I love the fact that you crochet like I do
Making this in a neon pink so I have something to wear that makes me more visible on walks. Thanks for sharing!
What a handsome scarf! This would make a gorgeous cardigan! It would also make a unique pocket shawl.
I finished this only after a few days of working and it’s the only scarf I’ve actually finished! I love this pattern and tutorial!! Thank you for this video!💜
Podes traducir en castellano gracias
Just finished a giant scarf for my dad with this pattern :). I alternated between gray and white as I worked up and the contrast of those color stripes with the rows of front double crochets makes it look amazing in my opinion. Thank you for the great pattern!
Hii .. this pattern nice to scarf for men ?? I mean it's nice after you finished it for your dad ?? ❤️❤️
Send picture please
Oooo I am loving this texture!!! I am definitely gonna try this soon!! I'll look through my yarn stash to see what I have to make it with!!! Been wanting to make a scarf this winter and this one peaked my interest!!
Beautiful pattern! I’m having a great time whipping this up for a friend’s Christmas gift.
Thank you so much for your time in making this tutorial. Such an easy yet lovely pattern.
Thanks! This pattern is terrific. Your video was good.
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
I keep ending up with too many stitches after row 3 :(. I’ve frogged it several times. I’ve looked at the written pattern and this video and can’t figure it out
@@gingin19892004 I had the same issue until I realised I needed to skip the stitch behind the front post double crochet before continuing with the half double crochet
I just subscribed today, and I love your channel. Thank you for sharing. I'm a beginner and the front post double crochet is a little scary for me, but you make it look so easy.
Thanks for subbing! I am so glad the tutorials are helping!
Love this pattern! Thanks so much for the tutorial and I can’t wait to finish this scarf!
thank you! my grandma will love it
Where has this pattern been all my life?? Thank you so much for this tutorial :)
I love this pattern, thank you for sharing it! I'm making the scarf now and it just looks so nice. I generally hate fpdc but this isn't that bad. I'm starting to not mind them.
Very well done! It’s a lovely scarf, and a great pattern. ❤
Thankbyou for this beautiful pattern, Ashley 🥰 I can hardly wait to make it. 😍 Lots of love and yarny hugs 💓
Hello I really like this design .i m almost finishing my scarf and it looks beautiful .Thank you so much .I I request if you can upload men’s vest in same pattern please .
I would make a blanket with this pattern.
I am a long time crocheted, but new to patterns and gauges. My grandmother taught us all the basic stitches and had us create “patterns” or as she called them “‘maps” in our minds of what we wanted to achieve, then to carry it out and make whatever needed changes “on the fly”. **That said, I bought the pattern, and am trying to complete a gauge swatch for the first time. My question is when doing one, do I count 1 of the included CH1s for the Ch1 for turning for a new row, or do I add another CH1 to the provided gauge sts count? THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR THE ADVICE! :)
This is the first pattern i've followed an i love it!!! i started crocheting about a month ago and i really enjoyed this pattern 😁
Hello love your tutorial what is the multiple for this pattern if I'd like to make it longer or shorter.
Multiple of four plus three I believe 😊
Or actually, I think it's just multiples of four because you skip the first chain
I’d love to have a look at the pattern on your website
This is a great pattern, thank you! Made it a bit narrower and loving it!
Thank you for this easy but beautiful man's scarf. I just love it!💞💞💞
Yes a gorgeous scarf pattern. Heading to my stash right now. Thanks! I will review your other videos so subbed.
Loving the tutorial!
Thank you for this tutorial! I'm working on it right now 😊 So far it's looking great ❤️🙌
I'm so glad you like it!
This is a lovely pattern! What is the stitch count, please? Is there a hat pattern to match?
Thank you for this video. So easy to follow!
thank you very much!! enjoyed this project 😊
Thank you for sharing this awesome pattern✨
Do you recommend ending with two rows of just HDC so it matches the beginning?
You definitely can!
What an amazing stitch!😍 I really like it, thank you so much for ur clear instruction ♥️
Glad you like it!
Thank you for the video. I will be making a scarf.
Such an easy beautiful pattern! I’m love with my new scarf 😍
Really beautiful!! I'm going to give this stitch a try ☺️
ive never worked with front post crochets but it's an interesting stitch!!! also, loving the pattern for my scarf ❤️
Beautiful scarf thank you ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
This was beautiful when finished. I changed it to 16 stiches width and 36.5 inches for the length for my 2 year old granddaughter. Do you have a pattern for a hat that would accompany this? Thank you
Thanks for the pattern really like it 😊
Hi , i loved this pattern and completed my muffler, could you plz make a video for a sweater with the same pattern. I want to gift it to my friend.
You just popped up on my notifications. I'm making the scarf now. Do you hv a hat to match it please? I've subcribed and hit the like button❣️
do you have a hat pattern with this pattern?
Can this pattern be made into a matching hat?
Excellent tutorial
Am I right that you are only crocheting through back loop? Tia
This is so pretty.
I am starting this scarf for my friend for her birthday.
Thank you
Im using a 4mm crochet hook how manny would you recommend chaining in the begging.
Thank you for the tutorial 🎈🎈
Looking for similar info, if I find the answer, I’ll try to let you know! In the meantime I did find interesting info on trying to do the math yourself! The video was by Cozy Rosie Crochet and the “formulas” I believe were:
NEEDED INFO:
1) Finished size/dimensions
2) Do you want that size, or to alter that size?
3) Work up the pattern gauge swatch.
TO FIND STITCH COUNT:
1) Divide stitches in gauge swatch by 4 to get the # of sts per inch. (Keep number as is (for now) even if it’s not a whole number.)
EX: sts in gauge swatch / 4 = # of sts per inch.
2) Multiply the # of sts per inch by the # of inches needed for the projects finished size to find out the total # of sts needed.
EX: sts per inch (in gauge swatch) * total inches for finished size = total stitches required.
TO FIND NUMBER OF ROWS:
1) Take # of rows in 4 inch measurement & divide by 4 to get the #of rows per inch. (Again, this may not be a whole number, keep number as is for now.)
EX: Rows in 4” / 4 = rows per inch.
2) Then, multiply rows per inch by the finished size to get the # of rows needed for finished length.
EX: Rows per inch * finished size (inches) = total # of rows needed.
**Now you can round up or down as needed. (Considering if there’s any specifics for the pattern like “needs to be a multiple of 4”, or must have an even number of chains, etc.)
I hope this helps and definitely recommend searching the video because it was SUPER helpful for me!
Chain multiples of 4 to start. I did 40 to make a wider scarf.
Thank you!
Amazing 😍🤩
Beautiful! My yarn I am using is size 5 so I want to make it skinnier. What are the multiples?
Thank you! All additional info can be found in the blog post as well, but the multiples are 3 + 1.
Hope that helps!
Love this pattern 😍
I’m new to crocheting in general I just started yesterday so I think I may be hitting more than I can chew with this scarf but I’m doing it anyways but is it normal that it curves a little bit or did I do something wrong? Mine looks sort of circular rather than rectangular
hi! you might be crocheting too tight or you are accidentally skipping a stitch or not crocheting in the correct last stitch , if you can find a row where you are doing that then unravel it but if not you can do an increase by crocheting twice under the same stitch at the end or wherever you made a false decrease before. also make sure you are chaining one at the end of each row! hope this helps
@ hi! I actually ended up finished it a couple of weeks after this comment and it turned a bit curved in the beginning but the more I kept going and kept loosing up my chains it became straighter and super cute!!! But thank you 🫶🏽
@@Watchmefail. so glad it came out nice!!! sometimes when you’re holding the last row while you’re stitching you stretch it out a little making it look curved, totally get that
Is it possible to increase the width of the scarf by adding more chains on the chain row or does it messup the pattern?
Multiple of four plus three 😄
what kind of Yarns did you use? and How many rolls? Thank you so much. I love your pattern
Thank you so much! I used Bernat Premium but any worsted #4 weight would work.
Lovely 🌹.
If my yarn wasn’t as thick and I wanted to make the width wider how many chains can I add?
Are you going in the back of the V? Or both?
Which part are you referring to?
@@ThroughTheLoopYarnCraft for the hdc, may I know if it is a back loop only hdc?
@@michelefernandz It is both loops
@@ThroughTheLoopYarnCraft I was also wondering which hop or both! Thanks.
How much time will take to make this scarf ?
Does the pattern have to end a certain way or is the last row just a half double crochet?
Very nice
Your HDC are back loop only from what I'm seeing right?
The HDC are under both loops
What I saw was some parts she do back loops and some parts under the loops, That is confusing 🤔
Yall, because of the way hdc looks, it seems as if shes going in the back loop only, but she's going through both. You have to look at the stitches from the top 😊
Hello I took 38 chain as my yarn is thin so total 37 hdc .then after last FP only 1 stitch is left .is my calculation is correct ?
You have to take multiple by 4..like 36..40..44
How many chains do I make if I would like it to be wider than 28? Can I do 2x28 or? :)
Multiple of four plus three I think 😁
What’s the multiple of the chain?
3+1
Hi plase help, I don't understand from row 3 how can the pattern be in multiples of 4 (3 hdc + 1 fpdc) but still finish the row with 27 which is not a multiple of four, i try and at the end of the row i have the fpdc and 1 extra stitch :( i don't know what i'm doing wrong
At the end of each row you actually end with three hdcs which make it 27 stitches. The pattern is three hdcs then one fpdc and yes, that is a multiple of four. You repeat that pattern 6 times which leaves you with 24 stitches, and then the extra three hdcs make it 27. Hope that helps 🙏 😊
@@jordansanford1568 lifesaver! I was struggling with this.
Beautiful pattern thank you. However i think the scarf comes out too wide. In future i would reduce the starting chain to 18 to give it a more reasonable size.
is it normal for me to have 35 stitches after row 3 instead of only 27?
I had this problem too!! She says in the video to "not skip the stitch right next to the FPDC, but I skipped it and I managed to get 27 stitches and not the 35 stitches
what is the multiples?

Hi, i need help! I've done a lot of crochet but always always always had trouible with the chain row )which is the easiest) - when I turn to start first row, my chains never look like yoiurs, always stretched or separated and cannot for certain differentiate where they are and as a result my numbers are always off - any hope for me? -
Hi! My best advice would be to just keep practicing the chain until it becomes nice and even!
Size hook are you using
6 mm
scarf is a masterpiece, but can you give more information in the description, please? it would be much better to have ability to see info about hook, yarn and size of scarf below video in any time you need. although thank u very much for tutorial!!!
Thank you! You can find more detailed information here: www.throughtheloopyc.com/fairbrook-scarf-free-pattern/
She told you it was a size 6 crochet hook.....of course it's up to you how long and how wide you want it
how long should it be?
Hello,
Mine was 50” with 122 rows but you can continue the repeats until your desired length.
Hope that helps!
@@ThroughTheLoopYarnCraft yes it does! thank you
