Dude I worked for company that makes modular tiny homes...hotel rooms individual and stacked mods...but you have taken tiny...mobile...and inexpensive to an inspiring level...for most people the mods are way to expensive and will rent or sell for way to much...how nice to give your creativity for people to have a little dignity and hope...be well...be safe...Peace

I wish someone would come up with something like this for seniors on a tight budget, I would love this. I live with my kids now but would love to live on my own again. There are only a few counties in FL that allow tiny homes and unfortunately I don't live in one of this counties.

I have been homeless due to serious chronic medical condition. I lived in a tent in a wooded area in the middle of town in the summer.
After ending up in the hospital from living like I did, despite having good healthcare the whole time, I did get services that helped me get stable housing, which stabilized my health. I continue to get support from those community services.
What most people dont get is that expecting people to get a job, over come addiction, address mental health or health issues DOES NOT WORK until a person has a safe, stable, protective, form of housing, even as simple as the little portable sleep camper in this video. You can not address any issue if you are hungry, scared of injury and violence, theft, and never truely sleep.

❤ lm blessed living in my SUV since Jan 2021, letting go of time, letting go of pain that doesn't belong to me is what healed my soul. Surround yourself with community. People see how hard you try & they cheer you on. So much Love/support out there. My next step is to look for opportunities to help others because l see the joy in faces that help me 🫂 😇

Will be destroyed by the state even if movable. It's legally not livable you must be hooked up to gas and electricity. Homeless have been dealing with these issues for years. Some people get jailed for living on their own property... Some people have homes already can't pay gas or electricity if they have annoying neighbors the state will force them to leave the home. Can't live in a camper on land you own you'll be ousted unless you got cool neighbors.

Yet manufacturers of homes are FILTHY Rich, while these small shelters would be a pittance to provide for the homeless; they’d even be able to write it off on their taxes to recoup more than they spent. Even without a foam pad on the floor, this would mean so much to someone. To be at least off the ground, in warm bedding, able to cook, be out of the wet etc would be such a massive bonus.
My only two concerns here are wind driving rain between the fascia and the roofing at each end (maybe use some silicon or expanda foam??) and the latch on the outside being how it is, would allow some creep to put a pin through the latch whilst Daryl is inside sleeping, essentially locking him into the box. Beyond those two points that probably should be considered, brilliant work.

This is wonderful that you guys help this man have a home on wheels. At first, I thought, “I wish that a bicycle would be connected to that house”. But then again, if the guy is tired, he can just park the house in a safe secluded area, and take a nap in it. Sadly, there are homeless people still living in tents under bridges or sidewalks…. Or just sleep on the sidewalk without a sleeping bag or tent, nothing. I’m glad this man is pleased with his new home.

You should teach people how to do this, I would love to be able to do this to help people who need it. With very little money you are making such an impact. I live in the Pittsburgh area, and we have cold winters and hot summers, but usually not too extreme, there are so many people that could benefit from little houses like this. I don’t posses the skills to do this, but if you taught ppl how, or even did a series on UA-cam that people could pay a small fee to learn so many more people could be reached and given shelter when they are needing help, and every one needs a hand up once in a while. Keep up being an awesome genuine human, i for one, will keep watching!🙂

Great ideas. I’d be adding locks for the wheels so someone doesn’t pull them away when they are inside… plus a lock inside for safety… also a window for some light… because it’s almost like an isolation box. Which isn’t good for the mental health of the homeless. It’s nice what you guys did but you can buy mini solar foldable panels to carry (very light and charges decent items) and 4 season tents to put in backpacks with 4 season sleeping bags… IMO - I’d prefer that if I was homeless. But this does inspire me to provide bags like these to our own homeless communities where I live. Just a few pointers… keep up the good work and hopefully with more donations you can up the quality a little more for mental health. But I totally get not providing something luxury for the homeless because we don’t want them to be homeless forever so it makes sense to give just the very very basics. Kudos ❤

Jeezus, you really think people want to stay homeless so they can sleep right in their own coffins to expedite burial prn? I was a housing caseworker for over 25 years and people never figure it out that the homeless are us and we are only one physical illness or mental horror from being in their place. I can't help wonder how police and authorities will perceive this build- will they tow it off and impound it themselves when it's parked somewhere they don't want it? Will others be trying to steal the solar panels or even open it up like a can of soup? It's better than a tent but most homeless are families with children. There needs to be solutions like taxing the rich so social safety net programs can continue. They are always on the chopping block before defense budgets are..
