I’m watching this tutorial before I make a scarf for my mom and about 6 or 7 minutes in I had to remind myself that the first row of any cable design is the hardest bc I was like “do I really want to make this?” 😂
I just started crocheting less than a month ago. I have all the foundational stitches down, and i am familiar with front/back post. I have made a few projects and lots of granny squares lol. I will say, this is HARD. But challenging in a GOOD way. I think if i can make this, i can make anything lol. Thank you for this pattern! It is lovely! And your tutorial is perfectly paced for a noob like me. 😅
When deciding on my next project i usually do searches and look at tutorials i've never watched before and eventually everything i watch ends up giving me an idea of what i want to do next (just finished slippers crocheted onto flipflops for my whole family for christmas-super fun) Anyway I really like the way you teach the stitches, very detailed and great for beginner. I am noticing anything that says for beginner is often over explained and often made over complicated but you do not do that so this is really great way to learn and not get confused. The only thing that bothered me was the (i believe its larksfoot-i sometimes rename stitches to make it easier for me so i call it a down arrow stitch)anyway.. it is a drop stitch not a front post as it goes into the stitch and not around the post. Just in case someone learning hears that and gets confused in other tutorials. Post stitches go around the post, if you are dropping down to a row below its just called a drop stitch. Hope that helps those learning in the future. It wont make a difference here but just when reading patterns or other tutorials terms can help you understand what to do easier. Anyway, really appreciate people who take the time to make tutorials and enjoy watching them for fun and ideas. I'm looking at making some sort of hoods for the coming falls season and deciding what i want them to look like and what stitches i'm wanting to use. Even if i dont use this , these types of videos are inspiration when i'm running low on creativity it helps fill up my creative bank so to speak :) so thank you!
@@arkangel8264 thank you so much for your clarification! It sounds like you’re a wonderful crochet artist and I’m sure whatever project you decide to create next will turn out lovely! 🤍
I made this with two strands of wool. It’s not really a scarf the way I did it. It’s nice and thick, so I can take things out of the oven with it. 10/10! Amazing awesome pattern :)
Thank you for this beautiful scarf pattern and your tutorial. I am using the exact same yarn and color. I'm finding it is working up very stiff and debating about starting over with a 7mm hook instead of 6mm. This yarn isn't the softest but I though also once washed, it might soften and relax a little. What do you think? Many thanks!
im planning out a blanket and was wondering.. if i wanted to do 2 strips of this pattern separated by a big cable in the middle, would i still chain the plus 9 for each portion ? or would i be better off making each strip on its own? thank you!
One problem was I was turning incorrectly but I fixed that and I still am missing two stitches at the end. I’ll get to the last single crochet 4 and have three spaces left where I should have one for the chain and four for the last single crochets

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this. It helps me so much and I'm sure it does for others as well.♥️
I’ve never tried this technique and I have to say, it’s exhausting! But in a good way. Like “hey I did that” kind of way. Your speed is perfect
This is a very good explained tutorial. I made the scarf as a gift and I am so happy with the result. Thanks for the video!

It's my first time commenting on UA-cam, your teaching was good I made the scarf for myself and it's very beautiful ❤

Hi! Mine came out quite stiff as well and soaking in conditioner did very little to soften it. So I think a 7mm hook will help. :)
How many skeins, grams, or yards of yarn did you use to get the length like in the thumbnail? @@JasmineTeaCrochet

Looks easy.

Is there a written pattern available to purchase for this scarf
It’s beautiful, thank you
Well structured video. Thank you for making it easy to follow along 😊.
Starting chain should be 36 to end up with 35 stitches!
While she said 35 stitches she wrote down that she said jt wrong she meant to say 34 stitches
Woahhhh this is awesome!!🔥🔥🔥
Thank you! ❤
Did you use only one ball of yarn?
Beautiful scarf

This is a gorgeous design. Will try it soon. You've given the multiple as 18+14. However, in your video, you've chained 35 .. So what is it actually?
Thanks for pointing that out! The correct multiple is now listed in the description 😊 happy crocheting!
@@JasmineTeaCrochet Thank you so much 👍
What is the pattern multiple Of? Sorry if I have missed it. Love from 🇳🇴
I believe the description says 25+9 though I'm not sure if that explains it.
Apparently i have a problem with yarn tension... any suggestions for beginners?
If its too tight, go for a bigger hook, if its too loose then go for a smaller one. Works for different wool types too to get the right size needed.
thank you so much for sharing this beautiful pattern :3
So every time we look at the back and do one SC on each stitch, we should have 35 at the end of that row? or 34?
You should have 34 stitches. The 35th chain accounts for the turning chain that helps to start the first row
On the return pass I keep getting 33💀
I counted 34 single crochet

Is the count 26 and add 9 at the end trying to make a blanket and counts aren’t working correctly
I think it's 25 and add 9
