPlay dongles.
I've been using wired ever since just because It's cleaner and more efficient.

Eric, ive had nothing but hvac problems with this unit since I purchased it 3 weeks ago. They've tried numerous updates etc that do nothing, they don't even mitigate the issue. Once I turn on ANY ac or heat, or vent function, it works for maybe 5 minutes then goes off into a mind of its own and sticks on one setting, whatever setting it wants too, then there's no controlling it, with either the screen or hard buttons. It's a MEGA letdown, and aucar wants me to send the unit back before they send me a replacement. To which means, I'll have a massive hole in my dash, and no sound until prolly the month it'll take in transition for the defective unit to arrive back in China amd they get the new one to me. I dunno man, these things have sporadic bugs in them I've seen all over online. Any ideas to have them send a replacement unit out and then I will send theirs back, only to keep from having said hole in my dash and no sound for about a month? I dunno what to do and thought I'd ask for any ideas from ya, cuz this is ridiculous how they wanna handle this. They won't send me a new unit until they have the old one back, to which, WHYYYY would I wanna keep this non working pos and not send it back??? Doesn't make sense to me cuz they've even seen the vids I sent of the problem and it not working. Why on earth would they not have faith in knowing I wouldn't send it back? 🙄
Hey man, i feel sorry that it crapped out on you. There's.very limited options in your case if they want it back until you get a replacement. It would be like a "core" swap by the looks of it (example would be you sending your ecu out to get the tune, or sending out the intake plenum and get the bored plenum) My suggestion, if you want to risk it, you could buy one now before you do a return so that there's no downtime. The only problem is you'd have to pay out again before they do a refund if you catch my drift.

@It's Eric Venzon Well they have been kinda shitty to me in this situation, they've avoided answering when I attempt to talk to them recently, they kinda have been "sweeping my issue under the rug" so to speak. However, finally this morning they said "we send you new a/c board", to which I'm fine with that, because the hvac issue I'm having obviously stems from there, but damn man, 1000 bucks for something like this, no one should have to go thru this bs. And they do not speak or understand English well at all, making it much more difficult to mitigate via an AI translator. Well hopefully this fixes the issue, if not, I have no choice but to dismantle it all and send it back and wait for an eternity for the replacement to arrive. I hate throwing parts at stuff in hopes it will work, but in this case, it's all there is, cuz they REALLY think I have some devious plan to have them send me a complete new unit and not send their defective one back. Dunno who in their sane mind would want to keep a unit to where the hvac controls are inop🙄. Anyhow, I think the unit is pretty damn sweet as you do, but buyers beware, if your unit is defective, your gonna go thru hell trying to get it replaced IF it's an internal hardware issue. I'll keep ya posted bro. And I thank you for your response & concern.
@ItsEricVenzon Eric, just sending you an update on my hvac sitch we've been yapping about a few months ago. FINALLY it's fixed, and hopefully this will help others who had the same problem as I had. The issue was a simple update file. Aucar swung and missed several times in their attempt to fix or even mitigate my issue. They threw numerous updates at it before that yielded nothing at all, but FINALLY they did some more homework on my problem and fixed it with an update. Ac now works well and recirculation function does not shut off at random anymore. Now then, I think they were able to finally produce a valid update for it because of a clue I gave them pertaining to its symptoms. Main symptom was after weeks of monitoring was when the ambient cabin heat in the car was excessive, meaning when car was outside and ambient temperatures during summer were in excess of 90 degrees, the recirc feature would shut off on its own within seconds of starting the car and running ac, and when Temps outside were cooler, the recirculation function would rarely shut off. Anyhow, that clue I believe helped Aucar in culminating the correct update to remedy the problem. So, in suffix, if yall have an ac recirculation function problem with these units, have Eric at Aucar send u the appropriate update, cuz it worked for mine. Also if yall have that buzzing feedback sound thru your speakers when you turn on your headlights, simply goto screen brightness function in the display setup menu, and turn the auto dimmer to a little above half. That cured the buzzing problem I was having when buzzing feedback was emitted every time I turned on my headlights. Hope this helps any folks out there who have had one or both of these issues 👍

@@LazyVicthere's a sim card slot & harness for a 4G network (assuming) so you don't have to do a hotspot from your phone. OR you can do a wifi hotspot from the head unit. Pretty neat

Yes! It has a supplied harness and installation guide. It would be a Type 2 dashboard

@@aratanas this screen are compatible with Type 1 (base/no nav) or Type 2 (factory nav) dashboards. Factory Bose sound system requires an audio box.
