When he started talking about overcoming mistakes by facing them head-on and getting them out of the way, the music amped up in excitement and it felt like he was a character in some anime giving an inspirational speech lol. Such a wholesome and talented artist, so glad I found this channel
I LOVE your little pep talk about getting failure out of the way, and just jumping right in! This is something I've intuitively understood as an artist but have been unable to explain to my friends and family who are discouraged when it comes to art. Thanks!
That was awesome. It’s really true what you said about being afraid to put pixels to screen… I’ve had that a lot. I feel the more I get quicker and used to the tools and interface the less scared I am and the more I’m just in a flow state 😊 Thanks. That was my first video of yours… gonna watch some more in the morning.
I've been main-veining your videos for a week, now, trying to get a better hold on pixel art and by extension -- making a game. I've been wanting to make a game for a while now, but never got around to it. So, your videos have been a big help part of my daily learning routine. Thank you!
it's been said a lot already and I'm fairly late to discovering your series but the little side bar about being afraid to put pixels on the screen hits home hard for me, extremely needed to hear that so thank you! 🙏
I would love if you could make a video on color pallet selection and how to go "darker" or "lighter" on a color tone. That's where I struggle the most. Love the content mate, thanks.
content is so great for beginners (I'm sure for advanced too) but I love how you're able to break this down in a way that doesn't seem daunting for newbies like me
Just taking a moment to appreciate your zen nature in your videos, Adam. You are incredible in not only teaching the aesthetics of pixel art itself, but also how to train your brain and eye to achieve the results you want. Thank you for taking your time and effort to share all this with the world :)
I'm loving your lessons... I felt it when you said there was no reason to be embarassed if you're a beginner. I feel super embarassed about my simple creations, even when I'm super proud of them lol. But I'm learning everyday! That shading tool is sooo good for scenarios! I'm buying this app once I get the money. I use photoshop for now but that's fine cause I'm not making art for games or whatever, I'm learning pixelart as a hobby.
I played Insignia for a while. I thought that the walk animation was not very fitting to the rest of the movements, the guys' legs open up too wide when he walks, while the rest of the animations are very fluid and realistic. The game is really nice and gives me the same feeling as a Harry Potter movie. Can't wait for the full release.
i havent found a single video of yours that ISNT helpful. Thank you so much for all your effort. Your YT channel is basically a pixel art beginner's bible.
I just realized I even draw pixel art better with a tablet, weird, I always thought a mouse would be better for it but not for me I guesss also beautiful art! I'm a beginner so I'm just trying to learn some techniques
i see its a pretty old vid but i have to tell. just started to geting in to programing and thought about lets start with some classics snes was the console and zelda the game now im in to pixel art content since i could not found any good tilesets so i creat my own zelda lokalike tile set
These days I have a strategy for building palettes that I do before I start a project, then make modifications as I start using it. You can find videos about palette creation here on the channel :)
My God man... When you zoom out on your art it doesn't even look like pixel art 😭 the man is on another level 😅
The insult taht is also acompliment AT THE SAME TIME
lol

It made me feel really happy; and I can't wait to continue getting better with this style of art 💖

9:15 This is probably the best piece of advice for any kind of artist. It's also exactly what I've needed to hear and realize for myself, thank you!
I always tell people when they talk down on themselves “You gotta start somewhere” 😊🤘
"Why should you be embarassed if you are a beginner?" that hits so hard and motivates even further!

What is the palette you are using? It's pretty great.
Great videos, would you consider including key presses on screen so we can follow with hotkeys too?
thank you for the great tutorial :)

Which SOFTWARE do you use for draw ?
Are you using a tablet and stylus? I'd love to know what works well with Asesprite!
did the playlist change order or is just me?
nice man I do pixel art on my channel too
What is the pallete you use? Is it one in the aseprite library? Or is it your own pallete. If it's your own, is there somewhere that i can download ?
Dope!
Hey Adam how long did it take for you to get at this level??
how do u make a pallete such as yours... do you make it before starting any work
These days I have a strategy for building palettes that I do before I start a project, then make modifications as I start using it. You can find videos about palette creation here on the channel :)
