This is also called the Crystal Wave stitch. I made a blanket years ago using this stitch. Turned out pretty. It's great for solid colors, not so much for the variegated yarns.
It’s beautiful! What kind of yarn are you using? Is it 3 or 4 weight and is it acrylic or can it be done in cotton? I’d love to try this pattern. Thanks for showing this ❤
I have a daughter by marriage (I don’t like the term in-law) who would absolutely love this scarf, and green just happens to be her favourite colour as well, so I know how it will look all worked up! Thanks so much!
Currently crocheting this and it is going amazing! It’s a very easy stitch to learn and consistent, instructions are very clear and thank you for this tutorial :)
What a wonderful pattern for this St Patrick’s Day!! Beautiful color too! Making it as soon as I get that yarn!! Thank you, Jennifer, for your usual great tutorial! 🤗
This worked up beautifully for me as a blanket prayer shawl. I tripled the width and went about 72". I love the texture it gives. I used an ombre yarn and it's gorgeous. Wonderful tutorial - so easy to follow. This is a great stitch to meditate to. I also finished my starting edge with a row (2) which gave that edge a nice finish & helps with the overall form. Great pattern, thank you!
Thank you for this beautiful pattern. I especially enjoy the puffiness of it. Used left over supper soft Lion brand Jeans blue yarn #4 but with a hand thinner than normal. When the end didn't match the beginning across I added two chains across and one chain added to the beginning to make them look more alike. Perfect for our occasional chilly North Florida days. A far cry from the old snow shoveling days.
Nice scarf. I like to learn it. I wish you did at least two more row to make a beginner like me to understand more. Thank you and I will watch the video again a few times till I get it. Thank you 🙏 😊
I am a beginner and loved this stitch! However, using the I hook made it looser and it wasn't as tight as what you showed in your video. It is still lovely!
This is a beautiful pattern. The end row has a scallop edge but the starting row has a straight edge. I am wondering if it would be possible to add a matching scallop border to the starting edge.
Thanks for the video, for acrylic weight 4 yarn, what hook size do you suggest to use? I'd like to make this. Thank you in advance. Happy St. Patricks Day!
I’m a little bummed. I made this as my very first scarf. Then saw how different the ends were and unraveled the entire thing and started over, assuming it was my fault for miscounting. Got to the end and realized that the ends simply do not match. I did my best to add one of the rows onto the beginning of the scarf but it’s still not perfect and I’m frustrated. Perhaps you could just point that out either in the beginning of your video, to make sure your followers don’t mind the mismatch, or show us how to make the ends match in the end? Just feedback coming from a beginner. I do love the pattern and the yarn I chose looks great! I think my friend will love it, even if it isn’t perfectly symmetrical 🤷🏼♀️
I found a workaround - work the first row as per the video, then turn your work upside down so the peaks face downwards and then work the first row again in the foundation chain so you have peaks facing up :) It's a bit fiddly, but the bottom border will look like the last row when you have finished the scarf. I am a crochet beginner too, but this was not going to beat me!
I'm almost done and noticed this as well. Epic failure, very unprofessional to not have the ends the same. The only fix is to make the last end straight, BUT I prefer the wavy. I'll try to figure it out. Again, epic failure.
I can't understand what type of yarn you need? Dk? Please let me know. Want to make this. Hard to understand , you are a little fast for my ears! Thank you! Debbie!
What I did isn’t perfect, but it still made it straight. After the last row I just chained 3 put slip stitch into the gap, did a chain, and did a single crochet into the second stitch on the next bump, and then repeated it for the rest, the 3 chain is only needed at the beginning of the row. I know I’m explaining it bad, but I hope it helps.

I have a question. The starting edge is straight but the last edge is scalloped. This looks off to me. Is there anything I could do to make it look like the starting end?

I’ve learned it as the Tulip stitch , as soon as she started I was like, I recognize that!
Oh no! Why is that? I just ordered my yarn, and its cream with splotches of grey through it. 😢
Love watching your tutorials. You're always so clear and make the pattern easier to understand. Thanks Jo x

Celticscarf
Beautiful stitch. Currently making a big scarf with it.
This is a really pretty little project that would be fantastic “take along” to work on in traffic, etc(of course, not while driving! Lol!)
Beautiful!
Beautiful 😍
Its beautiful ❤️😍
Perfect! Just what I was looking for!
I've seen this pattern and the videos made with it many times and do love the stitch pattern. I've never seen it called Celtic song before though.
I made 5 ft 2 inch long blanket
And i love it ❤
Go Celtics yes I'm from Massachusetts.
I've been doing this st. since I learned the C2C pattern . But I only do 2 chs. 💜 it.
Another beautiful pattern ☘️❤️
Beautiful thanks for the tutorial
Great scarf💖

That’s a beautiful stitch! I’ve seen it called Crystal Waves.
Ilove this pattern. 😍
👍🙏🌹Lovely scarf.

Hi, made this scarf in crimson red - added tassels too😊. Thanks for the lovely design🥰!
❤love it❤
This is pretty but I am thinking of a grey Heather but a worsted weight. I don't have any dk
This is a beautiful pattern. The end row has a scallop edge but the starting row has a straight edge. I am wondering if it would be possible to add a matching scallop border to the starting edge.
I've seen this pattern before but they called it the horizontal C2C. It's pretty no matter what it's called. I like that color of green.
Beautiful scarf, many thanks. PLEASE WOULD YOU TELL ME WHERE YOU BOUGHT YOUR MANNEQUIN? ❤️❤️❤️
I love your work. Can you help me? I am just a beginner, whatever I do I can't get the perfect square as the rows go higher. Thanks.
Isn't this the Sober Granny stitch? It's very simple, I like it.
Thanks for the video, for acrylic weight 4 yarn, what hook size do you suggest to use? I'd like to make this. Thank you in advance. Happy St. Patricks Day!
Hi I just found this video yesterday and I finishing up today; but the edge is different than when starting
Like to learn how to do it.
I dont understand what I have to change to make it wider
When making your starting change do in multiple of 4 plus 1, she did 32 plus 1 to get 33 , I am doing 40 plus one to get a wider scarf
Do multiples of 4 till your project is as wide or narrow as you want it, then add 2.
Sorry plus 1 not 2
Can lettering be done on this design
Hello I'm learning. Dk yarn is that a weight #3? Thank you so much.

It's almost like a C2C pattern, but not on the diagonal.
Isn’t this the Corner to Corner stitch-horizontal row version?? I love the C2C stitch for making scarves and this looks the same to me.
Could you please send me , where to purchase this yarn ?
Beautiful scarf. May I please ask is one end of the scarf flat (first row) and the other end jagged (last row)?
Same. Just finished and notice the ends don’t match. One wavy and one flat. Is it suppose to be that way?
I'm almost done and noticed this as well. Epic failure, very unprofessional to not have the ends the same. The only fix is to make the last end straight, BUT I prefer the wavy. I'll try to figure it out. Again, epic failure.
@@cathyc5968 Hello Cathy. Did you figure out how to make the end straigh like the beginning?
I was able to add one row of the same stitch on the beginning side so each end turns out the same. It worked out nicely.
@@qster26 Hello, yes I sure did, thank you for asking.
I can't understand what type of yarn you need? Dk? Please let me know. Want to make this. Hard to understand , you are a little fast for my ears! Thank you! Debbie!
This is the same pattern as the winter gems wrap but in light weight yarn. Pretty anyone remember the stitch?
May you please give me the exact mesures? Thanks
Can i this is size 3 yarn ?
How do you end this scarf? Is it not the same as the other end?
What I did isn’t perfect, but it still made it straight. Mine keeps curling on the first row. What am I doing wrong?

One end is trait and the other end is zigzag how do you make both of them straight?
How do you make both of the end straight across?

I had the same question
Add a row of the same stitch to the beginning row and both ends will be the same.
