  • After having issues storing my 12ft Christmas tree, I realized the oversaturated market of tree storage bags and bins sucks! Dude, you are the answer to my Xmas tree prayers. Love the name Gobbler 5000. This is what I needed. I have to some measuring to see how many I need. But, it is exactly what I was looking. I have given you a thumbs up for great video. All, that is left is to say thank you for taking the time to make the video. I know it takes time and effort to get it to us. Take the video, edit it, and the time to set up and take the video. So, than you so much for the time you put in to this to help others. Just wanted to put that out there!

It’s strange this hasn’t been done yet. But I believe I’ll be taking on your idea soon! I want to store the tree in my garage and in something the possible move won’t be able to chew in to. Thanks for the idea!

This is way better than what I was planning on doing, I have a total of five Christmas trees in our home, I was going to build a wooden box, in this case this is a lot cleaner. Thank you for the idea.

Also a good way to store a large radio controlled model boat so that it doesn’t get damaged!

Love the video. Is there is a 3D printer big enough to make this a reality?

Just an idea, instead of all the nuts and bolts, you can use some JB Weld PlasticWeld or even some construction adhesive. If you scuff the surface, it will hold on polypropylene.

Or even just rivets. They’re super cheap and less of an eyesore.

I have a Balsam Hill flip tree. Half the tree that has the wheels is 6’ tall x 4’ wide. I think I have to use the provided very hefty dust bag, and small vertical shed…

You can also use rivets instead of screws.

Exactly what I was thinking… probably some 3/16” pop rivets, with fender washers… save the grinding step.

May I ask why you didn’t use glue over the blots?

This would actually be sturdy enough to put other things on top! I that using a soft bag and you can't stack or you get flimsy cardboard lined ones that get bent up.
BTW these now cost over $40 per store-bought tote so you're looking at around $90+ per completed project. Inflation sucks 😢

dude this is awesome, can u store your tote hack tote vertically ? all the xmas bags ive seen are god aweful and store horizontally ….. this takes up way to much room. Your design may just be the trick for vertical storage. thanks

Looks very narrow, seems like my tree wouldn’t fit widths wise but awesome idea

The base of my 12ft tree is like 5ft and it fits. Granted I made 2 of these bc my tree is so massive. Like most trees mine breaks down in vertical sections so if you fold the branches in it'll likely fit.

I like this video, but was very disturbed by the not family friendly ad content of what was, essentially, an adult toy. Sometimes you want to watch a Christmas tree storage video, and actually do NOT want to be bombarded by totally unrelated ads.

Unfortunately, content creators don't choose what ad content is included. In most cases, ads are based on targeting cookies. Each time you visit a website data is collected and used to later to suggest products based on the viewers search history.

The OP has no control over the ads. Indeed, the companies place cookies where the viewer has had a history of seeing certain ads.
Oddly enough, you weren't that offended upon hearing the comparison between the Christmas tree bag and a body bag. Just what's up with your family?

    • @Patrick.Leaman

Ads are based on your search history or your family’s if they use your accounts so you might not want to search for adult toys lol 😂
